The typical response of a server from the big box suppliers is to run all remaining fans at max. Like screaming this can extend seeks times, unlike screaming it can last for days. It was basically the parts from ANC headset broken out and placed in the computer case. It helped, some. The drive manufacturers have also advanced their products with this data.
