jonp
Going to need more info than just your subject line and diagnostics. What happened?Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk Quote Link to comment
Squid
It would probably really help if you put this into context. IE: What originally happened, what did you do to attempt to solve, etc since the diagnostics are from after a reboot and only cover 12 minutes Quote Link to comment
jwente
I just did a reboot and when the server came back up everything was gone. Quote Link to comment
jwente
I am fairly new to unraid so i may have made a stupid mistake. Quote Link to comment
Squid
Still doesn't answer the question though. How much data was present? Did drives come up as unmountable? Did you hit format? Quote Link to comment
jwente
One drive is showing as unmountable and i have not formatted any of the drives One of the drives in the array had all the data and it was only about 700G Edited December 8, 2019 by jwente Quote Link to comment
Squid
post a screenshot, as your diagnostics does show that your two drives mounted ok. Quote Link to comment
trurl
Both data disks appear to be mounted and probably empty. Did you only have those two data disks? Do you have backups of the lost data? 14 minutes ago, jwente said: I am fairly new to unraid so i may have made a stupid mistake. There is still a lot missing from your narrative. What did you do exactly that may or may not have been a stupid mistake? Quote Link to comment
Squid
Post a new set of diagnostics. That doesn't jive with the one you previously posted Quote Link to comment
trurl
That screenshot doesn't agree with your diagnostics. Did you do anything between taking the diagnostics and taking the screenshot? Quote Link to comment

trurl
That diagnostic doesn't agree with your screenshot either, since it doesn't show any disks mounted and in fact shows them as both newly assigned. Are you messing around trying to fix this by yourself? Stop! Post a new screenshot. Quote Link to comment
Squid
Basically the above, but when we're trying to help and look at diagnostics in relation to the screenshot, don't do anything. And it looks like you've definitely stopped the array but the screenshot shows that its not. Restart the array, and post a screenshot and a fresh diagnostics Quote Link to comment
Squid
Also, in Unassigned Devices, disable any drive attempting to automount. It's messing crap up in the logs and confusing the issue. Quote Link to comment

jonp
Did you ever go to Tools > New Config?Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk Quote Link to comment
jonp
Ok we need you to really take a few minutes and write up, to the best of your recollection, all actions you've taken before and after your first post. You're leaving out a lot of details and the diags alone don't provide context to the story. If you want help, your posts should be longer in length than the replies you're receiving. Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk Quote Link to comment
jwente
I was mapping some shares to plex today and after the docker container started i went into the plex web client. The Media was there but it would not play. And this is where the rookie mistake happened. I reboot the server. And when it came back up all the disk showed basically 0 space used. I went into full panic mode, I created a new config another huge mistake. At this point i have not touched it. Quote Link to comment
Squid
New config at that point won't affect anything IF you correctly assigned the drives back to where they were. You need to stop Unassigned Devices from automounting any drives, as it is logging stuff that only confuses the issue. After that, restart the array, do NOT hit format, and then post a clean set of diagnostics. Quote Link to comment

jwente
I removed Unassigned Devices plugin so it would not cause any issue, i was not using it anyway. Quote Link to comment
