sorry for the late reply. It got quite late over here. i tried connecting to it via my smartphone (wifi off) and it did not work... today after a few hours of sleep everything seems to be just fine and running. V>ery strange, but i will not complain

i checked for open ports with http://canyouseeme.org/ and for 443 i get an open port message. i checked for pings with https://ping.eu/ping/ the packages get lost, but the ip seems to be right. Also my VPN connction works just fine...

does not seem like it, port 443 is open as far as i can see.

well i recently moved and now i have a new ISP, router and so on. I managed to get almost everything working, exept letsencryt/ nginx. all my reverse proxys seem to be down, and i can't reach anything via my public domain. I went through the site-configs and changed the ip adresses to the new one, but i have no idea what else i need to do I get only "Site can't be reached" messages, so it seems like nothing is working. Ports are open. Any ideas?

Well the cpu is dirt cheap but there are a lot of dual socket motherboards out there that fit it. So you could just grab a second one and a motherboard an build a decent system. i have dual 5640s and 96GB of Ram and my server seems to be running fine. it really depends on how much you would pay for a second 5660 and a dual socket motherboard

Well yesterday i have redone some of the cabling in my server and also unscrewed the cpu fans. They where blowing the hot air onto the HHDs. Now they should blow the hot air out of the back of the case. I have also switched my HDD Settings in my BIOS from IDE to AHCI. And i have activated and now deactivated "remote management" on my supermicro x8dti-f. Also i reinstalled a Nvidia GT 710. This GPU was part of my system until my recent drive upgrades. now i have put it back in. I am listing all those things because between the rebuilding and now the server has stopped working without any notice. I have rebooted and grabbed the diagnostics, then restarted the system. Well this beauty is actually running for a few months now, but i had a few problems during a recent HDD upgrade so i used this time of case opening and recableing to finally get some sort of cable management going. The server is manly used as storage NAS and media server for me at home and while traveling for work. Also i use this to learn more about networking, containers, VMs and everything else revolving around it and it really helped me to grow in my day to day job. At the time i initially built this, i was living in a one room appartment with the server standing around 2m next so my bed. So keeping it as quiet as possible was a huge deal. Just tried to use this docker to use https://play.spotify.com but there seems to be a problem with DRM/ Google Wiedevine. Both are enabled, but it seems like spotfy wont recognize that Any idea how to fix that?

ok....just a question. Is there any problem with IR mode if i can see all drives? For the last 9 hours i tried to flash the card but with 0 success. Problem is/ seems to be: I only have a company locked macBook. So i can not really install anything useful on here to create a FreeDOS usb stick. The other laptop that i have is an ancient eeepc netbook, that only runs ubuntu 17.04, this version is EOL and won't let me install anything useful either. I tried installing Debian on there but every time i try to run UNetbootin i get a warning saying i can only run the program as root. If i try to start the program as su from the Terminal i get some errors about BadAccess and the UNetbootin window stays grey. Or well... it seems like i get the FreeDOS stick to work. I can boot from it and i get the Unetbootin boot prompt, where i can only select default. After that i get a freedos boot loader, asking me if i want to install freedos to a disk, or start the live cd (multiple options here) No matter what i choose i get some error about no cd drive beeing found and i get a command prompt "A:" only instaed of all the files i copied onto the stick, there are only two folders, "Drivers" and "freedos" and i dont seem to be able to do anything One reason for having a unRAID server is having Ubuntu and Windows VMs to do stuff i can't do on my macbook

Ok, here I am again the Dell h310 just arrived and I swapped it in my server. all drives seem to be recognized, but they got new names. so unRAID now does not recognize one of my data and my cache drives. is this normal? I guess since it is only one data drive I can rebuild it. But since it’s the 8TB drive it will take ages. i think the hba is already in it mode since all drives are recognized. But maybe I am wrong? Anny suggestions?

Not quite sure here, but the Marvell controller is the PCIe SATA card? That would be my best guess, now too. The Sata Card has 2x2 internal ports and it seem like the left one of those ports drops the HDDs. Have everything running on the right two ports now and everything seems fine. Any suggestions for a replacement SATA/ HBA card? will look for new cables, soon

Well i had some time to kill and wanted a new/ different look for my web gui. I aimed for some adaption of Material Design, since i like the colorful but clean look. No need to edit any unRAID files or anything. Oh, sorry missed some parts there. EDIT: Yes, i ran a short and an extended smart test. I saw the errors in the unRAID Main Tab, next to read and write. Diagnostics are here now , should have thought about them in the first post. Yes i shucked the drives, and i used a molex adapter to power them because WD does some trickery with the 3,3V lane. Well, since i needed to upgrade my storage and the local hardware store had a good deal on WD my Books (160€) i bought one and replaced my parity drive... During the build process the array was taken offline due to some errors (around 300) on the new drive. I tried a couple of things to fix the problem (taking out my VM GPU and my USB3.0 PCIe card) and ultimately re-wired all my drives. Also the smart report (https://pastebin.com/YwyWg7hx) looked fine to me and i spun the array up again. Everything re-build fine and seems to be running smooth now. So after that i bought a second 8TB my Book and added that one to the array...pre-cleared it and all. Again the drive failed after a few hours, with around 1000 Errors. Again, the smart logs look fine to me (https://pastebin.com/J0S7hZLY) My personal guess is, it's the SATA data cables. i have a few old ones, without clips and maybe they don't work right. I ordered some new ones and will try to start the array again. My most pressing questions are, do i miss something in the smart logs? I am still within a timeframe to return the drives and would do if they are a risk. Ans also might there be an other problem that i could look into? Ok, so i migrated from the official Plex docker to this one, since all the other binhex dockers run so smooth ;) Everything is working quite well and my transcoding problem that i had with the official docker is gone now. But it seems like i can not sync anything since i moved to this docker. I can tell my iPhone to sync something and it will just display a spinning hourglass. Any ideas how to fix that?

you can just move the whole Plex Library folder from /appdata/binhex-plex to /appdata/binhex-plexpass Works for migrating to other plex dockers too

Well i have an ISP issued router: Fritz!Box 6490 Cable (germany) and i have a ton of Problems with port forwarding. The Port forwarding options are super strange, if i try to forward both ipv4 and ipv6 ports the ipv6 ports seem to target a different device in my network and Plex is totally unable to forward ports by itself, even thought i checkt every option that should allow it. Right now i am thinking about getting some dedicated pfSense hardware like the SG-1000 but i am not really sure how to set it all up. What i think i should do is: 1. connect the SG-1000 WAN Port with one of the Fritz!Box's LAN ports 2. configure the SG-1000 as static IP and exposed host inside the Fritz!Box's options 3. connect the SG-1000 LAN port to my unRAID Server 4. configure everything related to unRAID inside the SG-1000 Everything else in my Network could be connected directly to the Fritz!Box (sonos speaker, XBox, Laptops) and should work without any problems? Would that be about right or am i missing some crucial steps here? EDIT: Ok...i looked into the SG-1000 a bit more and it looks like i wont be happy about the speed it provides Looks like i have to take the pfSense VM route. But would the basic principles be the same as i lay them out?

well, installed it and it seems to be running quite well. One thing i would like to know, ist ift there is a fool proof way to integrate this with sonarr/ sabnzbd to convert everything after download and before import. As far as i see it i could let Sabnzbd sort finished files into the watch folder and have sonarr watch the output folder. But i am not sure if this is the best way to do ist and before i screw around with my setup i wanted to ask how you solve this
