Sorry for Bump, but will this ever be supported. If i have all my dockers and its storage on same ssd cache drive, i dont see reason why i need to run main array for docker to work, when main array is not touch in that use case

Maybe upgrade price is not fixed thing, but i still think that you need to allow old licenses to be upgraded, maybe not at the old price but at least under the old conditions. Someone may not need the 12 discs offered by the Pro right now, but if they do in a year or two need 8 disks now what. I know you say buy licence now but not all users have that money right now, and maybe not buy if thay not need it right now. Its your company and your software and you have right to do what you want no question ask. And one more question, why not count only data drives towards the limit and not include parity to that limit

No. Legacy upgrade pricing will be changing alongside the new license tiers. Why on one hand users that have Basic Plus and Pro Will have all future upgrades of software free per original lets say "promise" but on another hand per same "promise" will not get option to upgrade from lower tier licence for that upgrade price when you made original buy

Update, so i have recived my cooler master mwe 400 white psu, and..... well i'm not impressed by it. When you look at wolfgang's PSU list you can get impression that mwe 400 is as good as now discontinued corsair rm550x. But i'm experiencing different results. To be fair when i replaced my aging thermaltake toughpower 600w psu from 2008 i did manage to lower power consumption of my BKHD N100 board by like 10w. From 50 to like 40w when all my drives are spinning. But at idle i'm like i say NOT impressed. When all disks are spindown and all case fans disconnected, and only unraid usb and only my cache ssd running (that contain my dockers), with mwe i'm pulling 24W from wall, but when i tested my corsair rm850x from my main pc i manage to pull 18W from wall. (fan on corsair did not run on that low load but i dont think that this is main reason why corsair have lower power consumption) But also i must say that with my old thermaltake toughpower 600w psu from 2008 and with this board, i did have problems spinning down first drive in my array. So this was main reason why i needed new psu. Strange that this old psu works just fine in my old unraid setup just fine, all drives was able to be power down, maybe reason is that this thermaltake is atx 2.2 standard and maybe this new boards need newer standard like 2.52. All and all, the story goes, i'm pulling right now 30w from the wall with 3 case fans, all disks spindown and only one ssd working which is cache and dockers drive and cpu is only in C3 but this is do to jmb585 controller.

Maybe im stupid, but can someone explane to me why would anyone buy Starter or Unleashed licence type and then pay additional 1,2,3 years of upgrades when you can buy Lifetime (for how much who know) and then have same benefits like before. Pay once and use upgrades forewer

But when i try my rm850x from my main pc all works fine and i have lower power consumption, and since colermaster have similer efficiency like corsair ill buy coolermaster since price is below 50€

So maybe then ill need to see if i can automate all of that, so that when you run s3 command, unraid first stop array and then go to sleep. (to prevent for system starting parrity check if power is lost in s3 state)I have some old "C-Lion Blazer 1000 VA Vista" ups but i dont use it since it uses like 45W when battery is full, and its just ready on main power in its "inline" state without any load. So i think this i high. Maybe some newer stuff consume 10-20W i dont know?

Sorry for hijacked thread, but i have related question about s3 sleep and power outage. If my pc is in s3 state and power get lost, when power gets restored unraid start parrity check. Now since system was in s3 parrity must be good since server was not in use, can i stop parrity check when it start and expect that i can recover data if disk go bad before next full parrity check

Hi, so im corrently running my old amd desktop downgraded to Athlon II X2 260u with 4x1 GB of ram and i still have power hungry amd build from 2006 that in idle consume about 73w with all drives power down. I know, i know pc is old and i need to replace it with newer stuff, since when running 24/7 power consumption is importent. So i started to look for some used pc parts and i found 3 already made bundle one is: 88,00 EUR - ASUS Q170M-C + i3 6100 + 8GB DDR4 another: 90,00 EUR - Fujitsu D3441 + i3 6100 + 8GB DDR4 And last that is most expensive (but newer): 120,00 EUR - ASUS PRIME B360M-C + Pentium G5400 + 8GB DDR4 Can you recomend what to do, 6100 i can get with 6100T cpu also for same price,

This is just for update tvh epg database from file, but i need to automate download of epg file itself from web location once in a while to be able to keep up with epg changes. I manage to automate this using user scripts plugin and i made simple wget script like that "wget -O /mnt/cache/appdata/tvheadend/data/epg.xml http://user:password@ip:9981/xmltv" I'm pulling epg from another tvh server

Thanks, i did saw it, but i did not manage to get it to work like that, but then i just downloaded epg file with wget and place it to /mnt/cache/appdata/tvheadend/data folder and it works, now i just to need to automate download from web to specific folder

Hi, so im corrently using my old amd pc from 2008 with athlon 260u cpu (when i used my pc for desktop same motherboard hosted phenom cpu) and im corrently idle with 6 docker image running and 3 drives spun down in range of about 73w, im thinking that this is way much. So im thinking about replacment in order to lower power consumption, so will this board be able to go to this c8 state, and lower idle power consumption to the max, https://a.aliexpress.com/_m0SiHqM Later in when i fill all six sata ports ill use pcie slot to expand storage with my 8 port lsi hba card

I have unplug usb drive and open this go file in config folder on another computer and added this to the end of file "ethtool -s eth0 wol g". But after reboot of unraid still my adapter have d argument instad of g only when i like i say manualy ssh to server and i enter above command d is change to g and then i can wol and sleep all day long until next reboot Edit: I manage to fix my problem (or so it seems) by editing file directly on server by ssh-ing to /boot/config/ and using nano to edit go file and add ethtool line but not to the end of file but before "/usr/local/sbin/emhttp &". Before i edited file on another computer using notepad and adding ethtool line to end of file, but when i booted unraid that last line get deleted.

Hello, i'm trying to decide if ill use omv or unraid for my old pc as nas, but i have major problem with unraid and wol after sleep. If i use gui and press sleep button pc go to sleep but i cant get it to start after that sending magic packet. Searching the forum I realized that the problem is with the "g" argument that is not active with the network adapter, my question is how to change it, so that allways there, is there a file that can be modified to enable this. Using this commands over ssh works ethtool -s eth0 wol g echo -n mem > /sys/power/state But not when i use gui button
