  1. Do you have the option set in your browser to allow inactive tabs to ‘sleep’? I think I have seen that linked to this problem.
  2. It would be interesting to find out if there is really likely to be any performance benefit go doing this over writing directly to the ZFS array set to run in Exclusive mode.
  3. Do you have a backup of the flash drive (in particular the 'config' folder)?
  4. You can get automatic backups of the flash drive if you have the MyServers or the Appdata Backup plugins installed. In addition the Appdata Backup plugin would give you automated periodic backups of the appdata folder if it is on the cache. There is also a VM backup plugin if you have VM vdisks on the cache.
  5. Do you have the S3 Sleep plugin installed? If so try removing that to see if the problem persists as it has caused issues for many people on recent Unraid releases.
  6. In theory it is safe to use a disk with reallocated sectors as long as the value is stable and not increasing. Having said that there are more on that disk than I would be happy with.
  7. Depends what is on the cache pool that needs backing up? There are plugins for backing up appdata and VM vdisks at specified intervals.
  8. Should not need to do this. Once you get in I would expect everything to come back as it was before.
  9. Whichever is most convenient. Normally All but that is up to you as you are then going to make changes. The New Config tool is covered here in the online documentation accessible via the ‘Manual’ link at the bottom of the GUI or the DOCS link at the top of each forum page.
  10. Yes - you should get the writing speed of the disk you are currently writing to (as Unraid does not do striping).
  11. This would not result in mover doing anything as the "No" setting makes mover ignore the share. The setting to move from pool to array is "Yes". If in doubt use the Help built into the GUI to see what would be the correct setting for what you want to do. The other point is that mover will never overwrite duplicates as in normal operation they should not occur. It is up to you to decide which copy to keep and manually delete the other.
  12. I have never heard of a list being available.
  13. Not sure why you are being prompted but this section of the online documentation should help. No reason any of the other bits of the configuration should be lost.
  14. You may find this section of the online documentation useful in sorting out your array drives.
  15. Yes. The Extended SMART test is not taken into account by the drive when deciding if it should report itself as healthy. It is only when one of the SMART attributes indicate a problem that you get a different indication.
  16. It failed the extended SMART test so I would say the answer is yes.
  17. The UD plugin can mount them outside the Unraid array for reading/writing. However if you want them to be part of the Unraid array then Unraid has to partition and format them (which wipes any existing content).
  18. Plugins can definitely distribute binaries. This is why it is important that they are maintained and validated against each Unraid release so they do not install any binaries that are incompatible with those included within any particular Unraid release.
  19. Since the drives are of mixed size then the GUI is misleading and only the size of the smallest drive is available.
  20. Yes - as long as there is a wire between the Unraid server and the power line adapter. a word of caution though - in my experience the data throughput of powerline adapters is well below their advertised speed - in my experience something like 25–30% of the advertised speed.
  21. Unraid does not include support for WiFi if that is what you are trying to use as it includes no WiFi drivers. It expects its Ethernet link to be wired.
  22. The boot process is covered in some detail here in the online documentation accessible via the ‘Manual’ link at the bottom of the GUI or the DOCS link at the top of each forum page.
  23. I would put them on the flash drive, and then in the ‘go’ file copy them to a runtime position and set the executable bit before running them. That way everything is nicely self-contained, and it is easy to later undo this if you no longer want them. an alternative is to do this in the User Script but then it only applies when the array starts and you may want it earlier?
  24. It is a modified version of the 'md' driver through which all low level reads/writes to the Unraid array are directed. The source for this driver is included in the Unraid distribution under /usr/src
