(still leaving all VMs/dockers disable) OK, I restarted in safe mode and there is no disk activity, rebooted to normal mode but without docker & vm manager running and I still have disk activity. Cache dirs constantly reads drives. If you don't have enough RAM to keep the entries cached, it keeps the drives spun and reading. Quote Link to comment

It's a plugin. Click on the checkbox then the remove button on the Dynamix Cache Directories entry on the Installed Plugin page that you posted a screenshot. Quote Link to comment
