  1. It's just a testing docker I was playing with. So not a big deal. Once I have all the bugs figured out the are bugging me, I nuke it and start over with a fresh install. I was only worried about my domain. besides if you want my password for it. Its password. Lol.
  2. be sure you adding it to the correct file and location. appdata\nextcloud\www\nextcloud\config\config.php I added it just after the array section, $CONFIG = array ( 'memcache.local' => '\\OC\\Memcache\\APCu', 'datadirectory' => '/data', 'instanceid' => 'oclhll8iza6g', 'passwordsalt' => 'vzhofu9+O5n8h7gO4T+NM&*hhn78TlahPb', 'secret' => 'QZrs52ulA6RWatw8CvkUYgbkjulSTvLSJbrcVHaj7U8WW', 'trusted_domains' => array ( 0 => '10.1.10.230:2443', 1 => 'mysubdomain.ddns.net', ), 'trusted_proxies' => ['letsencrypt'], 'dbtype' => 'mysql', 'version' => '17.0.0.9', 'overwrite.cli.url' => 'mysubdomain.ddns.net', 'overwritehost' => 'mysubdomain.ddns.net', 'overwriteprotocol' => 'https', 'dbname' => 'nextcloud', 'dbhost' => '10.1.10.230:3306', 'dbport' => '', 'dbtableprefix' => 'oc_', 'mysql.utf8mb4' => true,
  3. Ok i see what I was doing wrong, I tried them but it did not work. I was putting one in the wrong file and the other i typed in wrong. LOL details details. Now one last thing. its slow, and I have read about many complaining about it. but did not see where anyone resolved it. Any ideas?
  4. Ok so I am using LetsEncrypt for a reverse proxy and got nextcloud up and running except I get 2 erros, I have searched and read way to much on the issue of "X-Frame-Options", and its oll old outdated info more than a year old, and the recommendations i found are not in the files to comment out. So i someone can help point me in the right direction for these 2 issues. The reverse proxy header configuration is incorrect, or you are accessing Nextcloud from a trusted proxy. If not, this is a security issue and can allow an attacker to spoof their IP address as visible to the Nextcloud. Further information can be found in the documentation. The "X-Frame-Options" HTTP header is not set to "SAMEORIGIN". This is a potential security or privacy risk, as it is recommended to adjust this setting accordingly. Also noticed this issue that I cant figure out: (set to Cron) Background jobs Last job execution ran 10 minutes ago. Something seems wrong
  5. Ok so I was going to setup nextcloud, but need to install letsencrypt first, but I am lost can someone help me. Also I have pihole installed and its already using port 443. So not sure how to set this up. also I have dns service from noip.com (Paid version)
  6. I was in the same boat a few months ago. Always was a windows guy and moved from a qnap to unraid. Reminds me of home server 2011 If your not going to run vm's and I was you I would go with an AMD ryzen 5 proccesor. Or if you ha e money to spend. A 7. Then a motherboard with 2 m.2.spota for the cache array and they would automatically be configure to a raid fir fault tolerance Then make sure it has enough pcie slots for your needs now and the future. If you want plex and need things transcode get a quattro p200. Best bang for the buck. If you dont want to worry about sata ports get an LSI card with an HP card for connecting drives. (See my post for links what I purchased) There are a few things to be aware of but if you use the links i posted that are what you need. The two card would be enought for you to use for some time. (I am using 17 drives in mine. With 2 as a parity setup. And have spare posts for expanding to another case if needed. The LSI card can handle up to 256 drives. The hp is an expansion card that hooks to the LSI card. If you do not have mini sas connection on a back plane and just sata connections they make breakout cables for that. Each card would need a pcie slot. The video card would also need one Ram 32gb more if you can afford it. But 32 seem to work great for me. Then drives and fans. Fans I would go with noctua quiet versions. Have them in mine and is more quiet than my work PC. (Odd for a server but it works) Fell free to hit me back up here for more question. Just about to go to bed. I will check back tomorrow.
  7. I am running an older AMD FX chip with no issues, unRaid seems to run fine on older hardware, not sure if you have a server room or if you're looking for something that is quiet. if you have a server room just pickup a supermicro server off ebay (24-36 bay) they usually come with everything and people see to have no issue with them. Otherwise get what's in your price range. I have seen many running a AMD Ryzen processor. on an micro atx board. It all comes down to your needs and what you might want to do in the future with it. Been using unraid now for a bit over a month with my actual build running for about 2 weeks now. Do you plan on using it for anything else? (Dockers like Plex, VM's, ect..) If just a backup file server you need very minimal specs. Here is a link you my setup if you want an idea of what I use. and it runs great. The bigest overkill is the GUP i have in there, but its what I had on hand. I just used my old gaming computer I had sitting around and not using. (Mostly PS4 now).
  8. Ok so i found speed disk docker and used it, its about half way through running but getting the same results across the board basically. here is a screen shot of the report if that helps.
