  1. @Fireball3, sorry I read your note for the log request AFTER clearing out the logs folder for the 2nd card flash… and What a ride… My first Dell Perc H310 Flashed out of the box using your 2017.02.23 zip so I ebayed a second one to flash from the exact same hardware using the same untouched flash drive. This machine and flash drive have sat untouched other than to delete the log files and swap the first PERC H310 for the 2nd one. http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=12767.msg259006#msg259006 While the second one’s default boot configuration (Ctrl+R?) could be entered to confirm the card/firmware/etc, Sas2Flsh refused to recognize the chipset as an LSI. The error messages is "No LSI SAS adapters found!" The solution was to prep the USB drive as referenced in Fireball3’s 2017.02.23 update, then overwrite the contents with LSI-9211-8i.zip from https://techmattr.wordpress.com/2016/04/11/updated-sas-hba-crossflashing-or-flashing-to-it-mode-dell-perc-h200-and-h310/ Once in Free_Dos · megacli.exe -AdpAllInfo -aAll -page 20 · Note: Write down SAS address, will need to press down key a couple of times to retrieve it. · megarec.exe -writesbr 0 sbrempty.bin; megarec.exe -cleanflash 0 · Note: Hard Reboot · megarec.exe -writesbr 0 sbrempty.bin; megarec.exe -cleanflash 0 · 1.bat · Note: expect a failure message asking for firmware · 2118it.bin · 3.bat · 5ITDELL.bat · Note: The first time will fail, type: · 2118it.bin · 5ITDELL.bat · 5ITP7.bat · 5ITP20.bat · 6.bat · Note: will fail, but can now type · sas2flsh –o –sasadd YourSasAddressFrom1Step1 · 1.bat · Note: should now show LSI SAS2008(B2). Look at Logs/Adapter.txt and the Manually entered SAS address should be displayed. · Powered down I Installed a dummy Unraid onto the same Flash Drive, noted that the SAS card's boot menu is now skipped as expected, booted into GUI mode, and I can see a Hard Drive attached to line 0 on adapter A slot ready for assignment on the MAIN tab. Under the Hardware Tab I see the SAS adapter listed. Anything else I should look at before trusting this card? THANKS!
  2. oopsie... excitement typo. fixed Thanks for the AWESOME tools!
  3. WOW... EASIEST flash process ever on this Ebay Dell PERC H310! THANK YOU @Fireball3 Followed the READMEFIRST... and after unziping the contents into the bootable usb (per rufus)... Everything was self guided! (Though some steps take a LONG time) 1.bat (used camera to take a picture of sas address) 2.bat 3.bat 5ITDELL.bat 5ITP7.bat 5ITP20.bat 6.bat (auto pulled sas address perfectly matches what was shown in 1.bat) Now I have an LSI SAS2008(B2) with no silly boot spinups
  4. Thanks dlandon. Will do just that
  5. The Recycle Bin plugin manages samba deleted files and the trash you are talking about is created with NFS mounted shares. I don't think it's a good idea to try to manage NFS trash with this plugin. This would accomplish what you want. Once a day? Good idea guys. Yup, this would be perfect
  6. I love this plug in dlandon! When I delete items from my Linux machine it puts them in . Trash-1000 in the root of the active share. Would it be possible to have this plug-in also monitor .Trash-1000 when it comes to Empty & purge functions? Thanks
  7. Awesome! I can turn this off on the share used for my Wife's Apple backups A little donation should be in your tip jar
  8. Thanks for keeping up with this Dlandon! This plugin has saved my skin and I now consider it a critical component
  9. The one time I had a post-read failure that said my drive was not zeroed like yours did, it was because of bad RAM. Do memtest immediately! I had the exact same issue
  10. Awesome! Machine was segregated from the network, Pre-Clear update took, and selected cancel when prompted to install share data. Right now we fill the entire disk with random info before the Pre-Clear. It will be nice to no longer need a separate machine for this
  11. Most of my communication here is in regards to personal machine tinkering... not the office use. Please, no need to apologize I am certain this use case represents a VERY small fraction of Unraid users, nevertheless it thrills me in how responsive you are in meeting it! You are a fantastic contributor to fleshing out the core functionality I am looking forward to installing the optional reporting on my 2 home machines
  12. Thank you! this WILL be turned on my home machines the ability to ensure that reach outs will not happen automatically (opt-in) ... And loosing the word TOR from email notifications (which is what triggered the response) when not opting-in would help a great deal too!
