I had to reinstall Handbrake due to....reasons. I'm running up against Handbrake attempting to re-convert my entire watch folder. Handbrake tracks the completed conversion in the file "successful_conversions" Due to the reinstall or whatever I did the file was wiped out. I want to add the media files that were already converted to the file but there appears to be a hash or some many-character-string added to the end of the file name. It appears to be required after I performed a test. Any insight into 1) How to cludge the successful_conversions file to skip certain files and/or 2) Can a random string of character suffice the "hash" that is added. Example below First is a handbrake converted file and the second is my attempt to override it. Which was not successful. Of course as soon as I post this I find something. Does this look right to but in "Automatic Video Converter: Custom HandBrake Arguments:" -6, --mixdown stereo also if I wanted to ensure eng track was used (sometimes french is prioritized) would this work? "--audio-lang-list eng" and if it would how do I place both in the Custom arguments... just one after the other separated by a space or do they need to be delimited in some fashion. Thanks!

Hello all I have Handbrake installed in docker and set to automatically convert new files added to media. Works perfectly except I'm dealing with low dialog in the conversions when playing on an android head unit. I figure I need to for either stereo or mono conversion. I don't see in the setting where to that, but assume its handled in the custom arguments section. I have not found a list of custom arguments or how to intuit. Anyone know either where to find those or what they are for stereo down-sampling (assuming that's the right word). Thank you

Okay Here's the situation. I will have a NAS at a remote location as a backup NAS for my main Unraid server. This will be at my retired mother's house. As her main tech support I want to be able to access her desktop Windows shared data. In my mind I will VPN to the remote unraid box. Figure I'd need a Windows VM. I would want to bring up the VM and then browse her networked Windows machines to be able to move things like pictures of our kids to her pictures folder or vic versa. All with permission of course I don't want to have to run anything special on her desktop like a VNC. She's in another state so dealing with keeping up with dynamic IP changes, etc would be a hassle in my mind. Being on her network already with my configured Unraid NAS I assume network shares (windows) would stay available even with IP changes. Is this doable? Am I making it too complicated? Am I on the right track with a windows VM on the remote NAS? Thank you

Docker services are failing to start. Nothing but that is shown in the docker tab.

I think it might be plex that is taking up all the space. didn't realize all the data was being stored on the flash drive. Do i need to delete all the docker images reinstall and make sure I point Plex to a share

Hi Just checked my dashboard and noticed that docker was out of memory. The Log was at 100% and Docker utilization was at 100%. I restarted server (it had been almost 90 days) and the Log cleared but the docker still was at 100%. Also docker then failed to start. Was looking through FAQ and was going to check mapping, but docker isn't starting to be able to check I've attached my diagnostics. Any help would be appreciated. I'm not savy with linux and its actually been a awhile since i've messed with my unraid set up (it was working so well) that I've forgotten most of what I learned. Hello all, I'm try to advance my unraid set up and use it for cool things I'm working on POE surveillance and using a few tablets around the house as monitors for the surveillance montages. I'd like to add a few more things to those tablets, like uraid stats, sab downloads, or what ever else could be useful to have monitored. I guess I'm asking are there any dockers, apps, plug ins or anything else available to manage these types of monitors so they can be customized and presented on a tablet. What makes me hope this is possible is I realized you can create custom web pages using the urls of POE cameras that are simple with no control. Being able to grab just the images of certain monitors (processor, ram, etc) and fill a tablet screen would be the idea. Hope that made sense. Thanks

Does Unraid come with a web server built in as default? I think it must because the web gui and docker UIs all seem to suggest. Use case. I have a few IP camera's set up with ZoneMinder docker. I've created a custom montage for use with tablets. I've tested the html on my PC as such (file:///D:/Documents/montage.html) but now want to test on a tablet with out dropping the html file to the tablet. I want to be able to go to (10.0.0.200/montage.html) or some such path. Attached the simple montage.html file in case its helpful. THANKS! montage.html

