February 15, 20251 yr I'm on an asrock RACK TRX40D8-2N2T MB and i have the problem that all fans say "(fan is not configured!)". Is there anything I need to setup or is that just missing software support? After some playing around, the configure button now does something (no idea what I did), but it doesn't find any IPMI fan locations: Checking IPMI fan Locations... Location 0-1: none Location 0-2: none Location 0-3: none Location 0-4: none Location 0-5: none Location 0-6: none Location 0-7: none Location 0-8: none Saving board configuration... July 23, 2025Jul 23 Hi there,I seem to be missing a sensor in Global Available Sensors.When I run ipmitool sensor I see a sensor called Pwr Consumption.In Config Editor -> Sensors, there is a section Section 99_Pwr_Consumption.In Global Available Sensors, the list mostly lines up with the output of ipmitool sensor, except in the place where Pwr Consumption is, instead I have HDD temperature, which doesn't exist in the ipmitool sensor list.Anyone know how I can get Pwr Consumption?
July 23, 2025Jul 23 Also, would it be possible to use the highest temperature of a selection of sensors to control the fan speed? I have a Dell PE R730 which has a bank of 6 fans near the front of the case which does all the cooling and would like it to ramp up if anything starts heating up.
