Neues Jahr, neuer Versuch :-D Gibt es da was Neues?

Hallo ist das Thema noch aktuell? Also ich habe auch sehr viele Schreibvorgägne auf meine Cache-SSD und habe dieses Thema gefunden, ist aber von 2021. Docker auf folder anstatt image kann ich nicht umstellen da sonst die Container nicht starten.

one more thing that occurred to me. If I have nginx in between, then I don't have to do port forwarding from router gameserverport to unraid hostip but to nginx. Isn't that more secure? Otherwise I wouldn't know how to give the gameserver container its own ip address to which I can open the port from the router.

But I thought the image is outdated and you should rather use docker folders?

I installed my unraid on my new server and directly set docker files/folder instead of images. I don't know if it's because of this or something else but I don't know what else it could be but I can't restart my containers. As soon as I restart a container, it goes off and doesn't start anymore. Is that still the right way? Why is it not all stored in unraid container the template? Only the --user 99:100 My cron is not running and when I start it via the console, it continues to run endlessly. I have only just installed the container and have not changed anything. when I try it this way docker exec -u www-data Nextcloud php -f /var/www/html/cron.php it says “Cannot write into ‘config’ directory!...” That's why I went directly to the container with right-click, console php -f /var/www/html/cron.php But that is endless.

Die Standardeinstellung bei mir ist bridge und damit kann der Container mit dem Host sprechen...

@DataCollector @MPC561wie habt ihr das mit den Netzwerken und der Kommunikation zwischen den Containern gelöst? Ich hatte ja auch Antwort in diesem Thema gehofft: Aber bist kam da leider nichts Ich möchte dass die Container nicht mit dem Host sprechen können aber trotzdem Zugang zum Internet haben. Das alles ohne extra Firewall und ich habe auch keinen Switch. Ich weiß, das beste wäre einfach nichts von außen erreichbar zu machen.. aber ich möchte z.B. Nextcloud für meine Familie ohne VPN zugänglich machen.

Die Hardware ist noch untwegs ich weiß es ehrlich gesagt noch nicht sicher. DataCollector empfielt keinen Pool zu bauen (weil die SSDs 1TB groß sind) und die beiden SSDs getrennt einmal für Docker und einmal für Cache jeweils im XFS zu nutzen. "Bei Einzeldatenträgern (Array und einzelne Datenträger in Pools): xfs" Alternativ kann man auch ein ZFS mit beiden zusammen erstellen. Genau das habe ich gesucht, danke!

Hallo nochmal ich habe die Hardware heute bestellt. Nun die Frage zu den Einstellungen im BIOS. Gibt es dazu ein Thema? Möchte es optimal einstellen für das B760M. Danke nochmal für eure Unterstützung.

If I understand it correctly now, I open e.g. port 25565 from the router to unRAID and in unraid I create a new port config for the NGINX Docker? Like this: and in NGINX a stream for the gameserver: I'm hoping for more security if I run it via NGINX instead of directly to the game server

Sorry for the late reply.. I was sick a long time and had not the time for this topic. Thanks for your advice! I forward 443 requests to my nginx port 446. So router (192.168.4.1) forwards everything that comes to HTTPS 443 and game server port 25565 to my unRAID-IP 192.168.4.2:446 NGINX is located under 192.168.4.2:446. It is in a proxynet with 172.12.0.2 Gameserver has the 172.12.0.3. This means that if I open port 25565 on my router redirect to 446 and set up a stream on nginx for 172.12.0.3:25565, it does not work. So 192.168.4.1:25565->192.168.4.2:446(172.12.0.2) Stream 25565->172.12.0.3:25565 Maybe I also have a general network design problem

Ich weiß noch nicht was ich machen möchte aber wenn ich mich gegen einen Zusatzkontroller entscheiden würde, wie wäre dann die optimale Zuordnung? 2 HDDs Data, 1 HDD Parity + 1 SSD Docker + 2 NVME Cache Pool oder 2 HDDs Data, 1 HDD Parity + 1 SSD Cache + 2 NVME Docker Pool? Lieber auf Cache Pool verzichten für einen Docker Pool oder ist sowas für den Cache wichtiger? 😅 Was für einen Zusatzkontroller kann ich da nehmen?

Sorry aber ich verstehe es nicht. 😅 Es gibt doch nur 4 SATA Anschlüsse bei dem B760M? Wenn ich 2 HDDs für Daten nutzen will und eine für Parity, bleibt nur noch ein SATA für eine SSD und somit kann diese SSD in keinen Pool mit einer anderen SATA SSD. 1x HDD Parity und 1x HDD Data wäre dann ja nur möglich aber ist das besser um dafür den Cache in einem Pool zu haben? @DataCollector was meinst du mit "Ich selber würde aber zfs nur nutzen, wenn ich Datenträger verbinden will." ? Tür mir leid ich hatte nicht auf dem Schirm dass du das Mainboard nur für Testzwecke nutzt. Jetzt bin ich verunsichert Was würdest du denn alternativ für den Produktivbetrieb empfehlen? @MPC561ich habe mich jetzt gegen das n100m entschieden, da ich Bauteile lieber bei Bedarf austauschen möchte. Trotzdem lieben Dank für den Vorschlag!

Vielen Dank für euren Rat! Ich muss mir jetzt überlegen ob ich B670 oder N100m nehme. Es wird jetzt auf jeden Fall DDR4. Ich passe es oben gleich an Habt ihr noch 1-2 Empfehlungen für einen USB-Stick den man bei Amazon bestellen kann für das OS? Und vielleicht noch eine SATA SSD? @Generation_GTD würde mich auch Interessieren was bei deinem DDR5 Board rauskommt, überlege es auch zuzulegen

Welche würdest du da genau und warum empfehlen? Ja ihr habt Recht, mein Fehler, habe das Falsche genommen Entweder das DDR4 Board von dir oder die DDR5 Variante davon. Das Netzteil hatte ich aus irgendeinem Beitrag, vielleicht auch falsch raus kopiert. Da muss ich wohl nochmal nach schauen! Beim RAM hattest du selber die Mushkin Essentials oder?