  9. Short answer is that is has been stable and reliable, no issues yes. Now I can't tell you the speeds off hand as I am still adding drives into the array as I pulled them from my old qnap. Also what is the best way to test the Array Speeds? Also I might switch my HP card out for an intel that finally showed up, as it has only 6 ports (1 in - 5 out) as all my backplane needs is the 5 out ,and then use the HP in the future for an expansion case (Should I run out of space) as it has more outs than the intel. (Also the intel can be powered via a plugged in molex on the top of card or just use the riser card setup.)
  10. So over the years I have had different versions of a server, Win7, then Windows Home Server, then Windows Home Server 2011, then QNAP TS870Pro (Still using as offsite backup), then QNAP TVS871, and now unRaid When I had my Windows home server versions running I was using a Norco 4020 case with a bunch of 1Tb and 2TB drives, and then when Windows Home server was discontinued and I wanted something more robust and easy to use (Being a windows guy) So I got my QNAP TS870Pro and had it filed with 3TB drives. I soon ran out of space for my Plex server and needed more space. I could upgrade to larger 4-6TB drives at the time, but I also wanted 4k output as I dat them directly connected to my tv. So I upgraded to the QNAP TVS871 and filed it with 4TB drives, and then later upgraded to 8TB. Then earlier this year I was running low on space. (8TB left) so I decided to take the plunge and try out unraid. So I started testing it out and fell in love with it, as it reminded me of the Windows Home server days. I almost sold my old Norco 4020 case and glad I did not. I started to test fit items ant try to figure out how I wanted to set everything up. Fist issue was the old fan wall, (9x 80mm Fans) and it was noisy. Was going to buy the Norco 3x 120mm fan wall and replace it. But the PC I was going to put in the case was my old gaming PC and the processor was watercooled and was going to need to buy a new cooler or find a way to use the watercooler that I had to save money. Well after some tinkering and debating on what to do I decided to make my own fan wall that I could use the radiator with. Went to home depot and got a piece of sheet metal and got my dremal out and went to work. (Forgot to take pics) So i got it installed and running been using it for a few weeks now, got everything transferred and all seems to be working great. (Currently on my office floor) Specs: Norco 4020 Case (Old version - New version = 4220) Custom Fan wall for radiator w/ 3x 120mm Noctua Fans 2x 80mm Noctua case fans Asus Sabertooth 990FX R2.0 AMD FX-9590 Eight-Core @ 4.7 GHz 32 GB Ram Nvidia RTX 2070 1x 512GB NVME via PCIe Card (Could not fit 2 so no redundancy) - Cache Drive Kingston DataTraveler SE9 32GB USB2.0 Flash Drive (Boot Drive) Corsair HX1050 Power Supply LSI SAS 9211-8i 6Gb/s PCIe (IT-MODE) - ebay $59.99 HP 24/28 Bay Port 6Gb SAS SATA Expander Card (most current firmware) - ebay $42.95 Both card I have installed a Noctua 40x10mm fan on the heat sinks I did not have enough available PCIe slots for the HP expansion card, so knowing that it only needs power from the PCIE slot I purchased a Graphics Card Vertical Kickstand from amazon (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07JR3M6T4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and a Multi-Interface PCI-E Riser from amazon (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07C2TS4MV/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1) I did not use the magnetic base, (No magnets that close to my board for me), so I got some screws from Home Depot and screwed it from the bottom. Mini SAS cables from Monoprice to connect from Controller to Expander Card (1x) and expander card to backplane (5x) (https://www.monoprice.com/product?c_id=301&cp_id=30105&cs_id=3010503&p_id=8189&seq=1&format=2) 2x 8TB WD (Shucked Drives) - Parity Array (144TB) 1x 6TB WD (Shucked Drives) 3x 4TB WD (Shucked Drives) 12x 8TB WD (Shucked Drives) Off-site backup to QNAP TS870Pro (8x 4TB Drives) Only important files (Docs, Pics, Music) (Also Shucked drives) Goal is to store all DVD, Blu-Ray, 3D Blu-Ray, and 4K movies/TV I have. (Slowly getting there Ripping TV shows suck) Be able to stream / transcode Multi streams including 4K. Would love any and all feedback. (Good or bad) or questions. Just a shout out to the whole unRaid community for your help, whether it be old posts I found info from, or posts I made that you responded on. (Linux is all new to me) Thanks so much.
  11. I had issues getting this to work also, so I moved away from it and found dockers with VPN built in. There is also another option I was running for a bit and that was a VM just for vpn and pointed the dockers to that connection. Search for "Spaceinvader One" on youtube he has a lot of good videos. Here is the one on a vpn vm: But here is another option from him I just seen that might help also (Have not tried it).
  12. So are there any advantages of booting into UEFI. (If so what, and are there issues with the nvidia version of unraid running in uefi boot)
  13. Right now for the appdata folder we can have it in Cache drive or array but not both. It would be great if we could get a both or redundancy option with cache being the main read but write to both locations. Also if we could have the cache drive to store all the folders within all shares and even better would be the file info like name, extension, file size that would make browsing so much faster and it could make searching also very speedy.
