  1. I think this says it all *** Mine is working (6.2.2) and was freshly installed due to docker changes in 6.1.9->6.2, however I only use it to backup from the unraid server to the cloud. I also have a black VNC from my seldom used windows 10 machine after the anniversary update, however from my primary Elementary OS machine access is fine. The parity check speed is slower WHILE crashplan is backing up to the cloud, but not noticeably slower when crashplan is idle. ... Most of the issues people have been having, I do not know how to help with (black VNC, not able to backup TO the unraid crashplan from other computers, etc) ... This Docker/Plugin is, to me, the MOST important added functionality to unraid and I hope it does not go unsupported. The second most important added functionality is the preclearing of HDDs! These are both gfjardim's baby
  2. It is greatly appreciated!
  3. i do not think this is technically possible? As far as I know docker is only capable of hosting Linux apps. To bad....
  4. On 6.2.1 via Unassigned Devices I see I can mount Remote SMB shares Currently I backup Tower1 shares to Tower2 using Rsync in a Tower2/VM Tower1 contains Exported Smb shares with both Read/Write and Read Only users Tower2 contains a Clone of Tower1 shares with Hidden Smb Shares all Read Only user On Tower2's VM I pass through the Shares and mount in FSTAB via Virito 9c. I mount the Tower1 shares in FSTAB via CIFS. http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=45039.0 The Current Script run within the VM uses 2 types of backups: rsync -r -v --progress --ignore-existing -s /home/UbuntuUserName/tower1/writeonce/ /home/UbuntuUserName/tower2/writeonce rsync -r -v --progress --delete -s /home/UbuntuUserName/tower1/documents/ /home/UbuntuUserName/tower2/documents Can I skip the VM overhead and run the backup on Tower2 directly using the following? Mount the Tower1 shares via Unassigned Devices Plugins In a file saved under config/plugins/user.scripts/scripts/backup/script place the equivalent Rsync (are these correct) rsync -r -v --progress --ignore-existing -s /mnt/disks/writeonce/ /mnt/user/writeonce rsync -r -v --progress --delete -s /mnt/disks/documents/ / mnt/user/documents Schedule the running of the script via Squid's User Scripts plugin Thanks Crew!
  5. Take a cue from Office Space (edit.... Sorry, I've been really tired with a teething tot and this seemed cute in the moment) Is the drive In a hot swap bay? Does the sata connection have hot swap enabled? I am curious if it can be popped out?
  6. @limetech official Docker request. A DOS environment where you pass through a SATA/SAS card and the model info via drop down choices. Like VM VIRTIO you can download official IT driver or provide your own. Press play, and use web Gui VNC to flash the card for use in Unraid.
  7. It appears the Dell branded controllers use custom firmware (for Dell) and it's not possible to "flash" them into "IT mode". The closest you get to JBOD is to configure it so that each device is in single-device raid0. But we are still looking into this. And here I thought I was going mad! After flashing other cards I thought I had messed something up in this process when after a couple days I still hadn't figured out the issue!
  8. We have a Power edge at work...*the factory Dell PERC 330 card refused to work in this with Unraid Tossed in a spare PERC 310 And no problems. :-X
  9. Never run Pre-Clear on a SSD as you'll consume some of its limited life. On HDD the I run 3 Pre-Clear cycles as I want the drive over the first bathtub failure hump. I have had a few drives fail on the first Pre-Clear, 1 (maybe 2) on the second. I have yet to experience a drive failure on anything that has passed 3 cycles. We even use 3 Pre-Clear to prep non Unraid drives at work!
  10. I'm just curious if they result in the same changes to CP
  11. Mmmm.... I wonder if these 2 methods of increasing the Crashplan Ram/Memory differ in any way... Yes, it is, but you have to restart it from the unRAID webui.
  12. Have you tried a different Web-browser? I've had this happen a few times after browser updates and falling back to firefox when chrome is fussy has always worked.
  13. Go to Docker, Click on the Play button, select WebUI
  14. @Hoopster... Well... that narrows it down a bit more I suppose... beyond my setup to help though... @tigerdoc... I have about a dozen destination disconnects early last night... which is not the norm... however my backup is working fine. Perhaps try stopping the CP docker and restarting?
  15. I am on CP 4.8 and UR 6.2.0 I pass through Mnt/User and backup a handful of shares Both accessing the GUI and backing up to the cloud is working fine.
  16. Warning to those using Multiple Backup Sources / Share. v6.2 of Unraid and Crashplan not so happy... In v6.1.9 I was able to select multiple Backup Sources, and I added 1/share. In v6.2 the docker refused to start. Blew away the container, added fresh, manually altered xml to include multiple backup sources as the GUI (+) option was no longer available... and the docker crashed and refused to start. Blew away the container, added fresh, and no problem with the initial crashplan setup with a single Backup source: /mnt/user This allows me in crashplan to select all the same info to backup... but it also kicked off a fresh backup. I only send about 650 GB to the cloud, RAW pictures taking up the bulk of this space, so not a huge deal... Thanks for keeping up with this Docker G!
  17. Love it. Some ideas 1 - top banner button, Ransomware shield on (when active, all shares in read only, otherwise use share permissions) 2 - depth/share. How many levels down to place bait files. Default 1. 3 - when Ransomware shield triggered, and active streams / open files is installed, log who triggered and what file was being read.
  18. Is it OK to increase the RAM from the default 1024 MB to 2048? As per: Open the CrashPlan app Double-click the CrashPlan logo in the upper-right corner Enter the following command, using a value appropriate for the size of your backup selection (for example, 1536 for a 1.5 TB selection): java mx 1536, restart The CrashPlan app closes http://support.code42.com/CrashPlan/4/Troubleshooting/Adjusting_CrashPlan_Settings_For_Memory_Usage_With_Large_Backups Thanks!
  19. gfjardim you are awesome!
  20. I can confirm that both Cobian backup and my wife's apple accessed file edits trigger this issue.
  21. Rather impressive results with the tunables so far. With 6.2 Dual parity I can again read access files during the parity check with minimal disruption. The time for the parity check has been shaved down a bit. I use the Supermicro SAS2LP for my Data drives... but the motherboard for my Cache and Parity Drives.... Not certain if I need to play with the following with this setup: This tunable was added to improve the parity check performance some users were having with the SAS2LP, IIRC, you controller uses the same chipset, basically the SASLP and SAS2LP work faster if this value is approximately half the md_sync_window value, other controllers like most LSI based ones, work faster with a md_sync_threash just a little lower than md_sync_window.
  22. Oh crud.... I installed the OP .sh file and I am running that now in Screen on v6.2 Did I screw myself... what should I do??? edit: stopped array, restarted the server. So... do I install the .sh from the OP or Squids .sh? I am running v 6.2 Thanks
  23. I've never run tuneables before... Any reduction in parity checks would be nice.... What I am most interested in knowing is if I can run tunable on my SSD cache to improve write speeds in v6.2 Unraid. Writes to my cache: v5 - ~100 MB/s v6.1.9 40 v6.2 57
