What size case are you using?

Ok - two weird questions 1. What's the proper way to stop something that's being encoded? 2. Any way to delete the temporary folder that something was encoded but was stopped but the folder still remains and now I have no admin access to delete?

Hi Lev! I've actually been using Unraid since 2011. I understand the limitations of the super.dat file and all that. I was just curious what people are using hardware wise. My norcotek is only 20 bay but it feels like over kill to get a 45 bay or even a 36 bay but I also want to get to the max amount of drives instead of just replacing good/still working drives in a 20 bay case. *shrug* I did see your post on that and that's an interesting "workaround". You never thought of just saying like f-it and moving to freenas?

I'm curious what you fellow data hoarders with over 24 drives in one enclosure are doing? I know we're somewhat limited but there is unassigned devices!?! edited for more clarity - for those with large HD what type of hardware are you using. It used to be people were stuck w/ the 20/24 bay cases like me so what are you using to get up to the 30 drive limit? I'm not sure a future 36-bay case is worth it or what other people are using. LIke I'd love a 45 bay case but that seems like...overkill at this point.

Didn't work. I tried doing it manually again and says it doesn't have read/write access to that file folder.

Ok - so I've been to even do it manually and it says I don't have read/write access to the file folder but according to this (screenshot) below I do. Should I change the container path to the same as the host path?

Maybe I'm doing this wrong but this is my log and its definitely not pulling. What I did was create a folder under the completed called DE (DONE ENCODING) and TBE (TO BE ENCODED) original I know. Anyways it seemed like it wasn't pulling it because of permissions so using the add another path I added both of them again in the hopes that it creates the correct permissions. Well, the log below is what I got. I just don't want it to use the completed folder as I don't feel the need to re-encode EVERYTHING but only what I move (yeah, I get it defeats the purpose but I'm weird like that) Thoughts? I did set it in that section but its not putting it there. Weird. I'll keep trying

Ebay - I actually have a norcotek 24 bay but I've been looking at other ones. The Chenbro nr40700 is older and some pop up there. Search like JBOD enclosures. some take a bit of modding.

Maybe I'm just being simplistic but I would just rather be able to go over the 30 drive limit (unlimited hahaha). I love unraid and the ease of use and the fact that it lets you use random hard drives but the 30 drive limit is a bit of a bummer.

So - I'm seriously thinking that there's a setting I'm missing but maybe I'm going crazy. There's nothing being uploaded but I am getting downloads. Am I going crazy. What should I look to fix?

So I've done this and even added as a common script to run in the beginning of the array start but its still showing up in FCP...is that...weird?