  13. The firewall is only open at certain days/times and only when certain conditions are met. The firewall controls are separate from the rest of the network. The firewall slams shut if certain kinds of traffic are detected (TOR being one of those) Unraid is not work's primary backup. It is an onsite backup to the backups. We replaced our Ubuntu based backup years ago as Unraid was more stable for this function. We are required to have this onsite backup and it must use a different OS/filesystem from the primary data. CA Auto Update is scheduled to run at a time when other machines have access to reach out for updates while the firewall is open. As such, no user has access to touch files. A script from another machine runs via SSH which stops samba, unmounts each disk, etc The firewall will not open if samba is detected on the network. Before the start of the day, samba and the array is restarted ... I do not have access to manage the firewall or the Samba policies/protocols -> that belongs to a separate independent entity. … Back to the original question. Can the preclear data collection be Opt-In… or at least an option to Opt-Out?
  14. Can data collecting be an opt-in feature PLEASE? both of my home servers and my work server autoupdated the plugin last night. The plugin was not in use on any machine. If this cannot be an opt-in feature I'll sadly have to go back to a v5 build with the JoeL script just for clearing disks at work as we do 3 preclears on all new disks... and 3 preclears on all decommissioned disks and data cannot flow out of the company. While receiving this email was mildly irksome on the 2 home machines... the use of TOR, which is STRICTLY prohibited on any work network, set off a bunch of red flags at work as my business revolves around government/bank/broker/customer confidential information... and I was called in EARLY to investigate who was attempting to breach NDAs to leak restricted information and have been in meetings with the parent company and our customers over what happened for the last 3 hours. I have been very happy with your contributions/work... this update was less than pleasing.
  15. Some recent Unraid updates had significant changes that required this of most previously installed dockers.
  16. I do not BELIEVE so Squid. By default, CP is optimized for 1TB or 1 Million files. A user needs to manual up this amount at essentially 1 MB / 1TB OR 1M Files to be backed up. if the container is 32 GB (not certain if it is or not)... 1.5-2 is about the max.
  17. Rightclick on the Crashplan Icon in the Crashplan Gui to bring up Crashplan's command interface For 2 MB of memory allocation Enter java mx 2048, restart https://support.code42.com/CrashPlan/5/Troubleshooting/Adjusting_CrashPlan_Settings_For_Memory_Usage_With_Large_Backups
  18. After the move to 6.2? I had to remove the container, add it back, setup CP, Start CP, Add the extra RAM (via the click on icon method), restart CP, then via CP allow re-sync to occur. no problems since
  19. Nice job on the update OP!
  20. May I suggest updating the OP to the following: Hi guys, I made a very simple plugin to act as a frontend to use 1 of 3 preclear scripts. Community Apps: Preclear Direct Plugin link: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/gfjardim/unRAID-plugins/master/plugins/preclear.disk.plg You may use my built in preclear script or either Joe L's or Big99's preclear_disk.sh by placing a copy of their script to /boot/config/plugins/preclear.disk/ directory. It's available under Settings/Preclear. When a preclear_disk.sh exists as noted above, you will be given the option under Settings/Preclear if you want to use my script or the optional Joe L/Big999 scripts.
  21. Oh lovely! So my next preclear will be given the option in the dialog window of using Joe L.'s script OR your built in script. Good times Many thanks!
  22. I was an early adopter of this lovely plugin... which means I have been using Joe L.s script... I see that you have script fixes in the latest update.... Does this front-end now utilize the quick preclear script? Does it use your preclear script automatically over Joe L.s manual drop in script? I just want to ensure that I am taking advantage of all the great tweaks you are providing Thanks!
  23. Anyway to buy you a beer for appreciation on both the Preclear Plugin & Crashplan/Desktop work you've done?
