Issue with CONNECT Plugin: "Failed to Sync Flash Backup"

Featured Replies

Thanks Adam for the reply. As I mentioned in the support ticket also, I would encourage Lime Technology to be more proactive in communicating with us around planned works and outages / service degradations. For example, https://status.unraid.net doesn't mention the current service degradation with flash backups but it most definitely should.

  • Hi All,       I am sorry that you are still experiencing issues with Unraid Connect.   We're currently in the process of rolling out new Connect improvements that will so

At least for my setup, the problem appears to be on the server (Unraid) side. I inspected: /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix.my.servers/include/UpdateFlashBackup.php which is the script that is

Same issue here. Except for me, the inability to backup my flash just resulted in me having to completely rebuild my entire setup. I am not amused.

Worth pointing out that you always backup manually by clicking on the Boot drive on the Main tab, or automatically locally on the server at specified frequency by using the appdata backup plugin.

I have the same problem. :(

Adding my name to the proverbial hat. It would be beneficial to have more verbose error logs present on the console/anywhere but a diagnostic dump; to us uninformed users, we have no idea what is typical and what isn't.

Yeah, having to dig through the forums to find why basic functionality is broken is annoying.

New user here, assuming I'm lumped into this issue as well.

I was assuming it was my fault, so I'm interested to hear it is an issue for others.

Look forward to seeing a fix

This feature doesn't seem ready for prime time. Wish they just implemented an automated backup to our own cloud or network share instead.

You can do this via the appdata backup plugin.

I am having this issue on 6.12.5. Probably a plugin issue, not an OS one.

Same. Using latest version of both Unraid and the plugin

Unraid V6.12.4

Connect plugin V2023.09.08.0637

I updated to Unraid V6.12.6 earlier today (still on connect plugin 2023.09.08.0637 as still the latest version).

I no longer get the same errors that i screenshotted in my previous post.

It looked to be resolved. The server seemed to be connected in the management access options so i went to the Unraid connect dashboard and this showed that a flash backup was already available. this seemed a bit odd as I'd only just booted the server in the new 6.12.6 update and the timestamp that was showing in the dashboard for the backup was more or less the same as the time it booted up.

I tried to grab a copy of the new online flash backup to validate that it was working, but i kept getting an error.

I thought I would try logging out and back into Unraid Connect and now I can't log back in, even after a server reboot!!

Error: {"message":"Request failed with status code 403","data":"Oh noes! something doesn't seem right here"}

Removed screenshot

After upgrading to 6.12.6 with Unraid Connector version 2023.09.08.0637 I am now able to connect and perform a flash backup. I have yet to test the recovery.

@Jay3ird awesome. What happens when you click on the Generate backup button?

@Paul_G It generates just fine and I am able to download it.

Same version here and it works, after I upgraded from 6.12.5 to 6.12.6 and relogined

Thanks for the nudge @ktheebird 👍 I logged out/in and now it seems to work without issue!
