Adding Tailscale to AIOStreams docker - Tailscale never gets added
I have successfully enabled Tailscale for my NZBDav and UsenetStreamer containers and they're working so I have others working..... However, when I enable "Tailscale" when creating the AIOStreams docker tailscale is never added at all. In "Tailscale show advanced settings" I have: Tailscale Extra Parameters: --auth-key=tskey-auth-<mykey> Tailscale State Directory: /app/data/tailscale_state (also tried /app/data/.tailscale_state) Path is: App Data: /mnt/user/appdata/aiostreams with Container Path as: /app/data In the docker log AIOStreams boots up and loads but I never see the usual tailscale download at all. I've tried adding: --user 0:0 to the "Extra Parameters" field but same issue. root has ownership of the tailscale_state folder (it was initially set to nobody and didn't work either). Any ideas? Is the AIOStreams docker image just to slimline to enable this?

Setting up Tailscale but UX has changed since Spaceinvader1 video?
I'm working on the step to enable the easy one click access to docker WebUI's which doesn;t work by default since it directs to local LAN instead of Tailscale's IP when you're off the local LAN. In the Spaceinvader1 video at 15.30 it shows UX that no longer exists in the latest Tailscale plug in. How do I do this bit now? Did it move to the "advertised routes" section of the main Tailscale plug in settings page and then has to be approved on the tailscale admin console web page at tailscale.com?

Thanks this helps and it looks like my router (Unfi) enables hairpin NAT by default. (https://help.ui.com/hc/en-us/articles/30202160464023-Hairpin-NAT-in-UniFi) However doesn't this mean I still need to enable port forwarding on the router to send port 80 and 443 to the unRAID server (NGIX Proxy Manager docker) however what I want is to ensure that there is ZERO external access to the unRAID server (and it dockers) and ONLY allow internal SSL access to the unRAID (and its dockers). For example I want to ensure that an HTTPS call from my Android TV on the home LAN uses HTTPS to a valid SSL cert on the unRAID docker for that service on the home LAN. No external access at all to unraid or the docker. I'm thinking I need to set up local CNAMES on my Unfi router DNS server (and/or a local Adguard DNS server) to point https://myservice.mydomain.org to 192.168.1.6 and then on the android TV the service call is to https://myservice.mydomain.org:9995 and the local DNS points that to 192.168.1.6:9995 What I don't understand is how I get a wild card SSL for mydomain.org. I tried registering for a free Duck DNS domain but could NOT get NGIX Proxy Manager to issue a SSL cert for it.

Thanks for this it looks like it might fix a use case I have but a couple of questions. For the "Domains" configuration. Do I need to have a local DNS server running such that I can direct a request for (to use your example in the image above) send requests to unraid.mydomain.com to 192.168.1.6 which is where my unRAID box is? I don't have a domain set up and don't really want to get one could I just add a DNS entry for say "tower.local" to 192.168.1.6 in adguard home or something? I'd rather avoid running a local DNS server completely though if I don't have to? Secondly I understand this gets me a SSL cert to do https://unraid.mydomain.com on its default port 80.... Would this cert also then be working for dockers running so that say a docker on 192.168.1.6:8000 could also use https://unraid.mydomain.com:8000?

