Solutions

  1. shaunmccloud's post in Drives connected to HBA not detected was marked as the answer   
    And the update disabled CSM mode, which my cross-flashed H310 needs.  Finally working again.
  2. shaunmccloud's post in Can't install plugin updates was marked as the answer   
    After rebooting my cable modem & router I was able to update plugins.  Not sure why that was the cause but oh well.
