Disk 1 is not assigned and here is the output from running xfs_repair -v /dev/md1p1

Looks like disk1 is not recoverable, you can do another new config to re-enable it but will need to format it and restore its data from a backup.

Apparently seems like disk 1 is failing.  I will swap with a spare drive and the try to rebuild it.

rebuild it

You will need to do that from your backups.

Don't I just unassign disk 1 and replace with new drive?

Parity did not rebuild disk 1.

Because parity wasn't valid when disk1 dropped.

I am guessing that is why Plex isn't working either.  I had to install the missing docker and now it isn't opening the URL. Unraid ip address:32400.

Should I copy everything off and just rebuild from unRAID from scratch?

  • Community Expert

Looks like disk3 is also empty, except for small amount of lost+found. Don't remember if that is expected or not.

Unraid OS should be fine since it loads fresh from flash at each boot. Whatever data you have left should be OK too. Maybe just start over with docker. Maybe you lost some of appdata if some of it was on the array.

I started over with docker and it. Is not loading with IP address port 32400.

Should I also run a parity check?

When I started my array successfully, I seem to have lost all my system and docker on disk 1

Better if Docker/VM related shares (appdata, domains, system) are on a pool and not on the array. This will give better Docker/VM performance, and will allow array disks to spin down since these files are always open when Docker/VM Manager is enabled in Settings.

If you did New Config and rebuilt parity, then no point in doing a parity check. And parity check won't affect your data so it can't fix any docker problems you may have.

Do you have any VMs? What dockers do you run?

Disable Docker and VM Manager in Settings, then post new diagnostics.

I lost all my one and only VM. Which is not a big deal.  I lost all my dockers and looks like my plex db file is showing 0KB.

I only ran Pi-Hole and Plex dockers.

How can I clear my setup without losing my data on my disks.  I want to start over clean.

Thank you all for your help.

Go to the apps tab and search for factory reset.

Do I want to Keep Array and Pool assignments?

  • Community Expert

yes

  • Author

How long will the factory reset take for finish and will I just log back into unRAID?

  • Author

Factory reset did not resolve my issue.  I guess I need to do it again and not keep my assignments.  I was hoping Appdata, System, and Domain shares would get rebuilt.

I wanted to say thank you to everyone that has helped me.  I seem to have gotten my Plex back online.  I have another question. when I try to replace a drive, it makes another drive fail.

There's no drive rebuild attempt logged in the diags.

Is this normal to have errors on my parity drive?

If it was the first check it may be, run another one, but note that if the first was non correct, the 2nd one should find the same errors.
