Hi, my server was working great, then i wanted to upgrade from 7.1 to 7.2 but the unraid connect plugin was stuck on pending. so i restarted the server and it stopped connecting to the network. i changed the cables and it's on a network where it has a static IP. i'm not sure if this is a hardware problem or on the software side. i think was able to start it up in GUI mode with a monitor plugged in and enabled wifi, which i was able to connect over the network just fine. foolishly i upgraded to 7.2 and then disabled the wifi to see if the upgrade might help the ethernet connection. unfortunately it didnt, and now, i can't turn it on in GUI mode because i get a NVIDIA not found in directory error. I attached diagnostics when it was connected to the network via wifi. Any help would be greatly appreciated. tower-diagnostics-20251124-1558.zip

Thanks for this suggestion. So I tried to start this process, I shut down my VM and then tried to disable VMs in VM Manager, when I click turn off VMs, it won't do it, it just refreshes and stays on.

I checked for updates of the plugins, and everything is up to date. I dont have tmux terminal manager. any other ideas?

same thing happened to me, I updated the plugin and dashboard went away, now I can't even see my disks. I uninstalled the plugin and my dashboard is back, but seeing the disks on the main page required a reboot.

I have an unraid set up that is on a network that requires login for the ethernet. is there a way for me to put in my login credentials to get it to connect?

Ok, so I don’t have to copy the config folder or anything right? The reason I did not was because the old flash wouldn’t load on the new machine but this new one would so I don’t know where the problem is. I don’t care about any of the plugins or dockers I had but just the data on the shares. Thanks so much.

Ok sorry for the stupid question, but I had an old unraid server, it worked great. I wanted to upgrade the motherboard and cpu and did that. but when I used the old flash drive it wouldn't boot up. so to test things out I created a new flash drive (with a trial version) and finally got things working. I saw that the old SanDisk drives aren't recommended so I decided to move my Key over to the new flash drive, but I didn't copy the config folder or anything. I plugged all the old drives (that have my data) in the same order as the old configuration. now if I turn on the array will it just detect my old shares by reading the data on the drives and rebuild parity or do I need to move more stuff over from the old flash drive to the new one?

Just to close this out. I think you are right, it was actually loading, but since it didnt show me the IP address i thought it was just stuck. However, I need the AST driver blacklisted to get it to show the progress all the way through.

how would I find out if it is just not outputting on the screen? plug it in directly to the IPMI? yes I did that

I’m so sorry, I meant I don’t know if the nvidia driver is installed, I did not do any thing like that. There is only 1 gpu and that hdmi cable is connected to the nvidia gpu, the only one in the machine

I don’t know, but I didn’t actively do that. How do i install the Nvidia driver without starting the OS? Thanks sorry for the ignorance.

I blacklisted all the drivers listed in the 6.10 release notes and now it gets stuck here. any help is greatly appreciated. I have an Nvidia 3090 GPU

I am having this problem now too. I have a thread ripper with a Nvidia 3090 gpu and the boot gets hung up on this. how do you blacklist a driver? do you think I need to do the same?

Thank you for your reply. Yes I did confirm I am on UEFI boot, and the folder is EFI (not EFI-). also fast boot is off. I've attached a screenshot of where it gets hung up. any advice is greatly appreciated. IMG_5872.heic

Hi, I just bought this motherboard the ASUS ws wrx80e-safe se wifi ii with a thread ripper CPU. what motherboard settings do you have? I can't get unraid to boot, it just stalls out. appreciate your help.

@JorgeB Additional thing, when I tried to delete my resilio-sync and just do a new install, I got this error (in the command execution box of the container install): docker: Error response from daemon: driver failed programming external connectivity on endpoint binhex-resilio-sync (7cdee1e0c80eec8d19376c0bdc99e2d08911e8092cf2587e954b6eccdfcc4461): Error starting userland proxy: listen tcp4 0.0.0.0:8888: bind: address already in use.

Thanks a lot. So I ended up deleting my docker and reinstalling all of them. It was a pain but everything was seemingly working until today, when I restarted my resiliosync it doesn't start and gives an execution error. The only thing I did today was use docker compose to install Jitsi. I don't know if this is the problem. I've posted the diagnostics.tower-diagnostics-20230707-2039.zip

I just upgraded from 6.11 to 6.12.2 and initially everything was working fine. I have a bunch of dockers I use and they were all working fine. I then decided to upgrade jitsi using docker compose, and it worked fine. after that I was trying to work on my wireguard which hasn't been working for a while and when I tried to stop the array it got stuck unmounting the shares. I had to shutdown the server manually and restart it, after doing that, half my dockers didnt work. they won't start. I tried to downgrade to 6.11, they still wouldn't work. I re-upgraded and thought maybe I'll just reinstall the dockers I have, so I deleted my docker image and used my old templates to reinstall the dockers. the dockers that weren't working before, still won't work (despite me deleting the folders in my apps and trying to do a fresh install). when I look at the server log I get all these docker entering disabled state errors. swag and Nextcloud give a ton of these errors: nginx: [emerg] no "events" section in configuration not sure where to go from here and I probably made things worse than better. I would appreciate any help.

Do you mind providing a more dumbed down version of the instructions? I'm having the same problem, I updated and have this error. Where is the repository where you got the files? What did you set the permissions to for those files? Then what do you mean that you upgraded it? upgraded the container, or went into the app and upgraded? did you have to revert back to an older version of the container first?
