  1. Successfully updated to 5b6 from 4.7 on my server. I did not have to re-add my disks. All my 6 HDs were detected and valid. Currently running a parity check.
  2. Just ordered two! Thanks OP and to everyone for their feedback on this device.
  3. If the next release is stable enough, I just might risk my server and use it. As long as Airvideo and subsonic continues to work properly with the new release, then I am set. Some advice on when to start using betas and new releases Thanks for the great guide bjp999. Added it to my favorites. That thread should stickied and on the WIKI.

  6. Kapperz, Wow, you are quick in updating the ffmpeg Been away for a while and didn't check this thread. Thank you! PS: https support is added in the latest 4.4 beta
  7. Thanks kapperz. I just downloaded the scripts04.zip. Will you be compiling FFmpeg 0.6.1 and updating your transcode.zip in the near future? Thank you very much for creating this tutorial.
  8. Can't seem to find scripts04.zip in the OP's post. I will modify subsonic_copy_from_memory.sh manually and add those lines. In the process of updating to Subsonic 4.3 with video support Update: Updated to Subsonic 4.3 and video streaming is working great with the FFmpeg version 0.5.1 included by kapperz in the OP. Where can I find a pre-compiled FFmpeg 0.6.1?

  19. SCSI

    2TB Drives

Both drives are WD20EADS. I should have mentioned that the 11.7 MBs is the max transfer rate when writing to the disk share. I get 45+ MBs when reading from the WD20EADS. I can write to my Hitachi 2TB (7200rpm) disk share at close to 40 MBs which is a big difference and won't require me to have a disk cache.

    2TB Drives

I just added two WD20EADS (5400rpm) and transfer rates to those HDs max at 11.7MBs while my Hitachi 2TB (7200rpm) max at 34-40MBs with parity on. Why is the big difference??
