lachiu
I'm new to FileZilla and am having issues with setting it up. I'm really lost. I got the webUI in front of me and want to give a friend access to FileZilla with an SSH key. I think this is the server version so idk what to do. Please advice. Quote Link to comment

fonzie
I know that FileZilla mirrors whatever theme you have installed in linux, but I was wondering if it were possible to give this docker a dark gtk theme? Quote Link to comment

Try the following: Edit the container settings and add the variable "GTK2_RC_FILES" with value "/usr/share/themes/Arc-Dark/gtk-2.0/gtkrc". Make sure the container is started and execute the following command: "docker exec FileZilla add-pkg arc-theme". Restart the container. Quote Link to comment
plantsandbinary
Can I get some help guys? I want to connect to this Filezilla docker container from my Filezilla client application on Windows so I can transfer files between my laptop in the US and my HP server running this docker on Unraid in Germany. Is this even possible or is the docker for something else entirely? I've installed the container and made a PGP key on my laptop. What's the next step? Also should I be instead trying to connect directly to Unraid's FTP (usually over port 22) or something instead of the Filezilla docker? I'd really appreciate any help. It's the same as the FileZilla client in Windows only its packaged as a docker with a web/VNC GUI on your server. You don't use one to connect to the other. You use this to connect to an FTP/SFTP server (just as you would with FileZilla on Windows) for file transfer. 1 Quote Link to comment
plantsandbinary
Ok thanks for clearing that up. Sorry for the confusion. So I could install FileZilla server on my Windows PC. Elect to share a file, make a user and then use this Docker client to connect to the server running on my PC? So I cannot connect client to client? That is, I cannot download the client on my Windows PC and connect it to the client running on this docker via WebUI? If that's the case, I don't have any use for this docker but I'd like to know for sure. All I really want to do is connect to my Unraid server back in Germany via SFTP to transfer some files from the storage partition "/tank". P.S. Do I need to have FTP turned on and enabled via the Unraid main settings? Edited January 6, 2019 by plantsandbinary Quote Link to comment

This FileZilla Docker container is only a client and do not act as a server. On your unRAID server, you need an FTP server. There is on built-in in unRAID (Settings -> FTP server). Yes, this docker is a client 48 minutes ago, plantsandbinary said: So I cannot connect client to client? Probably the best use case for this docker is wanting to download files from an FTP server directly to the storage on the unRAID server. This docker then acts as the client in a browser rather than running a client on a Windows or Mac machine. 48 minutes ago, plantsandbinary said: All I really want to do is connect to my Unraid server back in Germany via SFTP to transfer some files from the storage partition "/tank". Connect with an FTP client as a valid user to your unRAID server with FTP enabled so it knows it can handle FTP requests. Enable Help on the FTP Server settings page to get a better idea what it does. Edited January 6, 2019 by Hoopster Quote Link to comment
