  1. Have now installed the MariaDB container instead from CA which works fine - thanks for trying to help out. Cheers
  2. Hey man, thanks for the reply I don't think the connection between containers is the issue as the MySQL container exposes port 3306 and the PHP application seems to be able to connect to it (as it's the MySQL container throwing the error about authentication). If I stop the MySQL container then a different error occurs. I think sending that command line argument "--default-authentication-plugin=mysql_native_password" is the fix, I just can't work out where to put it! Cheers
  3. Hi, Have installed this mysql image from Community Apps, alongside chvb/docker-apache-php. Connecting to MySQL using PHP code fails with error Connection failed: Authentication plugin 'caching_sha2_password' cannot be loaded: /usr/lib/mysql/plugin/caching_sha2_password.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory Have frantically Googled this to no avail, solution seems to be adding "--default-authentication-plugin=mysql_native_password" to the command line on startup of the docker container, but I can't work out which box in the Docker Advanced View I need to put it in to make it work Any help much appreciated, thanks! :-)
  4. Thanks! Strangely enough I've just started preclear on another two of these drives and haven't seen any errors in the log whatsoever... So perhaps a dodgy cable or something on the first one, I'll have to check I'm lucky enough to have bought most of my drives from Amazon so at the first sniff of any SMART error - even UDMA CRC, I get on live chat and get the drive replaced! I spend so much at Amazon for both personal and business that they're always happy to oblige... All the best
  5. Just to follow up on this, the preclear finally finished (46 hours later). I ran an extended SMART report afterwards which reported no errors so I'm going ahead and using the disk
  6. Hi all, just starting a preclear on a new WD 8TB white label. As soon as I started it these errors started appearing in the log - it seems quite happy to continue though (currently 4% into the pre-read after 30 mins) Sep 01 18:34:06 preclear_disk_7SKY8XEW_18413: syslog: sd 5:0:6:0: [sdh] tag#1 UNKNOWN(0x2003) Result: hostbyte=0x0b driverbyte=0x00 Sep 01 18:34:06 preclear_disk_7SKY8XEW_18413: syslog: sd 5:0:6:0: [sdh] tag#1 CDB: opcode=0x88 88 00 00 00 00 00 23 84 9e 00 00 00 04 00 00 00 Sep 01 18:34:06 preclear_disk_7SKY8XEW_18413: syslog: print_req_error: I/O error, dev sdh, sector 595893760 Sep 01 18:34:06 preclear_disk_7SKY8XEW_18413: syslog: sd 5:0:6:0: [sdh] tag#2 UNKNOWN(0x2003) Result: hostbyte=0x0b driverbyte=0x00 Sep 01 18:34:06 preclear_disk_7SKY8XEW_18413: syslog: sd 5:0:6:0: [sdh] tag#2 CDB: opcode=0x88 88 00 00 00 00 00 23 84 a2 00 00 00 02 00 00 00 Sep 01 18:34:06 preclear_disk_7SKY8XEW_18413: syslog: print_req_error: I/O error, dev sdh, sector 595894784 This doesn't look good to me - anyone know if it's anything to worry about - couldn't find anything with a quick Google Thanks!
  7. Resurrecting this thread as I have a Supermicro X8DTE-F and I'm struggling to get fan control to work I also came across the same script and also hit a stumbling block when trying to find python-smbus. Did you have any joy with it in the end? 🙂
  8. Ahh well I feel quite stupid now - apologies! I'll give the Autofan plugin a try. I just installed it and hit DETECT and nothing happened, so will head over to the support thread there. Please follow me over if you're able to help! 🙂
  9. Hi all, Have installed this plugin onto my Unraid server running a SuperMicro X8DTE-F motherboard. When I hit DETECT nothing seems to happen. Is there anything special I need to do? Many thanks
  10. Hi, I've got a server running a Supermicro X8DTE-F with the IPMI plugin. Has anyone got fan control to work on this board? At the moment the system overheats when doing a couple of transcoding jobs (accompanied by a loud beep on the internal speaker), however the PWM fans stay spinning at low speed If anyone has any step by step directions to get it working they'd be much appreciated, thanks!
  11. OK. Not seeing any errors in the log any more - just this warning every so often: Buffer overrun at index 0, image 520, slow down capture, speed up analysis or increase ring buffer size Events still showing the same error
  12. OK, it was set to 50%, I've changed it to 25%. Will be in touch Cheers
  13. Hey man, yeah it's on Chrome Top bar of the UI says /dev/shm: 3% Appdata is at /mnt/user/appdata/Zoneminder which is setup to use a 500GB SSD cache drive Thanks for coming back so quickly
  14. Hi all, I've had ZM setup for a couple of months now with my four IP cameras (RTSP streams), but only now getting chance to have a play with it properly. Trying to look at events sometimes works, sometimes not (mostly not), I get the error "the video could not be loaded either because the server or network failed or because the format is not supported" when trying to view the video. Also seeing quite a lot of this sort of thing in the logs: Socket /var/run/zm/zms-962963s.sock does not exist. This file is created by zms, and since it does not exist, either zms did not run, or zms exited early. Please check your zms logs and ensure that CGI is enabled in apache and check that the PATH_ZMS is set correctly. Make sure that ZM is actually recording. If you are trying to view a live stream and the capture process (zmc) is not running then zms will exit. Please go to http://zoneminder.readthedocs.io/en/latest/faq.html#why-can-t-i-see-streamed-images-when-i-can-see-stills-in-the-zone-window-etc for more information. Viewing the live camera feed always works great. Any ideas? Thanks for your hard work in making this container and keeping the support going 🙂
  15. Yeah sorry I couldn't offer anything more useful than a "me too". I've given up on this for now and I'm trying out the ZoneMinder docker instead, but I will try Xeoma if/when it starts working again as I've heard good things about it
  16. OK - I made a bootable DOS USB stick and copied the IPMICFG application from the SuperMicro FTP server onto it. Ran ipmicfg -fd and now the web view is working fine, and the voltages etc are reporting the same as the BIOS. Many thanks for your help :)
  17. Hmm, I get login failed when using the web view.. using the same credentials I'm using for the app / desktop client
  18. Hi, if that's the same as "BMC Reset" in the IPMIView app then yes I've tried that
  19. Hi all, I've recently put together a server with a SuperMicro X8DTE-F. Using either the IPMI plugin or the SuperMicro IPMIView android app the voltages are crazy (CPU1 DIMM 1.1V instead of 1.5V, the +3.3V rail is showing 4.68V, +5V is 6.24V, +12V is 8.21V, VBAT is 5.52V...). The IPMI firmware version looks to be the most up to date version available from SuperMicro. When looking in the BIOS itself the voltages look much more sensible and close to what they should be, so imagine there is an issue with the IPMI itself? I know this isn't strictly IPMI plugin related but just curious if anyone here has seen similar behaviour? I did get this board from eBay so don't know if there's something I need to potentially reset? I had to reset the ADMIN password so I could login so it could be there are some settings messed up somewhere Many thanks Jim