  14. So I have two NICs (one on mb and one USB) is there a way to specify a particular docker to use one over the other? Under Settings/Network settings I have them both active, and in Settings\Docker I see there are two interface listed br0 & eth1, (and eth1 is missing the gateway but cant add it) then when avtivating docker and editing a docker container I do not see the option to select a different interface ethe1, just the original br0
  15. Also it would be great if there was a % bar and an eta for the backup and same for the verify and then the same for the restore.
  16. So for the appdata, I see there is the folder on the cache drive and also on the regular drives. do I need to back up both or just the cache drive? (appdatas is set to cache preferred)
  17. So right now I have only one NIC and do not have free pci ports to get a 10g, So I have heard of people being able to use 2 1G nics and combine them together to get faster speeds. Is this possible with unRaid? does my router or switch need to support something special? Just looking to get better speeds. (Was going to use a usb3 to nic adapter) Or other options?
  18. I thought I had it correct, but just ever so slightly off. Thanks that helped. Now if I can just figure out why Ombi will send to Raddar and not Sonarr (Even though the test connection is fine)
  19. So, I thought I had things working but now that I am checking things, they are not. I have the following dockers installed that are not playing correctly together Transmission Sonarr Radarr Ombi So first issue: Ombi to Sonarr I have ombi linked to Sonarr, the test button works, it pulls the folders and such no problem, but when I add a TV series to it, it never gets pushed to Sonarr. I also have it linked to Radarr for movies and that works perfect. No I am unsure what the issue is or how to track it down. Second issue Check download from Transmission in Sonarr/Radarr. I have Sonarr and Radarr linked to transmission and they are able to send the info to start the download, but once the download finishes, it never finds the files. I keep getting error in sonarr/radarr |Error|DownloadedEpisodesImportService|Import failed, path does not exist or is not accessible by Sonarr: /Media/Download/Temp/Torrent/completed/TV/tvshowfile.mkv. Ensure the path exists and the user running Sonarr has the correct permissions to access this file/folder Issue two I think it might be my folder setups, but it all looks correct to me. Here is my shared folder tree: \Media \Download \Movies \Temp \SABnzbd \Movies \TV \Temp Files \SABnzbd \Torrent \completed \Movies \TV \incompleted \TV Now here is the setup for Transmission Docker: Host path: /mnt/user/Media/Download/Temp/Torrent/ Download: Container Path: /mnt/user/Media/Download/Temp/Torrent/completed/ Host Path: \Media\Download\Temp\Torrent\completed\ Trans_Option_Download Dir: Key: TRANSMISSION_DOWNLOAD_DIR Value: /Media/Download/Temp/Torrent/completed/ When it downloads a file: Completed Downloads end up here: \Media\Download\Temp\Torrent\completed (\Movies or \TV) Incomplete downloads end up here: \Media\Download\Temp\Torrent\incomplete Sonarr docker is setup like so: (Radarr is similar but instead of /tv its /movies) Host Path: Container Path: /tv Host Path: /mnt/user/Media/Download/TV/ Host Path Container Path: /Media Host Path: /mnt/user/Media/ What am I missing?
  20. Sorry really new to unraid. how to I get the Diagnostics file?
  21. So I upgraded today, and I noticed my cpu load is over 50%-80%, when normally its under 10%-20%. Also still transfering files to my new unraid server, and notice the transfer rate is slower than before. I upgraded in hopes that the transfer rate was fixed with this release and it almost seems worse. (Was getting 40-60MB/s now its only 7-12MB/s) Going to keep running for now and see if anything changes.
  22. So I just noticed that after a reboot, the custom image icon disappears. Is there a way to make it stick. And if so how. Thanks!
  23. So I installed the plugin, and its set to on demand, but the driver still shows no driver. I have an AMD FX-9590, no overclock Update: Nevermind, I found I needed to change settings in the Bios. The no driver was throwing me off, should say check bios settings. but all good now. Thanks!
  24. So I am moving away from my QNAP setup to an unRaid setup. And I have got unRaid setup dockers running and now transfering files over to unRaid from my qnap. And I have noticed that when transferring heavy amount of files to unraid, everything seems to be slow to respond, but on my qnap I could transfer TB's of movies from my pc and this was never the issue. My Setup QNAP: Intel i5-4590S @ 3.00GHz (4 cores), 16GB ram, Raid6 (8x 8TB) Unraid: AMD FX-9590 @ 4.7GHz (8 cores), 32GB ram, Single Parity(for now) (8TB), then 4x 8TB, 1x 6TB, 3x 4TB, Nvidia RTX2070. I have about the same amount of dockers running in both. Is this just an issue with the way unRaid is, Heavy Transfers bog the system down? Would installing a raid Cache Drive nvme help (512GB)?
  25. ok that works for me, I can live with flat icons. Thanks
