keepitshut
Hi everyone, I have overbyrne's SSH plugin installed, but I realised that I am unable to stop the SSH server from running. Everytime I press stop this message appears in the log "emhttp: run_cmd: invalid cmd: /etc/rc.d/rc.ssh stop" Any idea whats causing this and how I could fix it? Thanks Link to comment
Squid
You're running 6.1.x and the plugin is only for 6.0.x Link to comment
keepitshut
Sorry for bumping this so late. So is there any guide as to how I can properly configure SSH without the plugin? I am currently logging in using a passwordless root account. Which is clearly very very insecure Link to comment
CHBMB
Password protect the root account would be a good start. It's in settings somewhere.... Link to comment
keepitshut
Is there an unraid specific guide as to how I can setup SSH for key-based access and secure settings so that I may expose SSH to WAN? Link to comment
RAINMAN
Password protect the root account would be a good start. It's in settings somewhere.... I've look through the settings on the webgui and cant see anything related to SSH. I can add a password easy enough from the console but will that withstand a reboot? or will that setting get wiped out? Also looking to change to a non-standard port. Probably would be the same question. I can do it in console but will that setting hold? Link to comment

RAINMAN
Ohh gee that was easy. I feel dumb now. Any way to add more users to be given SSH access? I have others setup but they cant login. Putty just closes once they enter the password. Link to comment
