  • Had the same issue, you need to edit that line and replace "-f16" with "-f14". Install works great after this edit. Github probably modified its HTML.

Sorry, I'm not normally this dense...I'd never used MC before so I only managed how to copy one file at a time rather than the whole folder.

Works perfectly - thank you!

Is there a link that quickly explains the different extended routing options and how to configure?

Thanks

thanks - got it

Hello. I installed the plugin and am having some problems getting it up and running. The configuration seems to be fine, I left everything on default for the moment, but whenever I start the sever no server IP is shown and cannot access it. The console output is

nohup: redirecting stderr to stdout
tun0: error fetching interface information: Device not found

I am not sure what is happening here so any help is greatly appreciated.

@peter_sm, quick bug report. Current plugin does not update the openvpnserverconfig.ovpn file when we change the path under the server settings.

So going from

/mnt/cache/appdata/openvpn-server

to

/mnt/user/appdata/openvpn-server

will not change the ovpn file. Hope this can get resolved.

Do you mean settings on OpenVPN Server Cert/Misc Configuration: ? in OpenVPN Server Configuration: there is no path to change.

What version are you using ?

//Peter

I'm extremely new to unraid, so please excuse my inability..  :-\

So far I've gotten it installed, put my privateinternetaccess files in the right directory, but I'm getting this error in the log:

Options error: You must define TUN/TAP device (--dev)
Use --help for more information.

FYI I'm using the x64 plugin on the latest version of unraid (fresh install from last night)

Just setting up openVPN on my server for the first time (First time for any VPN for that Matter). Should I be able to see all of my home network once connected? Or only the server I'm connected to? Currently I can only see the Server & my printer IP when I scan using Angry scanner

Yes you have entire LAN accessible trough VPN. Did you do any changes in the default settings ?

//Peter

I started out with Default settings, Then tried a number of changes once I only had access to only the Machine running the VPN server...

Current settings attached

do you have the server IP set as default?

Ive tried setting 192.168.0.0 & 10.8.0.0, neither make a difference. I am running 6.3.0-rc1

Do you have a line like this on the log page ?

7        0     0 MASQUERADE  all  --  *      br0     10.25.0.0/24         0.0.0.0/0

I did, not exactly sure what it said, I have multiple unraid servers, so I moved it to a different server & now have access to my full network. I'm not sure what is wrong with the networking on my test server, but as I use it for testing various things prior to adding them to my Main server, I could have made any number of changes that are interfering with the connection. Its odd, looking at the routing on Unraid & windows etc. it looks identical on both servers. I may have to start my test server from Scratch and then try again see if it fixes the issue.

I have a bridge enabled as I have docker running on both. THere are 2 nic's on each server, but only 1 is used & bonding is turned off.

Actually, that is one difference between my 2 servers, the test server does have bridging enabled for a VM I had set up. I'll turn it off & see if it makes a difference.
