June 8, 201214 yr Thanks, but do you mean replace for your plex-media-server-plugin-noarch-0-2.2-ds.plg?
June 8, 201214 yr Author Thanks, but do you mean replace for your plex-media-server-plugin-noarch-0-2.2-ds.plg? yes, delete it, and put the new PlexMediaServer-0.9.6.3.143-*-unRAID.txz to /boot/extra..... Thats all, there is all integrated.... no need for my *.plg file..... http://forums.plexapp.com/index.php/topic/42513-0963-for-unraid/
June 8, 201214 yr ok thanks, I see you've updated the first post of the plex forum, but your first post here is now out of date isn't it? Deleted all plex plg files and only seem to have one install now. Little confused, do files in /boot/extra get installed by unRaid automatically?
June 10, 201214 yr Well here we go... you will get a second icon when you install this new package if you don't reboot reason for this is because the 2 packages use a different install directory and so don't overwrite each other old PLG package installs -> Settings/plex New TGZ package installs -> Settings/plexmediaserver there is the reason ... if you deleted the plg file then next reboot you will have only one what annoys me very much is that the startup freezes ... in the webgui as well as in a unmenu start/stop user script had to kill awk and restart it so guys please check that ASAP.... for the rest database stayed intact and i guess it works ... kid is testing it now OH Yeah.. first time takes long to start ... guess he is checking permissions on your folders or so ? June 10, 201214 yr is it running now? can you join the plexchat ? I just joined plexchat. /etc/rc.d/rc.plexmediaserver restart It worked after I issued that command... I'll try to reboot again to see what happens. UPDATE: I don't know, but it appears to have fixed itself - I have rebooted several times and PMS starts as it should. Thanks!

June 11, 201214 yr Author Curious as to why hidden directories can no longer be used? That is a major hassle as I would now have to go reconfigure all my other plugins... I did't say you can't use it, its only an recommendation, if hidden folders are working for you, then use them. June 11, 201214 yr Curious as to why hidden directories can no longer be used? That is a major hassle as I would now have to go reconfigure all my other plugins... I did't say you can't use it, its only an recommendation, if hidden folders are working for you, then use them. But if someone has problems with plex, (has to restart it every X hours) thats normally the solution that works... Well isn't that not really a solution then? Shouldn't the solution be to figure out why your plugin doesn't work with hidden directories?
June 11, 201214 yr Author why should this have anything to do with my plugin? and we have invested many hours to find out, why this is happening, but we couldn't find anything. the problem is, that for some users hidden directories are working and for some they are not. on the other hand I could say, using hidden directories in unRAID "was" a trick to prevent the moverscript of moving the wrong files, and since there is a official solution for that you don't have to use this anymore?!
June 11, 201214 yr I'm not trying to be a dick, but in the same sense you could say other plugins can work with or without hidden directories and your's can't. I understand it's frustrating but the solution shouldn't be to change ones entire setup because your plugin has a bug you can't figure out. Your old plugin worked and the new one doesn't. There has to be some vector. This might be a 'for the time bring' solution but it shouldn't be a permanent one. Again, I'm not trying to be an asshole but can't you see where someone with that issue could be coming from when you tell them to change their whole setup? I know your plugin is provided "as is" but still.

My old plugin has't work either...... this problem exists since I started creating it, and even with Stokkses plugin there are reported issus with it.... so for the moment, live with it or don't thats your decision.

I know your plugin is provided "as is" but still. As SPIDI just mentioned your barking up the wrong tree. The plugin is simply a wrapper to make PMS easier to install in unRAID. You need to communicate with the PMS unRAID developer team.
