hi all, i have limetech's plex docker version 0.9.15.2 installed (a recent update to plex docker). all of my media libraries were missing when i restarted plex. had to re-add them. also, had to re-add same libraries to all friends with whom i share Plex media. anyone seeing this same problem? a google search for "plex 0.9.15.2" turned up a few recent posts on plex msg board where others report same problem. (i have re-added all libraries so i am good.) thanks.

i may be in the minority, but i have questions about the power supply being powerful enough for all those drives plus TWO video cards (presumably, high end video cards that draw a lot of power). How about removing all hardware added since last time the parity check completed successfully (September? August?) and see if a new parity check will finish properly? Just another option. I am no expert in reading the logs.

is your new power supply more powerful (watts) than the one used before you added new video card? seems like power supply is not enough to run all the drives plus video card. can you remove video card and start parity check?

what options exists for us non-Apple users? i don't have iTunes installed anywhere.

can you connect monitor to computer and see what messages are displayed during boot up? i think it might be a power supply problem.

eek, like you, i have installed joch's s3backup docker. i also have a "+" in my AWS secret code field. i dont see any indication that the docker has ever run and the docker log file is nearly empty (it has no err msgs). what specifically did you change to finally get this docker running? thanks, Kevin Sorry never noticed the question until now. I just regenerated my secret code until I got one without a + in it.... wow, did not know this option (regenerate secret code) existed with AWS S3. I now have new secret code (no plus sign) and will re-visit the s3backup docker to see if i can make it work. Thanks.

Hi- Wanted to upgrade son's v5.0.5 3 drive (1 parity, 2 data) system running free version of unRAID. v5 reports no problems with the 3 drives, all are online and "green" status. i reformatted the flash drive to install a v6 "trial" license. v6 boots and reports one of the drives as "unmountable". any ideas? the v6 "trial" version supports 1 parity and 2 data disks, right? i reverted the flash to v5 and am making new backups of all the data, just in case v6 needs to reformat the drive. (i have gotten good at switching flash drive between v5 and v6) dont have any v6 log files/screen shots to post right now, his system is now back to v5.

No reason this couldn't work assuming you actually have videos there and only want to access them on that drive. When you set yours up did actually understand volume mapping or did you just follow somebody else. If a movie was somehow split between disk1 and disk2, a mapping to /mnt/disk1/videos (in Plex) would not allow the movie to play correctly. I always use "user" mappings and it has always worked. I have unRAID 6 and the Limetech Plex docker installed (as of 5 days ago) and it works fine.

/Videos /mnt/disk1/videos This does not look right to me. Shouldn't it be /mnt/user/videos? From memory (I am not near unRAID box now), that is how my video share is mapped.

sounds like power supply may be going bad. what is make, model and age of the PS?

Long time v4 and v5 user here. I got v6 running on a spare PC. Have a 30 day eval key. Also have my first docker (Plex) up and running. It was all quite painless thanks to the useful guides posted on these msg boards. Thanks to everyone who has written guides and answered questions to help others. Now, how do I migrate a working sonarr/sabnzbd setup from a Win10 PC to dockers on my v6 system? Has anyone done that? Those two apps took a lot of fiddling to make them play together nicely. I do not really look forward to doing that again with two dockers. Also, when i access web GUI on v5 system ("tower") , i am taken to the v6 system (called "tower6") I cannot bring up web GUI on v5 system from laptop on same network. Any ideas? This is not a big deal as I will power down the test v6 system shortly. Thanks, Kevin

i use Remote Desktop extension to Chrome browser (running on Win 10 PC on same home network as unRAID) to remotely connect to PC at home. It works great and is free.

daquint, I did not get this fixed and have re-purposed the PC (to test Windows 10 tech preview). BUT, long term, I plan to use this spare PC for testing unRAID 6 beta. Do I understand correctly that you configured BIOS to always boot from usb drive and the bios remembers this setting every time you boot?. That is what I need. Thanks for the followup reply.

Gonna pull trigger on one or more of these unless you say not to! 5TB is excellent upgrade option, i think, for my mostly 1.5 and 2 TB drive system (9TB total)

windows 10 tech preview builds BEFORE 10041 (released this week) have this bug. I am using build 10041 on spare PC and can see/browse shares on unRAID 5.0.5 system just fine. no idea on the win 8.1 problem.

When you increase the storage capacity of your server, how much additional capacity do you add? 50%? 100%, 200%? i have 9 TB version 5.0.5 "Plus" system with mostly 2 TB and 1.5 TB drives (5 data, 1 parity, 1 cache) It is nearly 50% full (after about 18 months of operation). I cannot decide if I want to replace 2 TB drives with 3 TB drives or sit tight a few months and look for a deal on some 4 TB drives. Comments?

Pentium G3258. LGA 1150 socket. 4020 passmark score. micro center sometimes has it on sale for $49. newegg sells it for $69. a LOT of bang for the buck.

from what i have read and understand, USB 3.0 ports may not always be active until the OS has loaded. USB 2 ports do not have this problem.

i have ASUS M5A78L-M LX Plus mobo with the same problem. I cannot configure it to automatically boot from USB thumb drive when it is powered on. i always have to enter "boot menu" and select "usb drive". Thanks for posting the solution that worked for you.

also interested. Have these drives in my 10 month old unRAID system. How much life is left in a 5+ year old WD green drive? I have no experience with drives of this age.

connect keyboard and monitor to unRAID system and watch it boot up (cold boot, from powered off). post any error messages you see. does your unRAID license support 7 total drives?
