  1. So my Seasonic 650 watt that I'm going to use to replace the Corsiar 850W in my unRaid arrived, but the Nexus in my desktop died so it ended up in there instead... Balls.
  2. Hmm, if I remember right, all the unRaid backpanes took Molex; I think my complete powersupply needs are just the motherboard cable and 4 or 5 molexes...
  3. Thanks Rajahal! I'll probably wait and see if it goes cheaper; my server is embedded in Ikea furniture, and I have to rearrange my living room to get to it; I need to open it up and change the powersupply, fix the RAM, put in a 120mm fanwall, and another AOS SATA card all at once... No hurry
  4. So I hate the Corsair I have, mostly because it has too many thick unused cables... by Black Friday I'd like to do it right and buy a Seasonic modular like I should have in the first place... I currently have 11 drives, but I'm planning on eventually expanding to a full 20 (4 on the mobo, 8 on one card, 8 on the other) Parity is a 7200 RPM, rest are green drives and will be... 650, 750, 850; which one would get me by?

  6. Sweet! Thanks Joe!! Time to move all those loud, heat generating, clicking and whirring movies off my HTPC into the unraid closet!
  7. Hello, I just ran pastebin on 3 simultaneous 2TB drives, took between 25:48 hours for the fastest (WD EARS, jumpered), 29:18 for the slowest (WD EADS) Any comment on the 3 pastebins? http://pastebin.com/hj7RRXq9 http://pastebin.com/A6eNPNBE http://pastebin.com/bcbsmi4r
  8. Okay, I have this RAM: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4837614&csid=ITD&body=MAIN#detailspecs I set the 9-9-9-24 timings in my BIOS, running memtest now... but it reports it as 6-6-6-15. Does memtest read wrong? Or is my BIOS fighting me? Are there any parameters I should set besides the basic timings?
  9. Ah yes, it's 2 sticks of 2GB of DDR3 ram... didn't set it up in the BIOS... or run a memtest yet either... D'oh! And now it's located far from any monitors... time to go lug the beast back to a screen. Thanks Joe!
  10. Ran the script on my new build, got this weird error message: http://pastebin.com/u0Uk1KuD It also killed unmenu, but the regular webserver kept running. Any idea?