Thanks - Yes I don't have a AA donator key.... Confirming that works. I stopped the CloudflareBypassForScraping docker and then edited the template to completely remove the "CLOUDFLARE_PROXY_URL" variable while keeping the "USE_CF_BYPASS" to "true" and looks like its still doing the bypass and working! 2025-08-01 12:43:57,439 - backend - INFO - backend.py:159 - Starting download loop 2025-08-01 12:45:09,069 - downloader - INFO - downloader.py:44 - GET: https://annas-archive.org/search?index=&page=1&display=table&acc=aa_download&acc=external_download&ext=epub&ext=mobi&ext=azw3&ext=fb2&ext=djvu&ext=cbz&ext=cbr&q=The%20Housemaid&lang=en 2025-08-01 12:45:18,076 - downloader - INFO - downloader.py:44 - GET: https://annas-archive.org/md5/3b6f9c0f1665c4ba6e3214d43c37e1de 2025-08-01 12:45:20,105 - backend - INFO - backend.py:68 - Book queued: The Housemaid: An absolutely addictive psychological thriller with a jaw-dropping twist 2025-08-01 12:45:22,526 - downloader - INFO - downloader.py:44 - GET: https://annas-archive.org/slow_download/3b6f9c0f1665c4ba6e3214d43c37e1de/1/2 2025-08-01 12:45:22,758 - downloader - WARNING - downloader.py:64 - 403 detected for URL: https://annas-archive.org/slow_download/3b6f9c0f1665c4ba6e3214d43c37e1de/1/2. Love this combo of dockers! One question on the CF Solver though. It seems to be a huge image (over 1GB) and constantly chews up almost 1% CPU even when nothing is using it while consuming over 500MB RAM. In comparison the regular "flaresolverr" docker only seems to use 250MB RAM and 0% CPU at idle. Can I use the flaresolverr docker with CWA or is there a way to reduce the size and idle CPU usage of the CF solver docker from CWA?

DiskSpeed, hdd/ssd benchmarking (unRAID 6+), version 2.10.10
Thanks would be handy as I want to bench mark the drives in the enclosure and then when it's connected off a usb 3.2 hub instead of directly to the PC.

DiskSpeed, hdd/ssd benchmarking (unRAID 6+), version 2.10.10
Does this not benchmark disks attached to a USB dock? When I run it all controllers are detected (SATA + USB) and all the (currently unassigned) drives are shown (Though the USB ones as USB sticks) but when I try to bench mark I get a blank screen with "abort benchmarking" as the only UX on screen (aside from title on top of screen) - Any ideas?

After upgrade to 7 I am not getting offered app/docker container updates?
Oh there was a brand new update to community add ons today (went from 2025.01.15b to 2025.01.16 just now) and suddenly action centre offered a new SABNZB update. No others offered though as yet and Jellyfin definitely has had one available after my Sunday upgrade to 7.
-
After upgrade to 7 I am not getting offered app/docker container updates?
The very latest version of 6. Prior to 7.0 being formally released. I've only been using it less than a year and it's been updated every time to the latest version of 6.x... so whatever the latest 6.x rev was on Sunday it was on that prior to the upgrade and receiving updates to app fine up until Sunday when I moved to the release of 7.0
-
After upgrade to 7 I am not getting offered app/docker container updates?
Sorry I don't understand this reply? I installed these apps via UNraid 6. And now after upgrade to 7.0 the OS no longer offers the updates. They used to appear when I clicked on "apps" and waited a moment or two for updates to be found. Now nothing under 7.0. others must be seeing this as these are common apps for UNraid.
-
After upgrade to 7 I am not getting offered app/docker container updates?
Usually I would estimate I get offered 1-2 updates per day. I have Home Assistant, Jellyfin, Flaresolvrr, Kavita, SabNZB, Plex, Unmanic, VideoDuplicateFinder all installed but zero updates offered since upgrade to 7.... Jellyfin (Linuxserver repo) in apps shows that Jan 13th as last update so would have thought I would have seen that one been offered... Likewise SabNZB (Linuxserver repo) shows a Jan 16th update....

