Can’t sign into Connect as of today.

Good day. I cannot connect or register my server to Unraid Connect. Its been working perfectly non stop since unraid connect launched. Today my Server was signed out and if I sign in I cannot register it.

Locally it tells me its not signed in and online its giving an error when trying to register.

I guess this is maybe because it is already registered.

But then?

Why does it ask me to register? And why am I not able to link the device to Connect.

I’ve tried again this morning. With exactly the same steps.

It must have been a LimeTech systems issue or something? I just clicked sign in and register and it worked (After a day not working)

I have no idea what changed.

Semi solved I guess?

Having the same issue right now - Connect didn't recognize my server this morning. I updated the plugin and tried to sign back in, now I can't register the server and I can't connect to it through Unraid Connect.

Registration failed for me past couple days. Tried reinstalling the plugin, but no difference.

It now works again.

I would like to mark as Solved. But I can’t yet because I do not know what was wrong and what was fixed. It does seem like it was not only me.

My job is solving problems and writing down how to solve them for the next guy. So… yeah. Not knowing the cause really bothers me.

@elibosley can confirm/deny, but I believe this was an infra issue on our end.

It's still not working for me. When I'm connected locally it tells me I need to register Unraid Connect but when I go to register it says, "Registration Failed."

My aolution was to make sure everything was updated. I went to bed. Woke up in the morning and tried again. Luckily with all the tailscale implementations om not cut out at all even remotely.

But please if anyone gets any reason or setting, let us know?

It was indeed an infrastructure issue on our end . The delay in the solution working was due to our script needing to backfill every sign in into our auth system. If you continue to have issues signing in, try going to the keys page in the account app, then back to the register server page. This will force a token refresh and validate the sign in.

I went to Keys and can see my key. I then went to Register and after clicking Register I still get a small pop-up that says Registration Failed.

I was experiencing this issue this morning. I went to the keys page and it didn't work immediately. After a few minutes, it did work. I went to the keys page a couple of times and I also poked around my other settings (and enabled MFA!). All good now for me (for now)

Ok, It is good that it works for some people, but the problem is not solved!

  1. It still need "physical access" that requires a lot of changes in a remote setup

  2. When will it happen again? Why don't you issue a forced 'token refresh' or at least give detailed instructions?

  3. Why does the Connect-App doesn't inform us and we need to loose time trying and searching

It is pretty disappointing to setup something secure and working and then realise... it actually it is not. Right now I can access all my VMs and Dockers, appart from Unraid itself... in 2 different remote setups, and I've tried remote and local through Tailscale... nothing works... And physical access is not happening for some more weeks...

News after I managed to ...Connect:
To access my servers, locally, I had to go to port 3445 in both cases (that I found Open with a mobile app) since all other ports didn't work (for me)

Then I had to go to ...keys... and ADD both my servers to my Connect.... so I don't know what happened, but it propably was more than just some "token refresh issue"...

instructions of what worked for me

I'm having the exact same problem... thought I had mucked something up somehow. Going to the Keys page solves nothing. I can see the key but I get the "Registration failed" message when I try to re-register my sever.

With Unraid's "Manage Access" page:

Nope. Same as many others. Going to the keys page etc does not resolve.

Multiple different browsers on different systems yields same Registraion Failed error.

Is there any possibility of getting an update on this? I have been unable to use Unraid Connect for over a week now.

Same issue for me.

Was able to get it working by deleting cookies and signing back in over and over but after an update it's back to failing.

Idk what you guys did, but I was finally able to re-add my server to my account as of the update earlier this week. I haven't been able to since this problem happened as of the end of August.

Still doesn't work for me after updating today, deleting all cookies, logging in and out a million times, restarting api etc.

If this helps anyone it just seemed to work for me:

Updated Unraid Connect just now -> went to Settings in the server UI -> Management Access -> Unraid API and restarted it -> then went to Unraid API Settings and selected the login button and it logged me in and I was able to register the server.

I just wanted to connect my Unraid server to "Unraid Connect" today and stumbled across the "sign in failed". Restarting the Unraid API helped!
