  1. Is there a decent guide out there on how to setup and connect binhex's DelugeVPN and Couchpotato dockers?
  2. Added an option for both. Didn't consider that
  3. Just curious now that the stable/prerelease cycle has been around for a couple of months, what is everyone running? Have you experienced any issues with one or the other? i.e. stable lacking features, or prerelease having broken features?
  4. Don't be too harsh on me... Went the entire weekend without a beer doing this... https://xkcd.com/323/
  5. Here's a thought I just had. What if all shares are read only, except the cache disk. Throughout the course of the day, files would be written to cache as usual. At some predetermined time (say 3am), unRAID kills the network connection, sets the shares to writeable, and the mover does its thing. Once the transfer is complete, the shares are changed back to read only, and the network connection is restored. This would safeguard data on the server in the event of another PC on the network becoming infected.
  6. Maybe a dumb question, but when you have a server worth more than my house, why not just spring for a dedicated VM machine? Seems a little risky to shoot for an all-in-one solution at this scale.
  7. I had posted a semi-related question about passing dockers through a specific interface, but didn't get much interest. Based on my other searches through the forums, it seems like a fair amount of people would like one of these solutions or the other, but it doesn't appear to be happening anytime soon.
  8. Anyone have any recommendations or do's/dont's on selecting a SSD for a cache drive? I'm interested in the new Force LE from Corsair, as the price is right. Is it worth the extra $200 for a Samsung PRO?
  9. Is there a way to force a docker (or VM, but a docker is more convenient) to only use a specific NIC? This way, I can have my router force that traffic through a VPN tunnel based on the IP of that NIC. I'm on 6.1.9 right now, but could upgrade to 6.2 beta 23 if the new networking tools would help. Thanks!
  10. So after I've had a few issues with CouchPotato, I decided to just point Firefox at privoxy to find files manually. However, when I perform a DNS leak test, it fails. I've set network.dns.disablePrefetch;true and network.proxy.socks_remote_dns;true in Firefox. Any other suggestions? Also, how I would test rtorrent to make sure it's also not subject to a dns leak? Thanks!
  11. Anyone have any thoughts? I was reading some bug issues in CP from 2014 that related to large torrent sizes, however the first torrent I tried (which worked) was significantly larger than the ones that are failing. i have had performance issues with rtorrent for a while, particularly with timeouts when adding torrents, i think i may of just cracked it with some performance tweaks to php, can you download the latest rtorrent image and give it a whirl, hopefully it should be more stable. That seems to have done it. The only other thing I was wondering was if there's an easy way to pipe CP through the VPN as well. I need to do some more reading up on Couchpotato, so that I can get it tailored to my environment better. It's so robust, I have a lot of learning to do. Thanks for your help!
  12. So I have rTorrent and CouchPotato (both binhex versions) up and running, but have having some weird problems. The frist two downloads I queued with CP worked fine, but any I add after that give me this error in the CP logs: Anyone have any thoughts? I was reading some bug issues in CP from 2014 that related to large torrent sizes, however the first torrent I tried (which worked) was significantly larger than the ones that are failing.
  13. Well that helped some--I had missed the advanced button. However, it's still not generating a .ovpn file. I'm guessing a permissions issue, but I'll have to take another swing at it tomorrow. Thanks.
  14. I'm having a real hard time with this docker. I have PIA, but at no point am I ever asked to provide my credentials. The web UI doesn't load (connection refused), and I'm unable to copy my .ovpn file into the openvpn folder. Any guidance?
  15. Why would it? The Storinator isn't a Lime Tech product...
  16. Here's an 8x SATA mini ITX: http://asrockrack.com/general/productdetail.asp?Model=C236%20WSI#Specifications
  17. The first motherboard you linked doesn't have 8 sata ports, and the second isn't even Mini ITX... And micro atx cases can be smaller than itx cases. I just gave 2 random good mobos for reference. I love running this style of micro atx antec case (the model varies from year to year) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129054 "Randim good mobos" doesn't do anyone any good, especially when they're incomparable with the build. And in no way shape or form is that micro ATX case smaller than a PC-Q25.

  19. Usually when it comes to 4-pin molex or sata power, all cables are created equal. My molex extension actually came from Radio Shack, because I wanted to get up and running. Monoprice is fine, so is this example from Amazon: C2G / Cables To Go 27397 Internal Power Extension Cable for 5-1/4 Inch Connector (14 Inch) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0002J26JM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awd_AqQixbXJXP16G For the molex, you only need a few inches, so any length will work. Sata is about the same.
  20. So here's the deal on the Silverstone PSU. In my personal experience, the only PSU I've ever had fail was a Silverstone ST65F-G. It failed at just over a year, with no warning. I was going to RMA it, however as I started digging through reviews, I found that many others had this same experience. In fact, this same issue seemed to be cropping up on several different models of Silverstone PSU. This was enough to give me second thoughts about purchasing Silverstone PSU's since then. When I started this PC-Q25 build, I decided to give Silverstone the benefit of the doubt and buy their 450 watt SFX PSU. When I received it, I just wasn't pleased with the build quality. It seemed...cheap. With that knowledge and my previous bad experience, I just couldn't chance it, and returned the unit. I ended up buying a Corsaid SF450, and I have to say, I like it much better over the Silverstone. Build quality is excellent, and all the testing I've seen reported looks excellent. I've had no issues, and highly recommend it. There are a few gotchas with the Corsair. One it has flat cables, which when mixed with the 24-pin location on that particular motherboard, can restrict airflow. I haven't noticed any ill effects, but it's something to keep any eye on, especially if your climate is very warm. Second, the cables are short. Real short. Plan on picking up one 4-pin molex extension to reach the backplane, and one sata extension for one of the lower drives. Third, it doesn't come with a ATX to SFX adapter. I purchased Silverstone's offset adapter rather than Corsairs centers adapter. Sorry that has so much ancidotal evidence, but I just get so uneasy every time I see the Silverstone PSU's recommended, especially now that there are beginning to be better alternatives. Maybe Silverstone fixed something, and all their PSU's are great. I hope so, but this is just one event to use as a data point. Edit: To your request for efficiency, low noise, and low heat, the SF450's fan has yet to spin up on me, and all the tests I've seen show it to be more efficient than the Silverstone.
  21. I just did a similar build, but haven't gotten around to posting. I went with the e3-1275 v5. The Crucial RAM is good, but at the time I had to order two separate 16GB sticks rather than a kit. Nothing wrong with that, but I paid about $25 more than that B&H price. I have a couple thoughts on your power supply choice, but I don't have the time to type that out right now. Let me get back to you a little later tonight.
  22. In your Google Images link, only the first two are applicable. Of those, the first is the aforementioned M25 component, and the second costs $40 USD.
  23. That first picture isn't the Q25, it's the M25. The bracket comes with that case, but based on the second picture, appears to fit the Q25. Hopefully they release it as a stand alone accessory.
  24. Has anyone gotten their hands on one of these yet? I have a Silverstone I'm ready to throw in a build, but I've actually had a Silverstone fail on me in the past, so I might return it and go with one of these if they turn out to be decent.
