Hi, I am running the Auto Fan Control plugin and want to achive that the fans of the array stop spinning if the hard disk are spin down(not running). The used array fans are "2 x Noctua NF-A9 PWM" and connected to my minisforum AR900i. Plugin and dirver (Nuvoton NCT6687 Driver) is installed. Tried several settings but I cant get it running. Is there an alternative maybe?

Okay I don't have this driver installed. So it might be something different on my end. Will try to check the logs if there is something written. All worked before I did updated my plugins including this one

I have a similar problem that my dashboard is not loading. Can you explain detailed how to revert den driver if its the same issue on my unraid server?

Thx for the excellent work Unraid Team. Now I know what my freezes caused Macvlan and ubiquiti switches. I tried the suggestion in the release notes but the option i greyed out on my system. I have three NIC in my system. 2 onboard and one 10GB Nic Card. Onboard should be as bond0 at a 802.3ad ubiquiti switch.

Update: It seems that the answer from @JorgeB with the C-States did helped, but anyway I still don't know why this happens now and not before the last years. Nevertheless this topic can be closed with solved.

Okay my mistake thanks I missed that in the documentation. So I just enter there localhost ip "127.0.0.1" right? Now I see a syslog-127.0.0.1.log onto the share generated.

Update: Server freezed again but I can't see any logs generated onto the location of "vms". This share is a cache only one. I did it again with now mirror tto flash as additional logging destination:

Thanks for the link. Strange why this happens now and didn`t occured before. Anyway I will try this and come back after some days if it happens again. Nice feature with that local syslog option will also enable this for 7 days.

Hi community, I am running a Unraid Server a couple of years now without any major problems till now. The problem is the following that every couple days my server disconnects from the network with all of three network interfaces. This happens randomly and can only be fixed if it shutdown the server manually on the power button and then start it again. Already tried to look at the logs but couldn't find anything related to it as I cannot look backwards in the logs. Also I have attached the diag logs and maybe someone has a clue what that can be. Hi everyone, I am now fighting 2 days with this script and didn't managed to get any of the macos versions running. Everytime after the first reboot I get back to the first screen with reinstall or format the disk. My disk is not showing up only the macosbase disk. What I am missing here? Followed also the latest spaceinvaderone video about this but same issue.

Hi everyone, I am use this script/plugin since a couple of days but have now the following issue: The Windows 10 VM is running 24/7 and backup is planned every day at 21:00, but the state of the VM is paused. Is it possbile to resume the VM automatically after the backup was finished or that the vm is not paused while a VM backup is performed? Also I have set it to to snapshot backups but my files are always the same size (22GB each vdisk) Update: System is going to sleep because somehow the energy settings have been changed (not by me). So this issue is solved but the one with creating snapshots instead of every day full backups is still open. Anyone has an idea?

Das stimmt jedoch hat der auch schnellere USB 3 Ports um die Daten nochmal zusätzlich auf externe Disks zu sichern. Das würde dann schon mein Vorhaben mit soviel wie möglich von bestehender HW zu verwenden wiedersprechen :) Nein ist neben meinem Netzwerkschrank eine Ablagefläche:

Danke für die Tipps. Beide Gehäuse passen von den Abmaßen her nicht in den vorgesehenen Abstellort rein. Das Einzige Gehäuse welche ich von den Filtern her finden konnte wäre das "Fractal Design Node 304" gewesen. Beim Mainboard tendiere ich zum Z390, da neuerer Chipsatz und nur 20€ teurer als das von ebay kleinanzeigen. So folgendes hätte ich Zusammengestellt und würde nach deinem Absegnen bzw. Hallo Community, ich möchte mein altes QNAP 670Pro NAS ablösen und ein Unraid System bauen und dabei hätte ich folgende HW herumliegen und um diese herum soll das neue System entstehen: CPU: Intel Core i5-8400T Arbeitsspeicher: diverse DDR4-SO DIMM (3 x 8GB + 1 x 16GB) HDDs: 4 x 6 TB (WD60EFRX) + 2 x 8 TB (WD80EFAX) Somit fehlen: Mainboard mit 6 SATA + 1-2 m2 SSDs Netzteil Gehäuse (max B.H.T.: 30cm/24cm/40cm inkl. Netzteilanschluss) (vl sowas: https://geizhals.at/fractal-design-node-304-weiss-fd-ca-node-304-wh-a978785.html?hloc=at&hloc=de) Anwendungsszenario: 1 - 2 VMs (Windows, MacOS/Linux) 2-3 Docker (Plex, Wireguard, Homeassistant) Falls es keinen Sinn macht die SO-DIMMs zu verwenden, weil das Mainboard dann zu teuer wird könnte ich auch neuen Arbeitsspeicher (32GB) nehmen.

Hello, sorry if this was already asked, but can I use the vpn manager to import a tunnel and to connect to a different wg-server over this plugin or is this not possible and the plugin is only working as a server? Purpose want to connect to a client where I run a wg-server at rpi and rsync files between two NAS.

Danke das Video habe ich gestern schon angeschaut und von dort diese vm.dirty Werte probiert. Wieso bemerke ich nichts davon bei meinem Kopiervorgang von mehreren TBs an Daten mit dem RAM-Cache?

Hallu UnRaidler, ich habe seit einer Woche mein erstes UnRaid-System im Einsatz auf welchem ich nun meine Daten übers Netzwerk (rsync/smb) kopiere. Dabei habe ich ein Geschwindkeitsproblem wenn ich die Daten übers Netzwerk move. Dieses System habe ich im Einsatz: https://geizhals.at/?cat=WL-2000168 Meine Config besteht daraus, das ich ein Array aus 7 x WD 6TB + 1 x WD 8 TB als Parity. Der Cache besteht aus 2 x 1 TB NWMe im RAID1. Nun zu meinem Problem, wenn ich meine Daten über das Netzwerk entweder über Rsync oder SMB kopiere ändert sich die Übertragungsgeschwindigkeit von 112MB/s nach 10-15 min auf langsame 40-45MB/s. Habe auch probeweise den SSD-Sache bei dem Kopiervorgang (Cache = YES) zu aktiviert aber hier gerate ich mit dem Mover in Konflikt da dieser es nicht schnell genug schafft die Daten von der SSD auf das Array zu kopieren und hier bricht der Kopiervorgang ab. Auch die Option mit dem RAM-Cache habe ich probeweise auf 50% (vm.dirty_ratio), aber dies brachte auch keine Besserung. Gibt es irgendwelche Optionen die ich nicht kenne damit ich ich hier meine Netzwerkperformance steigern kann? PS: Anbei ein Screenshot vom meinem UnRaid-System wo gerade die Files vom SSD-Cache "langsam" gemoved werden.