Remove a newly added array drive - and also how to move an SSD out of the array.
Magic that worked. I was massively overthinking it. However feels like the language and guidance on how to do this could be much clearer in the online docs. I was super concerned the "tools, new config" would break stuff once I reassigned the drives to their new places... However once I put the SSD into its new pool (cache) I was able to start array and all is good I just have the SSD and all my spinning HDD's are now unassigned. Exactly what I wanted. Thanks for the patience and helping on this dumb question!
-
Remove a newly added array drive - and also how to move an SSD out of the array.
Really I just want the SSD to be out of the array (it was the only drive in the array on 6.x) so that it can now be the cache/pool drive (and contain the docker /appdata folder full time)... I can then worry about adding disks to an array later on now that 7.x doesn't require an array at all. So ideally - after I do this I just want the SSD to keep working as it is today for my docker images but not in an array so that TRIM etc works and it acts as the base pool/cache drive for the future as I do add drives to an array. The spinning HHD I did add to the array with the SSD prior I just want to go back into the "unasssigned drives" list for now.... Thanks so much for the guidance here!!
-
Remove a newly added array drive - and also how to move an SSD out of the array.
When you say that when I stop the now two disk (SSD + HDD) array and then select select "Tools, New Config" do I leave "preserve current assignments" as none and then go in to what are now two unassigned drives and assign the SSD to be a "new" pool/cache drive and the HDD to what will be a new array? The wording of that sounds to me like I would lose all my dockers (/appdata etc on the SSD) and the drives would all become unassigned?
-
Remove a newly added array drive - and also how to move an SSD out of the array.
Feel like I'm missing something obvious here but I literally cannot figure it out. I'm on unRAID 7. I have a miniPC with a single SSD drive. It was an upgrade from 6.x and so that SSD is the "array" - Its the only drive. I was given some instructions that in order to remove my SSD from the array I had to add another drive to the array and then use the unbalanced tool to move (scatter) the folders on the SSD (/appdata, /doman etc etc) to the new array drive then do some "tool/new config" option to then free the SSD from the array then use unbalanced to put the folders back onto the SSD once I mark it as a "pool/cache" drive. Ignoring the fact that unbalanced shows me all sorts of warnings: Owner70052 file(s)/folder(s) with an owner other than 'nobody' Group70050 file(s)/folder(s) with a group other than 'users' Folder permissions26174 folder(s) with a permission other than 'drwxrwxrwx' File permissions70049 files(s) with a permission other than '-rw-rw-rw-' or '-r--r--r--' You can find more details about which files have issues in the log file (/var/log/unbalanced.log). At this point, you can transfer the folders/files if you want, but be advised that it can cause errors in the operation. You are suggested to install the Fix Common Problems plugin, then run the Docker Safe New Permissions command. No idea if I can even proceed with that step.... But more fundamentally.... I've added a spinning HDD to the array. As a test I thought I would remove it from the array. Absolutely cannot figure out HOW to do that. I would hace epxected a simple "remove from array" button. There isn't even any file or folders on the drive as it was just added. I've stopped the array and then moved that slot 2 to "no device" but then I cannot start the array as "a drive is missing".... I've tried "tools/new config" but that seems scary as I don't want to lose anything so I kept "preseve all" ticked. But no way to remove drive like that as far as I can tell. What am I missing? This should not be so elusive.

USB 4 drive dock - only one drive spins down?
Fixed this myself via an update to this post of mine.... turns out when you update the firmware you need a drive in each slot of the 4 bay dock AND then you need to flash the Jmicron controller for each slot of the dock to get it onto the latest firmware.... for me this was 1.73hardkernel firmware release and now I can spin up and down all the drives or individual drives successfully.... For anyone else with a jmicron 758 controller dock I'd recommend trying an update. Obviously there is risk here as these firmwares are not from the dock vendor but it worked for me on a cheap aliexpress 4 bay dock!

USB 4 drive dock - only one drive spins down?
Should add that with same dock attached to a Windows 11 PC all drives spin down after 10 mins with Windows HDD sleep setting set to 10 mins.

USB 4 drive dock - only one drive spins down?
I have a 4 drive USB dock connected to unRAID. Its not yet in use so these drives show up in "unassigned devices" and this issue happens if they are mounted or unmounted. No drives have any data on them and they're not in use at all. If I click on "Spin Down" one drive (dev 3) the first in the unassigned devices list spins down (green LED icon next to the dev number goes off) but all the other drives don't. Physically can feel the one drive is not spinning but the rest are. Any ideas on this one? Diag file attached. tower-diagnostics-20240416-1752.zip
