Today I'm suddenly kicked out of the game again, while it has been working the last few days.
Indeed seems to be a BattleEye issue. Very annoying.
Trying to check how to force using Easy Anticheat.

same here. invest in some other game that doesnt treat you like garbage for not being stereotypical gamer with one operating system.

    glad i could help. i was really bummed for a few days as well because i couldnt rust it up with the bros.

  • I tried to add this just to experiment, but for some reason it doesn't work in my case in windows 11. With this, smbios info should be read directly from the host, but HWiNFO64 reports ovmf or so

Good afternoon, is it still working? I'm trying to play "delta force" but it detects the virtual machine. I tried the comments in the post but it doesn't work.

Is it possible that I need to reinstall windows? I simply modified the xml and restarted the same machine.

I'm from the future. As of 7.0.1 this still works w/ EAC Fortnite. My woes are gone for now. Many thanks!

Thanks, AMD EPYC 7F32 running Win11 24h2 VM, solved EAC problem when running StarshipTroopers:Extermination

Damn, was really hoping this post would work for me but as of today anything with EAC is broken on my linux vm on unraid. Tried the 3 changes listed above and it's still throwing the "cannot play on a VM" bullshit.

Same issue for me. Can anyone confirm this is still working and/or what else we can try?

<smbios mode='host'/>

This one made me play Warhammer 40k Space Marine 2.

How to fix "This Application cannot run under a Virtual Machine"

So while searching everywhere to fix this error, I found something that fixes the error. The game for some reason thinks your PC is a VM if the name of your computer name starts with a "DESKTOP" within it's name. For example, DESKTOP-123ABC. To fix it, go to System -> Advanced settings -> Computer Name. Click "Change" and change the "DESKTOP" to something else, like Jamal-PC, etc, and then restart your computer and it will be fixed. If you have something different than "DESKTOP" header, then disable Hyper-V by going to "Programs and Features" and" Turn on and off Windows Features". Hope that helps. If only I can post this on the forums, but keeps getting cooldown.

I found out by accident that enabling the Virtual Machine Platform feature in Windows works as well. At least it did for Fortnite.

I am trying to follow this ideas in this post but can't get ARC Raiders to run. It was giving me the VM popup but after the modifications now just won't launch and crashes.

I wanted to try Arc Raiders as well and this is also a problem that I encounter.

I saw someone that was able to run it, but once he was in the game, it terminated his game. The anti-cheat software they use seems to be impossible to bypass. We need a real computer.
