  1. RDP-Calibre Update: Due to popular demand, I am adding a couple of new features, both of which are only for advanced docker users. Regular users need not worry about them, when they update, nothing will change for them. Below are the steps to enable these features: Custom Library Location: 1) First add a new mount point for the library location. Example: /path/to/library (host), /library (container) 2) Open the advanced view and add a new environment variable. Example: Name= LIBRARYINTERNALPATH Value= /library 3) When you fire up calibre the first time select your library location. Example: /library (If updating, change the location in settings) Url Prefix for reverse proxy 1) Open the advanced view and add a new environment variable. Example: Name= URLPREFIX Value= /calibre 2) To access the webserver, go to http://SERVERIP:YYYY/calibre
  2. I don't have any cameras set up right now so I can't test, but could one be symlinking to the other location? This is the file format on the HDD: When I open the individual files the structure and contents are identical. I checked it and those two folders are indeed one and the same. One is a symbolic link to the other. Do this test and you'll see. Create an empty text file in folder 1. Then navigate to the other and you'll see the same text file in there. Your files appear twice but they exist only in one place on your drive.

  4. I'm not the developer of plex requests, I only put together the docker for it. [emoji6] You should ping the actual devs on the Plex forums in the plex requests thread, or create a feature request on their github page
  5. Oh the jiffies. I was having that cpu stall issue a few months back. It happened 5 or 6 times over a 2 week period. It was annoying because the server would hard crash. I suspected it was Plex related, but wasn't sure. At the time I was on beta 5a, wasn't using docker, Plex was running in a xen ubuntu vm. I then updated to a more recent beta, moved Plex to docker and haven't had the issue since then. Here's my thread from back then: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=38119.0 Are you using xen by the way? And are you on the latest plexpass version? Because a bunch of people had that issue back then but i haven't seen any reports recently. I thought the underlying problem was somehow fixed either by an update to kernel, or software or by people stopping using xen, etc.
  6. All the config files are stored in the local app folder. Not sure which specific files hold the settings. I looked through the folders but they didn't jump at me. Perhaps you can ask on the Plex forums in the plexrequests thread. I only make sure that it installs and runs correctly in docker. I'm not too familiar with the inner workings of the app to be honest.
  7. The 'unWife' support group? With the amount of time I spend at the computer, she's threatened that she'll be an unWife soon lol I saw someone mention somewhere (may have been Reddit) that he pointed out to his wife that when he was sitting at his computer and messing around with his setup he wasn't out drinking, doing drugs or off with other women. She then never gave him any more hassle as it helped put it all in perspective... This post should be pinned [emoji14] I'll definitely use it next time
  8. Try a larger telnet window, it's very hard to read. Attached are screenshots showing my htop with max cpu set to 30% and BOINC settings
  9. It may be prudent to note in the OP which version of OE is being pulled (latest stable, latest beta/RC, legacy stable, user choice, etc.)...especially for those that are using a shared mysql database. Also, how are OE upgrades handled? Nice work! John The version number is indicated in the webgui before you download and create a VM, so don't think we need to mention that in the OP. For those curious, its just OE 6.0.0 beta 2 for right now. Upgrades are handled by downloading a new image file when we release it and then starting the VM. Same config folder used. Just fyi, there is an openelec beta 3 now, which is based on kodi isengard rc2
  10. For BOINC, I don't use cpuset-cpu's because it already manages the max cpu correctly. In BOINC menu (regular view), I go to "computing preferences" and set it to "use no more than 50% of the processor". Then when I go to unraid dashboard I see that my cpu is pegged at 50%. The advanced view BOINC menu computing preferences has another option for multiprocessor cpu usage but I don't use that. I believe docker has its own cpu management system and spreads the use to different cores. For instance in sabnzbd, the software is only supposed to use one processor core (with my settings), but when run in docker, it maxes out all cpu cores so I have to use cpuset-cpu's to limit it from taking over the whole system during unraring. BOINC on the other hand can limit "total cpu usage" so I never had the issue of BOINC hogging all system resources Is that not the case for you?
  11. You should be able to change the cpu utilization limits within boinc. I can
  12. Opinions are like a##holes. Everybody has one and they all stink [emoji14]
  13. Yeah, I spent a good many hours trying to get ventrilo to work, but kept getting that same error "cannot execute binary file: Exec format error"
  14. docker on unRaid does not support 32 bit libraries docker in general does not have support for 32 bit libraries, but some people were able to get them to work on certain base platforms by installing additional compatibility libraries. I have not been able to get any 32 bit app to work in docker on unRaid
  15. When you go to my.jdownloader.org and login, do you see your server listed? If it's listed, when you click on it, do you see the web interface? If you do, click on the "Add links" button and add a url. Does it show up under the link collector tab? (For simplicity, you can try a youtube link)
  16. Change the host port to whatever you like
  17. You can ask gfjardim to add cron.php or another script to the container's cron, with the actual script residing in the config folder. That way it won't be lost and you can update the script. Or you can fork his repo and send a pull request. I'm afraid that's how docker containers work. The devs have to come up with clever ways to preserve every little thing users would like to change so the changes don't get lost. If you want to really customize the apps, you should either fork and create your own repo or you can run it in a vm. I personally just started using aws ec2 for owncloud. With the free tier, I get 30GB of storage (potentially more if you also use S3) for free for a whole year. Its uptime beats my server and I get better speeds. It works well so far for my startup with a handful of employees. If I need more storage space in the future, I can easily add more as needed and it won't cost much.
