April 11, 201115 yr Author Hello i'm getting : MD5 of existing downloaded file NOT matched - download may be corrupted or download URL no longer valid. every time i try to install a package with unmenu. I'm using unmenu 1.3.7.1 and unraid 5.0-beta6a. any clues why? No, but others have reported the same thing with that version of unRAID. Use the link)s) in the package, download the package file(s) to your PC and then move them to your \\tower\packages directory. The package manager will see them and let you proceed. I've never had any issue here on my server running 5.0-beta6a, so I cannot duplicate to attempt to diagnose. Sorry, but at least there is a work-around.
April 12, 201115 yr Fixed it! Tried to download the file manually and them move them to unraid, only worked with half of them. Eventually downloaded them manually via tower with wget worked like a charm... Thanks for the help Joe

May 11, 201115 yr newbee question, so please be gentle. I installed unMenu and all was well, but then I installed a few packages and now suddenly when I only open the main unRaid menu nothing is displayed anymore besides strange messages, is that expected? I installed unRAID-Web and since then I don't get the normal menu anymore. Any help is greatly appreciated. thanks MrLondon

May 11, 201115 yr Just wanted to report that 5.0beta6a downloading screen is giving me the md5 error. can you be a bit more vague? I assume he is talking about the download error others are seeing for whatever reason. I have not tried to download anything through unMenu as of yet on my test machine... will have to do that when I get a chance.
May 12, 201115 yr May I ask here regarding one of the packages? I'm trying to install Screen from unMENU 1.3.7.1 (unmenu.awk: Version 1.4 Revision: 220) on 5b5a. I get an error with md5 checksum. Is there a log where I can see more info? The syslog doesn't show anything. Is md5 changed in 5b5a (I recall no probs on 5b4) or is the package actually changed, or do I have a serious transmission problem (tried several times already)? The below output looks like suck, that's what you get for cutandpasting the text from the webpage. I just figured I would jump on and quickly say that when I try to install Screen from unMenu's package manager I get an error saying that the MD5's do not match. I could have left the version of unraid out and I believe that would have been even more vague I noticed a few posts above mine that discussed about it and therefore I assumed that this well known issue and discussed. My fault. It's really amazing how far unMenu has come! I just upgraded to 1.3 less than 2 months ago and was shocked by all the updates!

May 18, 201115 yr Author Running unMENU Version 1.3 Revision: 139 One of my disk (last disk # 16) in the array is not showing up in the File Browser. Just wondering why and how can I get it to show up? I believe it used to show up. I don't believe it ever showed up... It was only coded to allow you to see by default disks 1 through 15. (That's all we could have back when I originally wrote it) I just updated it. It you "check for updates" it will let you install a new version that will let you see disk16 in the file browser. Joe L.
May 18, 201115 yr Thanks Joe. That is one more thing off my mind as I nurse my server that recently had a hiccup.
May 18, 201115 yr This was the first update of unMENU for me and it looked like I was missing a lot of updats. On notable is that the myMain has changed. I was using the myMain_local.conf file, but a new one was downloaded. The new one has no instructions and so is there a link where I can read up on the MyMain to merge my old myMain_local.conf file? Update: I found the myMain 1.5 thread. Will read up to merge my old conf file.

May 20, 201115 yr Hi there, can you tell me how I can get the new MyMain 1.5 into the unMenu 1.3, I already checked the google code for unmenu however could not find anything about myMain 1.5 in there? Hopefully this is not a completely stupid question. also the new version 1.5 is that now showing the pre_clear script status ?

Hopefully this is not a completely stupid question. also the new version 1.5 is that now showing the pre_clear script status ? Use the "Check for Updates" button on th user-scripts page in unMENU if you already have unMENU installed. It will then allow you to download all the updated files by presenting an install button if updates are available. If you're installing unMENU for the first time, it will automatically get the newest version of MyMain. You'll also need to use the newest version of the preclear_disk.sh script to see its output status in MyMain. (Older versions did not post the clearing status where MyMain could see it for display)

Hopefully by tomorrow I have a unRaid machine up and running 100%!!!!
May 22, 201115 yr I worked around it, rather than finding a solution. My first downloads were working but any others weren't. So I downloaded them directly (right click 'save as' to get the .tgz, otherwise I was getting a .tar for some reason). Then dragged them into the packages folder on the flash (browse to //tower/flash in network places). Then by selecting 'show all packages' and selecting it again (eg screen/mail ), it then showed up as 'install package' because it detected they were already downloaded.
May 22, 201115 yr Author Obviously I missed something in my most recent change when there are multiple packages to download.... I'll look at it tonight. As you indicated, there is a work-around. Sorry.... now you know for sure, I don't write perfect code all the time....
May 22, 201115 yr hey, unmenu probably single handedly makes unRAID accessible for non-linux experts that want more than just a file store. You're doing amazing work.
May 23, 201115 yr hey, unmenu probably single handedly makes unRAID accessible for non-linux experts that want more than just a file store. You're doing amazing work. Indeed he does. If everyone does another check for updates from within unMenu the download issue should be fixed. Joe L. and I figured out what was going on... or rather I sent a message to Joe L. about what I thought was happening and he fixed it.