Hello all, So I'm setting up some security cameras to run off my unraid box. I've installed the Zoneminder docker and have it up and running. Got a few questions that I'm hoping are either easy to answer or if folks can point out some good resources to read up on. Thanks ahead of time. When I begin recording evens is it best to get a surveillance HD from WD, map to it own share and use that for recordings. If so should I bypass cache or maybe even use a dedicated cache for surveillance? As this is running on unraid I can access the webui any where on my lan, but I'm hoping to set up maybe an old tablet as a monitor in the kitchen (and/or bedroom) and have a constant feed of the monitors available. Is there a method that doesn't require being logged into Zoneminder, maybe a remote client or something that can utilized to minimize the UI and just provide the necessary function one would want on a simple monitor. The default ZoneMinder skins are well very defaulty....is there a repository or resource available for skins that look...well...cool? Anyone running these have suggestion on good resolutions and bitrates that provide clear pictures but don't suck up HD space for recorded events Any other useful resources, hacks, or suggestions on how to best set up, utilize and/or have fun with home surveillance? I treat my unraid work as a hobby. I want the added security of course but I also enjoy playing around with features, hacks and other tweaks so I'll take any and all info. Really appreciate it. So I confirmed folders are correct, tried changing some of the folder names to be see if it triggered anything, forced a manual sync, nothing sees to trigger a move/organize. Anyone else have any similar issues with a fresh install? Thanks.

Thanks for the suggestion, but it didn't seem to impact. I tried a manual update pointing to the same folder. dstanley, thanks, that makes sense, but before I mess with it, as the only mismatch seems to possibly be downloads/Downloads... Doesn't the docker take the path from the setting section in the docker. So the container path is lowercase, and I have lower case in Mylar settings, likewise with /comics. Also, the comics path seems to work as mylar is creating folders for added comics and the logs show it is finding the path to downloaded comics, jut not triggering the moves from download/completed/comics to /comics. Okay I'm back with real question for Mylar. I have not been able to get Mylar to organize downloads. Current settings Docker: Downloads -> /mnt/user/Downloads/ Comics -> /mnt/user/comics/ Mylar WebUI First time using Mylar. I have not tried to import any comics. I've used the "This Week" list to add and to one-off. When I add a new series a folder is created in my /comics directory. Sab runs and downloads into /downloads/completed/comics/"issue name". The comic is NOT moved to /comics. I've included my log. Its pretty large after I turned Debuging on. mylar.log I forced folder monitoring under Activity/Jobs. The log shows its finding the comics, categorizing and doing some pretty cool analysis, but does appear to try to move to /comics/ I don't really see any errors but I am overwhelmed by the log. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

I realize I sent the wrong logs. I fixed the issue once I removed the docker and deleted the appdata. Sorry to both you all.

Hello, I installed mylar, noticed the default port is the same as my sab port. Changed it to 9009 in the docker page. But I can't load the webui. I get a "site can't be reached" error in chrome. Any ideas?

Tried updating as mentioned above. Cycles through, restarted binhex-plexpass but version still shows as 1.13 in General section of Plex. Didn't change. Edit: Okay I'm dense. I read 1.13 as 1.1.3....Firestick was just hiccuping I guess. Still working through it.

Hello all, So I built my box, installed a few drives start array, started moving some data over and noticed errors. The data I moved was copied so it is not needed. Here the current set of drives... 1TB data drive (throwing errors), 2TB data drive and a 2TB Parity. I bought 2 4TB Reds and now wish to install and I'm confused because the swap procedures and most questions deal with existing data. I just want to install the new drives and though I could slide them in, go to Main and map everything the way I want it. When I do this though unRAID complains regarding the parity drive not there, wrong drives in disks, etc. Ultimate questions. Is it safe to just install the drives, map the drives to the disks I desires and start the array. There is no data that needs to be kept on the existing array. Here's the new mapping: Parity - New 4TB Data1 - New 4TB Data2 - 2TB (old parity drive) Data3 - 2TB (mapped currently mapped to Disk1) Retire - 1TB (drive that errors - currently mapped to Disk2) Thank you for any help.

I'm having the hardest time settling on a case. I'm looking for something that is similar to the clean lines of an NZXT case, like the S340VRT (my current gaming case) or the H500i. I love the tempered glass, clear view of the inside and would absolutely get another one of these for my NAS if not for wanting to have the ability to hot-swap HDDs and maybe even SSDs. So basically a case that looks like an NZXT but with 3, 4 preferable (3 for HDDs, and 1 for SSD hot swap) 5.25 inch front accessible bays. Anyone have any suggestions in the mid tower range, I'd go full tower if need be. I'd say my budget is mid range, but honestly I haven't found any examples that fit my desires to even guess what it would cost. Thank you.
