4. Have you tried leaving Windows 10 shut off?
5. I just saw this. It's late. I'll look at everything in the morning. Not sure if I can be helpful at all.
6. That board has onboard SAS which runs at SATA III speeds. With 2 SAS to SATA cables you’ll get 8 SATA III connections. There are also SATA II connections (6 I think), which are great for standard platter HDD’s. Overall, with IPMI, that’s a solid board. Keep in mind it is E-ATX, so it won’t fit in a standard ATX case. A Rosewill server case would be great. https://www.amazon.com/Rosewill-Rackmount-Computer-Pre-Installed-RSV-L4500/dp/B0091IZ1ZG/ref=sr_1_3?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1531370017&sr=1-3&keywords=Rosewill+server+case+l4500 Looks good. Double check that the PSU is duel EPS. Get some thermal paste (non-metallic), such as Arctic MX-4. Get some Arctic PWM PST case fans (80.mm and 120 mm) for that Rosewill server case, if you get it. https://www.amazon.com/ARCTIC-F12-PWM-PST-Technology/dp/B00NTUJTAK/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1531369784&sr=8-3&keywords=arctic+pwm+pst&dpID=41gF0%252B4TALL&preST=_SX300_QL70_&dpSrc=srch https://www.amazon.com/ARCTIC-F12-PWM-PST-Technology/dp/B00NTUJG62/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1531369784&sr=8-3&keywords=arctic%2Bpwm%2Bpst&dpID=41gF0%252B4TALL&preST=_SX300_QL70_&dpSrc=srch&th=1 Amazon sells them in 5-packs for cheap (see above). Don’t mix PWM (4 pin) fans with 3-pin fans on Supermicro boards. Get a couple SAS to SATA forward breakout cables and some SATA cables and you should be good. https://www.amazon.com/Cable-Matters-Internal-SFF-8087-Breakout/dp/B018YHS8BS/ref=sr_1_3?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1531370091&sr=1-3&keywords=SAS%2Bto%2BSATA%2Bforward%2Bbreakout%2Bcables&th=1 https://www.amazon.com/CableCreation-5-Pack-18-inch-Female-Locking/dp/B01IBA3ITK/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1531370430&sr=1-1&keywords=cablecreation%2Bsata%2Biii&dpID=41apn1rwEUL&preST=_SY300_QL70_&dpSrc=srch&th=1 You’ll want to price shop. 7. I have used the Pre-clear plugin with no problems in 6.5.2 and 6.5.3. I have precleared 2 disks simultaneously with no issues. I prefer preclearing my disks manually. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
8. I cannot see your screenshots adequately on my phone. Is your intent to have a mirrored cache pool? If so it looks like you answered your question. Use Firefox and add the 2nd cache disk. Or is there something else going on? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
9. Perhaps enable event logging. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
10. No problem. Sometimes when you're so into how unRAID all works, it's easy to forget that a "simple" thing isn't so simple to someone just starting out. Keep at it. It's so worth it.
11. Go to the Docker tab. Find the Binhex-Krusader in the Dockers list. Click on it (see picture below) and select "Edit". The Binhex-Krusader Docker edit screen pops up. Go down the list until you see the /mnt/disks/ for the container path for unassigned. Click the "Edit" button to the right of it. The details pop-up for the unassigned devices paths. Go down the list to "Access Mode" and change that to "RW/Slave" and then save.
12. These are used, pulled from a working server. I bought 4 sticks for my unRAID server and 4 extras to build a second unRAID backup box. I decided not to build the second box. I ran Memtest for three consecutive days and then used them in my server for a week, before switching them out for the second set of four to test them also. Asking $50 plus actual shipping charges (USPS, UPS, FedEx). Shipping to actual Paypal verified address only. Accepts Paypal. Shipping to USA and Canada only.
13. Yes. Those would work. Though, that is $25 Canadian per stick. At first I thought it was for a lot of 16 sticks at that price, but in the description it says price is per stick. So at that price, I think you could do better on the price. I have four extras that I'm going to sell. I'll probably price them at $50 for all four, plus shipping.
14. This is what is shown in the manual. Only x8. The manual shows the use of single rank, dual rank, and quad rank. Quad rank limits the speed down to 1066Mhz or 800Mhz, depending on the number of DIMM's used. So you would want to stick with single or dual rank to get 1333Mhz speeds. But only "x8" is compatible with this board.
15. I have this server. It works great. Funny thing is that I decided to build another server and the whole time I've been thinking about just keeping this one. The processor is good. I was going to suggest searching for an x3460 to see if the prices are about $8-$10 less. But I did a quick search myself and was seeing prices similar, so going with the x3470 makes sense. As for RAM, you must use 2rx8 memory for DDR3 ECC REG with this board. If you are not set on 8GB modules, I would recommend getting 4x4GB and filling up the slots. The cost would be more affordable.
16. Reboot into Memtest and run it for at least 24 hours. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
17. You might also try navigating the disk using Krusader, if you want a GUI instead of command line.
18. I'm using a Seasonic 650w Focus Plus Gold. I would use a PSU wattage calculator, such as this one. You don't have to use the Seasonic calculator. They'll all give very similar results. I just maxed out the number of drives, RAM, etc. to get a high number.
19. My system has 16GB of DDR3-1333 and with running PLEX (3 streams), Pihole, and a handful of other dockers, I only use about 15-25% of RAM. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
20. itimpi is correct. You should change your split level, so that the top level directory gets split to disks 2 and 3, since disks 1 and 4 are full. Try changing to "Automatically split any directory as required." Using "Automatically split any directory as required" could end up putting parts of the same media folder on more than one disk. This can be corrected. Then run mover. Or you can count how far in from the main directory your media files are and change the setting to that Nth. And then run mover. Either should work. Another option would be to navigate to disks 2 and 3, creating "Media" folders on each of them. Though I would just try the step above.
21. Did you reboot your server? Also, have you seen this?
22. What did you change on this server two days ago?
23. The seller linked below had them for $99.99. You could message them to find out whether they anticipate carrying more. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Supermicro-X8DT6-F-Rev-2-00-Dual-Xeon-Socket-LGA1366-E-ATX-Motherboard/282838274234?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649
