Nimm einfach ein TB3 Kabel und vernetze die beiden... TB3 hat 32GB Networking inkludiert und funktioniert auch unter Linux/Unraid mit wenigen Anpassungen, Anleitung findest du hier im Forum

as stated in 6.10 RC1 thread... Thunderbolt works now with full functionality. Big thanks to Limetech to make this possible. Now i can get rid another PC witch was just running on a weekly Basis to make Backups... Using Unraid right now with a via Thunderbolt connected DIY BOX for Backups

dont know, will test it on weekend, now just copy a huge amount of Data across, 67TB ... so far so good

Basicly followed ur instructions, and amended the Udev rules for removable disks and network, thats it.

Hello world, Thunderbolt on Unraid finaly works Device per Unraid connected -- works ! ( This weekend i will add my DIY TB4 to SAS to 24x 12TB HDD) to make my first Backup, i will report here how it went ! TB3/4 Networking working with 20GB Speed between Unraid and Windows ! Well lets summarize the truth ... The "add on" Thunderbolt is wanted by just a few poeple who see the advantage of this technologie ( Hope more see the Light when USB4 ist final out) The developers of Unraid never realy looked into it, as the do not have the "Hardware" Now they finaly added the driver but didnt connect the neccesary routes to the core. I can understand the developers.. is it fair and legit ?... i doubt. How they can "promote" it but never ever tested it. We enduser are there testers, Who paid for things that are not ready 😞

where to get that summary ? I doubt the backup went through ... on a very large Folder ( ~ 22TB) The log what i got looks like this reate backup of /mnt/remotes/192.168.1.3_Pics Backup path has been set to /mnt/HDD/Pics/remotes/192.168.1.3_Pics Create full backup 20210508_062306 sending incremental file list 192.168.1.3_Pics/ 192.168.1.3_Pics/Treesize.xml 192.168.1.3_Pics/Untitled.dfd 192.168.1.3_Pics/duplicates.xml 192.168.1.3_Pics/-- new entries !/ 192.168.1.3_Pics/-- new entries !/2021-07.05 001.jpg 192.168.1.3_Pics/-- new entries !/2021-07.05 002.jpg .... ~ roughly 1TB copied over then suddenly stopped script stopped somewhere without error entry ? ** Update script makes Browser Tab Crash after thats script is closed ... where to dig out the error ?

Folgende Ausgangslage Unraid Server 1 = zu sicherende Daten Unraid Server 2 = mit 1x Unraid Pool bisher genutzt um neue Daten aus Unraid Server 1 zwischen zuspeichern und 1x ZFS Pool = Backup on Demand ... Gerne würde ich dieses tolle Plugin zum Backup benutzen Nur wie mache ich den ZFS pool für das Script sichtbar ? Über das UD Plugin kann ich zwar wunderbar über NFS im Server 1 das Remote Pool vom Server 2 mounten, nur leider bekomme ich den ZFS Pool nicht eingebunden. Ein "mount" wird mir zwar angeboten, wird aber nicht durchgeführt ...

I believe some Steps left out ... when i read here https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/v4.13/admin-guide/thunderbolt.html "If the security level reads as user or secure the connected device must be authorized by the user before PCIe tunnels are created (e.g the PCIe device appears). Each Thunderbolt device plugged in will appear in sysfs under /sys/bus/thunderbolt/devices. The device directory carries information that can be used to identify the particular device, including its name and UUID." But that folder "thunderbolt" does not exsist ...

Brand new Hardware (ASUS B550 Creatorwith Thunderbolt4 and USB 4) just changed Motherboard ,, no HDD or SSD attached 2. working Thunderbolt4 SSD (tested with Windows 10) 3. plugged in before Boot 4. see attached Diagnosic.zip tower-diagnostics-20210506-1646.zip

Hallo ! nachdem ich mich ein wenig eingelesen habe. möchte ich das "Viel Augen" Prinzip nutzen um meine Backup Lösung bewerten zu lassen Unraid Productive: (Hauptsächlich Fotos & Videos... arbeite als Unfallsachverständiger ....) Datenmenge in Gebrauch bisher ca. 60TB verteilt auf 6 eingerichtete Shares Werktäglich ca. 500GB mehr Daten werden / müssen 2 Jahre vorgehalten werden ... Sicherung per Script auf Unraid Backup (Wake on Lan) Anbindung per NFS Share via 10GBe Unraid Backup: bisher: Unraid Pool = 2 HDD (18TB als Parity und 1x 18TB "TEMP" für neue Daten) bisher Händisch neue Daten rüber kopiert, Plan: jetzt soll obiges Script modifiziert zwei Dinge erledigen 1. direkt auf das ZFS pool schreiben ; 2x60TB Raid Z2 ZFS Pool mit Snapshots (2x Daily) 2. die 2x 18TB in ein externes Gehäuse Terramaster (Platz für 4 HDD = 2x vorhanden) Anbindung per USB "C" für (wöchentliche) Backup wandern Gehäuse 1 = 3 Disk je ein Share Montag,Mittwoch, Freitag Gehäuse 2 = 3 Disk je ein Share Dienstag, Donnerstag, Samstag Ablauf: 1. Script erstellt täglich per NFS Vollsicherung um 7:00 und 19:00 Uhr auf ZFS Pool 2. ZFS Snapshots dann um 8:00 und um 20:00 Uhr Ist das ein schlüssiges Konzept oder habt ihr bessere Lösungsansätze ?

Hallo ! ich habe (solange noch kein Glasfaser im Haus ist ...) ein dualen Internet Zugang DSL = Fritzbox 7590 => Gateway 192.168.178.1 "normales Surfen" mit 6Mbit LTE = Fritzbox 68 LTE => Gateway 192.168.178.200 Home Office Unraid ist per DSL angebunden und hat 3 Net Ports Port 1 = DSL (2.5G) Port 2 = LTE (10G) Port 3 peer to Peer zum ZFS Backupserver Nun möchte ich aber bei einige Docker jeweils über LTE laufen lassen, scheiter aber an der Konfiguration, wo kann ich hinterlegen das z.B. der Firefox Docker über das Gateway des LTE Routers geht ?
