jeffreywhunter
Unraid 6.9.2 installed and been running with no issues for a long time. WEBgui login not working, says "site can't be reached". Went to the console and the display showed gibberish. It was responsive, I could barely makeout some characters, but most of the characters looked like ASCII characters. Did a powerdown from the console (accepted the command). Turned PC off/on. Rebooted just fine to boot menu (readable english). Let it continue as normal. BZImage and BZRoot load 'ok'. Then as the status lines started to display, its all gibberish (see image). I then shutdown and turned off the pc (turned off power supply), then rebooted again. This time got past BZimage and BZRoot, displayed readable characters this time, but as the last few lines of the boot process showed, the display reset and changed the display mode (132 character mode - see screenshot). Still readable, but never seen that before either. Then I started the WebUI and the following displayed above the login (see third screenshot): Warning: syntax error, unexpected END_OF_LINE, expecting '=' in /boot/config/plugins/dynamix/dynamix.cfg on line 2 in /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix/include/Wrappers.php on line 22 Warning: array_replace_recursive(): Expected parameter 2 to be an array, bool given in /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix/include/Wrappers.php on line 22 Warning: extract() expects parameter 1 to be array, null given in /usr/local/emhttp/login.php on line 6 Warning: session_start(): Cannot start session when headers already sent in /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix/include/Translations.php on line 16 Warning: syntax error, unexpected END_OF_LINE, expecting '=' in /boot/config/plugins/dynamix/dynamix.cfg on line 2 in /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix/include/Wrappers.php on line 22 Warning: array_replace_recursive(): Expected parameter 2 to be an array, bool given in /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix/include/Wrappers.php on line 22 Warning: extract() expects parameter 1 to be array, null given in /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix/include/.login.php on line 238 My regular webui login was accepted, but then the same error message was displayed on the screen. Went back to the console and was able to login as normal. However nothing has been mounted. Went back to windows, the server shows up in the network neighborhood, but only the flash drive is shown. No shares are mounted. I've never seen this, searching the forum (what term should I use!) didn't find much. Not a clue what to do... Anyone ever seen something like this? Quote Link to comment
JonathanM
Bad RAM is one cause of garbled display, especially with iGPU. Download the latest version of memtest86 to a different USB and run a few passes and see what it looks like. Quote Link to comment
Johnny T
@jeffreywhunter did you get anywhere with this issue by any chance? I'm completely new to Unraid but just did my first reboot and have got the exact same errors as you (although I don't have 'garbled' text on the boot up window). I'm a bit stuck on how to correct this? Hoping I don't have to set everything up again and built the array etc etc......? Thanks Quote Link to comment
Squid
It would appear that you flash drive has major corruption on it. Does deleting everything from /config on the flash drive (except for the .key file and super.dat) fix things up? (Ideally, make a backup of it first) 1 Quote Link to comment

I do have a backup of my Unraid that I took through the GUI when it was working. I've ordered a Cruzer USB stick (32Gb USB 2.0) to try. Currently I'm just running a memtest on my RAM on the server to see if there are any issues but, when that completes, I'll try your suggestion. Thank you very much for your help. It's strange but, even though my Unraid seems corrupted, I can still connect to Home Assistant on the server?? I've currently only got Home Assistant on Unraid as I'm just very new to all this so just finding my way slowly with YouTube videos, web pages and help from kind people like yourself. Hopefully the OP will also be in a position to try your suggestion and report back as well. Thanks 🙂 Quote Link to comment

It just reset the name to Tower and removed my fixed IP address. However, I just copied my saved backup over the USB and it's working again. I didn't realise I could just copy the files directly on to the USB - I had presumed there was some fancy fomatting or 'hidden' files or something going on. So, I just need to Google transferring my UnRaid to a new USB stick now and I'll swap it over to my new Cruzer stick when it arrives tomorrow. Thanks for your help 🙂 Quote Link to comment

(Ideally, make a backup of it first) When I went to clean out the drive, I see 23 FSCKxxxx.rec files. Assume these are lost sectors? Evidenced by the fact that I can't actually copy/backup the flash drive. Edited August 29, 2022 by jeffreywhunter Quote Link to comment