  18. AFAIK a crt is a pem formatted file, so you can just rename it. Just rename your keys as server.pem and server.key. If you're using gfjardim's owncloud, he already made it easy for you to import your keys. Just drop them into the config folder (overwrite the ones in there) and restart the server. The container will copy the keys from /config into the correct location during start And as long as your mappings are correct, anything you put into your /config folder should persist through updates, reinstalls, etc.
  19. AmazonEcho bridge updated to release 0.2.0 If you grabbed an Echo on Prime day, you should check this out
  20. Nope. I use torrent and private trackers = no charge. SickRage allows you to automate the grabbing of tv shows, with lots of PT search providers already built-in. I wish I had invites to private trackers but I don't at this time. If I did I might use torrents exclusively although I'm absolutely in love with Sonarr so far so I'd be hard to give that up. However I could always just use that exclusively with torrents if I wanted to. For CP users: How have you all streamlined your qualities for your automatic movie searches? I'm getting a decent amount of bad quality rips being downloaded as 1080p versions even though they are clearly rips or even worse with korean subs. Just wondering how best to eliminate the false positives. In settings, under search/categories, I created an HD category and put in the following keywords: Preferred: SPARKS, AMIABLE, GECKOS, ROVERS, SECTOR7, CiNEFiLE, Felony, CROSSBOW, BLOW, DAA, SiNNERS, STRATOS, TOPCAT, PSYCHD, VeDeTT, RUSTED Required: bluray Ignored: german, dutch, french, truefrench, danish, swedish, spanish, italian, korean, dubbed, swesub, korsub, dksubs, vain, hdtv, rc, r5, r5bd, chd, nlsubs, multi, web, WEB, WEB&DL, web&dl, RBG, RARBG I subscribe to a few rss releases that post HD scene releases and add the movie to cp after it's released (on Android I check the rss feeds through inoreader about once or twice a day, if I see a movie I want, I click on the imdb link in the rss post, it opens the couch potato mobile app, select the HD category and send it to cp). 99% of the time I end up with the quality scene release Thank you very much for this. By your response I take it you only download full bluray rips? I prefer rips in the 5-10GB range personally as full blurays don't seem to be as readily available. Oh no, I only download 720p rips. That's what I have the "quality" set to. The bluray keyword appears in all scene releases where the source is bluray

  22. Do you know for a fact that the IP addresses won't change? Most people's ISP's use dynamic external IP addresses so you'd have to update that file everytime someone's IP address changes or they won't be able to access your server. Your best bet is to create these rules using alias'/hostnames (setup with dynamic dns) so that you don't have to make any changes when one of your users' IP address changes. In most cases the people who would be accessing the server will be on the same class c network which I can account for with .htaccess. I just need to know where to create the .htaccess file that would be read by plexrequests. Not sure. You can probably look into how meteor serves htaccess. Or you can ask in the Plex requests forum (once the new forum goes up) or github
  23. Thanks for the tips. I actually have ddwrt running on another router on the network (backup vpn server). I'll look into turning that into the dns server
  24. I am really confused about this hostname business. I have a TP-Link router that is also the DHCP server. When I am on the local lan, from a windows machine, I can connect to tower with no problems. When I click on Network, it finds and lists all the computers with their hostnames. When I am on openvpn, the network displays only the machine I am on, and nothing else. I cannot reach any other machines using their hostnames. But I can reach them through their IP. (Interestingly, in windows command prompt, if I ping 192.168.1.XX for unRaid, it successfully pings AND displays its hostname TOWER) In openvpn server settings, I have it set to use NAT, enabled access to all private subnets, etc. If I set the DNS server to just my router IP, DNS doesn't resolve at all. If I set it to Google, it works. Either way, local hostnames don't resolve. Now the real interesting part, my TP-Link router software has a diagnostic tool, where it can ping and tracert. Neither works with hostnames, but they do with IPs. So the question is, is my router not acting as a DNS server, but only the DHCP server? Perhaps it forwards all DNS requests directly to the DNS provider set in its settings (google in my case)? If it is forwarding all requests to the outside, then how come on the LAN, all computers are reachable via their hostnames? Thanks
