Edit: hereby also my diagnostics ^_^

Edit 2: I also get often this error in Mozilla Firefox: "The connection was reset" (see KB: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/websites-dont-load-troubleshoot-and-fix-errors)

  2. Got ya!

I needed to change the setting of Guest Access in the Win 10 Group Policies.

    As stated at: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4046019/guest-access-in-smb2-disabled-by-default-in-windows-10-and-windows-ser

    This is my solution:

    Quote

If you want to enable insecure guest access, you can configure the following Group Policy settings:

    Computer configuration\administrative templates\network\Lanman Workstation

    "Enable insecure guest logons"

Sounds like your router assigned some other device with the static IP you set for Unraid.

Can you log in to your router and ensure your Unraid's IP is reserved there so no other device gets it?

I have reassigned the local ip to the same address.
Now I also get this message:

What the h*ll is that for an error...?

  4.

    Hi all,

After resolving the previous issues, I have another problem with my unRAID server.

Since 2 days I almost cannot access my WebGUI via the static IP address and using Firefox and Chrome.

And when I open my windows 10 laptop and go to Network places and then to RIK-TOWER, or type in explorer \\RIK-TOWER, I get the error 0x70080035 (path not found)...

I was trying to re-enable the shares via WebGUI, but I cannot continue now because mostly I get a 404 while typing my tower's ip address in a browser.

I did not test it on a other pc, will do but I'm now not at home.

I hope you'll be able to help me and solve my problem(s)...

    Kind regards,

    Rik

PS. I already rebooted my laptop, tower, and my router/modem...

  5. Thank you @meep, your page is very interesting.

I am thinking about external placement of the other disks, and set them in a caddy on top of the tower.

And then lead the SATA cable from outside to inside via the PCIe expansion slots.

I only do not know where to buy external cases for 3,5" HDD's.
And I am not looking for the external HDD cases (those Chinese things that makes your 3,5" HDD an external drive... Too slow via USB).

  6. People, it is solved.

I've unpublished all the user shares.

Then I enabled all the disk shares, and set them to Private at SMB.

Now with an new user/pass I can get into the disk shares.

After that, I've disabled the disk shares, and re-enabled some user shares and set them to Export Yes and Security to Private.
I've set the SMB new user to Read/Write, and that worked!

So now I can re-access my tower.

Thanks all for the massive support!! 😁

  7. I've remembered that after installing GTA V and Visual Studio 2008 that the access to the tower stopped.

So I removed GTA V and Visual Studio xx and now I can get in with my Windows 10 PC.

Although I still cannot get in with my Windows 7 PC and Laptops...

So going to check what and if Visual Studio 2008 is installed on those pc's.
Until then, solutions and/or topics with possible solutions are very very welcome.

    Greetings!

EDIT: Frankly the installation (iso) of that game is also corrupted... 😯

And so I cannot replicate the install now, but here (link) they say it is VS 2008.

  8. Tried both.

    Restarted everything.

Nothing works... Maybe need to reinstall windows?

Tried an other pc with windows 8 installed, cannot access unRAID either...

    Also the stub error.

Edit: also win 7 PC can't access the unRAID server...

Still reading and trying (possible) solutions as described at:

  9. I tried to connect to two of the shares.

It worked via typing directly the full path into Windows Explorer as shown below.

So \\RIK-TOWER doesn't work; gives me the error "Stub...".
But \\RIK-TOWER\PC Games -- Software (one of the shares), does work without any password prompts or so....

  10. Hello everybody,

I have a problem with accessing my unRAID Tower.

When I type in windows explorer: \\RIK-TOWER (that is the SMB network name), and I get this error:

    Clipboard08.jpg.999cf97233156c5ec96d60987c3a4659.jpg

I have already searched for two day's on Google to resolve this.

My pc is with the Dutch language. In English is the name of the error: "The stub received bad data".

What I have already did is:

I really don't know how to get access to the tower with this client...

I hope you can help me out...

    Kind Regards,

    LoudRex

EDIT: By entering "set-smbserverconfiguration –enablesmb1protocol $true" I got also an error:

  11. Guys, I've ran on my disks a SMART extended self-test and have the txt files ready.
But I now have spend some hours reading SMART guides etc. but still find it hard to simply declare a disk as faulty or getting faulty.

Is it an option to upload it here or send it to someone to interpreter?

I have too less knowledge to say something about the results...

    Greetings, Rik

  12. Hello all,

So just before the new year, my Sharkoon T9 case is running out of 5.25" slots.
They are filled with 3TB disks and 4 in 3x5.25 docks from IcyDock.

I was thinking, it is possible to fabricate another case/tower that I can fill with to expand my unRAID.

It is a pity to just drop the 3TB disks and replace them...
So getting rid of them are no option.

Do you guys can help me with this question?

Many thanks and have a great new years eve!

  13. I've changed "Container Variable: LAN_NETWORK" from 192.168.1.0/24 to 192.168.2.0/24 as my LAN is always at 192.168.2.x.

But still cannot access the webUI, though I get something black while loading at port 8080...

After the black page, I get page not found, as always.

    Even port 2020, 6881, 6882 or 8080 doesn't work.

There isn't anything I need to add after the port number? As uTorrent standardly uses /gui or /webui after the address for the webUI...

    Here the new supervisord.log.

Maybe you can find something where I looked over...?

  14. I try now for over one hour to get access to my unRAID docker qBittorrent service, but with no luck.

I would like to run qBittorrent next to my rTorrent docker img.

The main problem is that if I want to access the qBittorrent GUI, Chrome gives me a Page not Found error....

But I still can access rTorrent and not rTorrent and qBittorrent...

Here an overview from my Docker-page, no conflicting ports, as the install should've failed...

Is it possible, at all, to run qBittorrent and rTorrent on one unRAID system?

Hope someone can help me if it is possible... Thanks!

  15. I have let my scheduled parity check ran last Saturday night, and again 5 parity errors.

I do not let the scheduled check overwrite the parity.

This is what I've got of errors from the last parity check.

One said here on the forums, the only good number at a parity check errors is zero, so that's why I am opening this topic.

Here the five errors from the log:

    Jul 24 03:17:43 RIK-TOWER kernel: md: recovery thread: P incorrect, sector=3519069768
    Jul 24 03:17:43 RIK-TOWER kernel: md: recovery thread: P incorrect, sector=3519069776
    Jul 24 03:17:43 RIK-TOWER kernel: md: recovery thread: P incorrect, sector=3519069784
    Jul 24 03:17:43 RIK-TOWER kernel: md: recovery thread: P incorrect, sector=3519069792
    Jul 24 03:17:43 RIK-TOWER kernel: md: recovery thread: P incorrect, sector=3519069800

I don't think they are harmful, but I'm not sure...

Also will attach full system diag.

    Thanks in advance,

    Rik
