I would like to restore my unraid server installation back to factory default. I don't know the best way to do it. How do I maintain my file server HDD configuration? How do I retain my plex library data? Please advise.

Actually....I figured it out...it was something with windows credential manager....

I tried to search for this solution but I couldn't find the fix. I had to replace my motherboard on my server and got everything working except I can't access my shares in Windows through \\Tower. Under my network tab in Windows Explorer, Tower shows up but when I go to click on it, says Windows can't access \\Tower. I can access it if I use the IP address. The server DHCP is disabled. Is there something that I need to do since I swapped motherboards?

Hello... I had a motherboard go bad so I had to replace it with a different brand and model but using the same CPU, memory, etc... It's working but noticed some odd things... Won't go into GUI mode...stays stuck on the login screen, however, when you connect to the server through the web interface, everything is accessible... My UPS won't communicate with the new motherboard on any of the the USB ports. I have tried to update the drivers to no avail but keep getting lost communication errors. Is there anything I should do when replacing a whole new motherboard? tower-diagnostics-20171104-2201.zip

Hello....added a new disk to the array and it showed up on unassigned disks. I selected the preclear option and it just stays stuck on "retrieving information". Please advise.

Well...I am an idiot...so sorry for wasting your time. I have 3 AOC-SAS2LP-MV8 cards which are different than the SASLP obviously...I don't think the Raid disable steps for the SASLP would work for the SAS2LP (or would it?) They all have the same bios and I managed to install one at a time on my other desktop to disable the INT13 setting. Now...like other people on here...I can only get 2 to boot up at a time...when I go to add the 3rd card... (I have to remove the video card)....it hangs up but since I don't have a video card, I don't know where. I currently have a Fatal1ty 970 Performance motherboard. Would going with a ASUS TUF Sabertooth 990FX R3.0 AM3+ ATX Motherboard (4 PCI-E slots..so I can still have the video card) work? Sigh...

I am getting ready to do this...so I am nervous...however, I can't seem to get into the Marvell BIOS with ctrl-M....when it pops up, I hit it, but goes right into the boot sequence...

Hello...my server is currently on a Asrock Fatal1ty 970 Performance motherboard. I have 2 - Supermicro AOC-SAS2LP-MV8 in slots PCIE4 and PCIE5. I wanted to expand the system with another Supermicro AOC-SAS2LP-MV8 in slot PCIE2. When I installed the 3rd adapter, the system would not completely boot. Obviously, I couldn't see where it is hanging up at because it didn't have a video card on it (oddly enough, the motherboard does not have onboard video). Can someone advise? PCI slot: The PCI1 slot is used to install expansion cards that have 32-bit PCI interface. PCIe slots: PCIE1 (PCIe 2.0 x1 slot) is used for PCI Express x1 lane width cards. PCIE2 (PCIe 2.0 x16 slot) is used for PCI Express x16 lane width graphics cards (Currently video card....want to install Supermicro AOC-SAS2LP-MV8) . PCIE3 (PCIe 2.0 x1 slot) is used for PCI Express x1 lane width cards. PCIE4 (PCIe 2.0 x16 slots) is used for PCI Express x8 lane width graphics cards (CurrentlySupermicro AOC-SAS2LP-MV8) . Hi Fuggin, those permissions issues are more like warnings. If Fix Common Problems doesn't find any issues, you should be ok. Also, if you run calc again after Fix Common Problems, do you still get the warnings ? In any case, I'll check if I'm on sync with FCP issue detection. Yes...I get the warnings all the time even after doing a rescan of FCP. I just didn't want to risk moving anything until I was sure. Thx!

Performed a dry run calc and it gave me all these permissions issues. As instructed, ran Fix Common Problems and there were no problems with permissions. I don't use Dockers. Please advise.

I enabled the unbalance server and when I go to click on the open UI....nothing happens. I am running 6.3.0-rc4

RUnning v6.3.0-rc2 and using the version mentioned above, but unless I am completely missing it, where are the settings and changes for this?

Running the latest version - the Total column looks more like an average to me. I would have expected a sum? Is this plugin still around? The link doesn't work...

I would still check BIOS and make sure all cores are enabled....stranger things have happened.... I have a 6-core AMD processor running RC3 and all the cores show up fine.
