What is wrong with this container these last few months? After every update almost I have to struggle with the conf file, fiddling with it so that I can log back in. Every time there is an update it's a pain.

I am stuck at the login page. BTW, at the same time Qbittorrent stopped working in bridge mode. It does work in host mode. But no login. Please help. (Transmission and Deluge are no match) Solved it using AI: Bypass Authentication (Whitelist) added to conf file manually

Yes, normal share, admin rights. You cannot modify a folder's date in Windows Explorer, only file's date.

I am using Total Commander on Windows 11 and trying to modify folder's date on Unraid and it fails. I checked everything I could think of about permissions and couldn't find anything. Any idea?

Hello, my docker engine fails to start. I suspect it has something to do with the fact that my Torrent docker was downloading an amount of data vastly superior to what my cache disk could handle, because at the same time the docker engine failed that cache disk got totally full. So after reboot, I decided to manually start the mover, to get all the downloaded data on my raid. It will take a long time I suppose, 1 Tb. What is my next step? My Unraid is crippled without the docker engine running my apps. UPDATE: As soon as I freed some space from the cash drive the docker engine started so I just want to know how I can prevent this from happening in the future

I never use Windows Explorer. I only use Total Commander. I checked with Explorer and you are right. So TC is overriding somehow and manages to perform a Shift-Delete on the server.

I am not sure I understand what you’re saying, but I will tell you how it goes in my environment. When I delete files on my server, the recycle bin plug-in put the files in the recycle bin as designed. If I shift delete files on my server, then the files don’t go to the recycle bin, they are deleted exactly as they would be on windows.

It seems I was very lucky. The directory I inadvertently shift-deleted is several tera worth. So Total Commander had to "calculate" the occupied space to delete. It seems I stopped the process fast enough. But this thing has to be prevented in the future. I added a suggestion in the Recycle Bin plugin.

Now this is interesting. So I went and checked my settings in Shares, and Recycle Bin and didn't find anything related to the share names. Where is this setting you are referring to?

Would you mind a suggestion? If it is possible I would recommend blocking the possibility to shift-delete files/folders from Windows or any other OS for that matter. Shift-delete defeats the Recycle Bin purpose. Many, I guess like me, have this habit of shift deleting. That is fine for a PC maybe, since in the worst case you could use tools to undelete the files, and that would be on one disk, mostly. But on a NAS, you never know which disks had those files. And even if you did know, running tools on a specific disk could be challenging.

Well, I have the recycle bin plugin installed, but shift-delete seems to override it. I don't know which disk had the files. If it is reflected in real time then I am done right?

I am looking for something simple, something that would allow to generate a link to a file and send that link to someone ready to access, without the need to install anything on the receiver part. Hello Before I read the whole thread and investigate, I have a simple question to determine if Nextcloud is what i need. My goal is to be able to select specific files, or folders within my main folder and share them in read only over the internet. Obviously I wish this to be totally secure on my end and very easy for the receiver, maybe under the form of a link to click, that's it. Is Nextcloud what i need? If so is there a very simple walkthrough to install it and get this result? (I tried and failed already)

I meant power outage, yes. The router is not in the vicinity of the UPS. I have many devices connected to the LAN and WiFi and they all recover from power outages with a connection to the internet. Unraid is the only thing that needs intervention.

Hello, Is there a tool/app/setting that will help my server recover from losing its ip address after a power surge? Each time there is a power surge the server remains working thanks to the UPS but when the LAN comes back alive it does not get its LAN address back. A fixed Ip is set on the server and also on the router using the MAC address. Nevertheless only disconnecting the Ethernet plug and reconnecting it and then resetting my router helps it recover the ip address. Thanks

Hello I vaguely remember that somehow it is possible to make an HDD sound a clicking noise for identification. I have an 18 HDD unraid server and need to replace a specific drive. As time went by the ID stickers I put on the sides just were blew off. How can I identify that specific drive without making a mess of my installation? Thank you

Now just to start my tests on the right foot, have a look a the the screenshot please. Should I use bridge or host mode? I tried to open both 51413 and 9091 ports on UTP and TCP, none worked. Hello, Is the My Server plugin interfering by any chance with the outside access to the server through open ports? It's weird. Transmission for example had an open listening port for years on my server. Then last I checked it has no access. Port is open in the router but the server seems blocking the access. Any idea?
