  1. Hey, I don't know if i'm missing something, but i've pasted https://raw.githubusercontent.com/petersm1/openvpn_server_x64/master/openvpn_server_x64.plg into the 'install plugins' tab of 6 beta12, and it seems to run a script, but after i click 'done' there is no visible icon / tab etc for openvpn on any page. The only difference i can see on the flash drive is the addition to 'expect-5.44.1.15-x86_64-2.txz' and 'tcl-8.6.1-x86_64-1.txz' into root/packages Am i doing something wrong? Rich
  2. Or even instruction on how to create one? Rich
  3. Bump! I have literary just read the same two threads and after just installing an SSD as my cache drive am wondering the same Rich
  4. Amazing work, thank you Any chance you'd consider Mkvtoolnix? Rich
  5. I do normally (PLEX, Sab, SB, CP, istat, Minecraft server), I was only running stock for 24 hours after upgrading, to check for problems. So i don't really wanna run the new betas, just incase they conflict.
  6. Memtest came back clear. If it is to do with the kernel in unRAID 5, can i just ignore it then? Or is it likely to cause damage / corruption? Or do i keep looking for another cause? Rich
  7. Hi All, As the subject suggests, i am seeing several mce: [Hardware Error]: Machine check events logged errors in my syslog. Not being very software savvy, I have searched the forums and have discovered that this error is being reported by the CPU but am unaware of a way to find out exactly what the error is. The error has appeared 16 times in the last 32 hours and to my knowledge, no operational problems have accrued with the server, e.g. all disks still accessible and GUI still running. So no reset needed. unRAID is currently running stock, with no plugins etc as i've recently upgraded from my below set up to an Asus Z87-K Mobo, Intel i7-4771 3.5GHz CPU and 8GB (4GBx2) Crucial Ballistix Smart Tracer RAM (BLT2CP4G3D1608DT2TXRGCEU). My question is, should i be worried about these errors? They don't seem to be causing any functional problems. If i should be trying to eliminate them, how do i go about trying to identify the cause? Thank you for your help, Rich syslog.txt
  8. Not 100% i guess, but i added 'sleep 50' before the command in the go script, to try and make Minecraft boot last. Do you think 50 seconds is too quick?
  9. only cache drive writes increasing? I wonder if not related to sync issue... but that one seems to increase on all disks...
  10. I'm getting higher than normal processor activity (jumping to 10-20% every other second) when the server is 'idling' and there seems to be higher than normal writes to my cache drive too... 10.695 after rebooting the server 27 mins ago and increasing by roughly 5 every 2-3 seconds (thats after a reboot and doing nothing else other than auto initialising PLEX, Sab, CP and SickBeard). I know its not a 'stock' test, but its something that defiantly wasn't happening with rc12, so i just wanted to mention it (its not causing me any visible problems). Rich
  11. The destinations within the script (please see 1st post) are definitely accurate (case included) because the script works when executed via telnet with the following command /mnt/cache/Minecraft/go I have run the executable command that you posted above, just to be sure, but still no go and as for java, i have the following 'Jre - Java 2 Platform Standard Edition Runtime Environment,' set to auto re-install via unmenu. I'm not sure if it could be something to do with the line of my script that actually starts the Minecraft server? nohup java -Xmx128M -Xms128M -jar minecraft_server.jar nogui & Could that be conflicting with something when trying to start from unRAIDs go script?
  12. Thanks for the quick reply Joe, but unfortunately neither of those worked Would that be because of my script?
  13. Hey, Noob question, so i apologise. I've set up a Minecraft server to run on unRAID and it seems to be working as it should. I have created a script (called 'go')... #!/bin/bash cd /mnt/cache/Minecraft/ nohup java -Xmx128M -Xms128M -jar minecraft_server.jar nogui & to start the server, which works perfectly. But i would like to be able to run the Minecraft 'go script' from unRAIDs 'go script', so i dont have to telnet in everytime i restart the server. I have tried putting... /mnt/cache/Minecraft./go into unRAIDs go script, but nothing happens and i still need to telnet into unRAID and start the Minecraft server with the following commands... cd /mnt/cache/Minecraft go I have to enter 'go' as a separate command in telnet, so i'm assuming thats the problem in putting it into the unRAID go script, as i entered it as one command. I dont know an alternative way to enter 'go' as a secondary command though? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you, Rich
  14. As suspected, a single corrupted share. I spent about 5 hours copying data, so i could delete the, then empty, share and continued with each share until the fault stopped. Eventually got to the right one.
  15. Well, I've checked the file systems and it came up ok. I've reformatted my usb drive and put a fresh copy of unRAID on (instead of just using a fresh go script) and same problem. Is it likely to be the shares then and if so, is there a way to diagnose / fix them?
  16. No I haven't, I'll do that next. If its not the OS then, could a share have become corrupted and be causing this? The fault is triggered when accessing a share.
  17. Does anyone know what the error in the syslig refers to? Is reinstalling the unRAID os likely to solve the problem? Thank you, Rich
  18. ZipsServer, did you manage to sort out your 'Transport endpoint is not connected (Other emhttp)' issue?
