Hello, Im fighting against my unraid server to get GPU passthrough working on w11 So my GPu is passing without any issue to w10, to macos catalina, Im installing w11, passing the GPU, logging with RDP, intalling all the nvidia drivers, but the screen is still dark. I have the GPU and the sound card passed through (0a.00.00 and 0a.00.01), using the same rom as w10 .... Im out of solutions, I do not know where to search anymore Thanks in advance

Question about GPU Passthrough ... after learning that nvidia zere not supported any;ore in monterey, I ordered a Saphire 6600 8gb. I updated the opencore to last version, passthrough the GPU with its bios, everything works fine with vnc remote, I can see my screen. But no display on the external monitor. when the VM is booting, iget the apple logo and the progress bar, but then the screen goes black. I tried copying the whatevergreen and the lilu.ktext from this page https://dortania.github.io/GPU-Buyers-Guide/modern-gpus/amd-gpu.html#native-amd-gpus but result is the same (not sure if Ineed to do more than copying this to the EFI partition) any ideas ?

I got the installation working with Monterey Setup up the hide picker in the plist file, so the VM is booting and functionning without any issue with VNC. As I wanted to get maps working, I read that I need to have a Graphic Card passed through. I passed my 1050ti , with its ROM. the setup is working like a charm on Windos, but for the MAC VM I get a black Screen. Even Worse, when I remove the card, I cannot roll back. I need to put a saved xml ( before adding the card) to get the VM working again. any Clue ?

Hello, I would like to enderstand what is the "standard" iperf result between Unraid and a Windows VM. I get stuck at 8gbis/s with a W10 VM. I'm on a i440 Fx5.1 with a virtio network adapter. I get about 700/800 MB/s from the VM (which has an nvme) to the Unraid Cahce (NVME also) When testing the NVME alone, I get over 3,5 GB/s

that is a great Tuto ! I have followed the entire steps and wa able to passthrough the HBA, setting up TrueNAS, creating the shares. But when transfering files to the Share, I was only getting 140Mb/s. I checked an iperf3 with a windows VM and only got 1,4 Gbits/sec. I checked and saw I had the virtio-net that I changed to virtio and then the iperf wen to 2,31 Gbits/sec I then tested the Windows VM with the Unraid server and got 8,5 Gbits/sec I do not understand why the virtual network between the trueNAS VM and the server is so slow

Hello, I used to have the preview switch (that is now deprecated) the latest switch should be the V3, but if I'm putting latest, I'm going back to v2 ? but staying with the preview, in the container it says that I do not have the latest version What am I doing wrong ?

I will try in this way. One additional question. Is the script tranferring all the data, compairing and then delete/creating hardlink ? or is the script checking existing and only transferring the changed information. Data to save is very big at my side, and a lot of files, and the backup takes more than 10 hours (when running locally) So remote, it would be worse if the script is transferring everything

First thanks for the work ! I'm trying to implement the script between my Unraid server and an offsite Synology NAS. The synology has Disks mounted in Raid 5 and volume formated in BTRFS. The synology is mounted as an SMB share (this is maybe whre the mistake is) and everytime I start the script (from my unraid server to backup on the Synology) It does a full backup. I assume the hardlinks are not working on this setup. What do I do wrong ? do I need to mount the synology in another way ?

Hello, The issue started while i was trying to know my real network speed (Wifi) and the potential need for an upgrade to Wifi 6 ... I installed openspeed test network and got a wifi speed about 600Mbits/s from my macbook air m1. To be sure, I tried the same from a windows VM on Bridge with a discrete IP from the server and got a 980Mbits/s up and down. So for sure I have only a gigabit network, so I assume the connection from the VM to the server (which has another IP) is going through the router ? I tried to validate the results by doing an Iperf from the VM to a Iperf3 docker, and got a 7Gb/s - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - [ ID] Interval Transfer Bandwidth [ 4] 0.00-10.00 sec 8.56 GBytes 7.35 Gbits/sec sender [ 4] 0.00-10.00 sec 8.56 GBytes 7.35 Gbits/sec receiver When I doing a file transfer from the VM to the Unraid Cache, I'm getting between 800MB/s and 900MB/s , so also almost a 10Gb/s connection, saturating the M.2 SSD This is concistent because the VM in on the host on a virtual adapter. So but I do not understand why the Openspeedtest is limited to 1Gb/s PS, I tried an Iperf3 from the unraid command line to the iperf3 docker, and got over 50Gb/s

NO here I'm talking about a BTRFS Raid on a cache pool. I still have access to the pool, but the 3 drives are shown as green .... So I do not know that a drive is missing .... In this case, I know because I removed it on purpose, but if a drive if failing or missing, I would exoect that Unraid is showing a red light next to the drive

Sorry you got me wrong, I removed the drive intentionally to test the notification /rebuild process. My problem is that I still see the pool in Green on the 3 drives in Unraid. I just got a warning notification that a disk is missing. I wanted to know if this is normal ? I find it a little little from a notification perspective, If you miss the notification, you are not seeing any problem on the main / Dashboard

I'm currently 6.9.0 beta 30 and making some tests with a cache pool linked to a share steup as "cache only". I wanted to get the features of unraid with some more speed ! So the cache pool is setup as Raid 5, I rtied to remove one disk to see what is happening. Nothing , I have 3 drives in Raid5, and even removing one drive the 3 leds are still Green. Some minutes later, i simply get a notification warning that one disk is missing. The leds on the Webui are staying Green. Is there another way to be informed that something is wrong with the Pool ?
