  1. lspci -v This will list all the devices. Just find your ethernet device in the list.
  2. Where is the setting for iplan? Also nuked the docker.img file and rebuilt from previous apps. I don't specifically have VT-d in my BIOS but I am assuming its just the virtualization technology setting. Is there a bug tracker to follow this? I am also assuming VMs will not work till this is corrected? Edit: Also parity check is showing 2900 errors so far 3% into it. Is there a way to find out where they are to nuke those files. Array data does not concern me too much with loss.
  3. diagnostics was ran before reboot.
  4. After awhile the server finally rebooted and everything seems to be up and running now without issue. Would like to find out the issue if possible.
  5. Upgraded to 6.10 yesterday and woke up this morning to docker and VMs offline. Trying to reboot the server but stuck at Retry unmounting disk share. tower-diagnostics-20220522-0934.zip
  6. In the interim it might be possible to bypass that if you are confident of no man in the middle attacks and bypass the host key check using: ssh -o StrictHostKeyChecking=no -o UserKnownHostsFile=/dev/null Not sure if it will work in this exact scenario.
  7. I would think it is picking up the first partition which might be left over from the server OS that was installed. This can be confirmed by running fdisk -l /dev/sdb And if you see one listed as 500MB and others that add up to 500GB then that is the issue.
  8. As a test, I installed a USB ethernet adapter and passed it through to the VM. And the problem goes away. So there is something odd with the Unraid network. Connecting to unraid server via SSH does not have this issue. It is just VMs.
  9. I installed Ubuntu Server in a VM with 8 cores and 8 GBs of RAM and when doing anything via the VNC console or SSH its like its lagging. More like the network is lagging. But thats def not what the issue is. The disk image is on the cache pool and htop in the VM is showing nearly 0 usage and Unraid dashboard shows little usage also. Nothing is happening on the cache pool while running this VM. I am just not sure how to troubleshoot this outside of posting here. tower-diagnostics-20220509-1130.zip
  10. Using legacy mode and this didn't work either. Used this in conjunction with and without console 0.
  11. I set console to 0 and 1 and it ended in the same result. I lose video as soon as grub loads. But booting to GUI mode, I still get the no output during boot till GUI is loaded. And the GUI works fine.
  12. Like this? default menu.c32 menu title Lime Technology, Inc. prompt 0 timeout 50 console 0 label Unraid OS kernel /bzimage append initrd=/bzroot label Unraid OS GUI Mode menu default kernel /bzimage append initrd=/bzroot,/bzroot-gui label Unraid OS Safe Mode (no plugins, no GUI) kernel /bzimage append initrd=/bzroot unraidsafemode label Unraid OS GUI Safe Mode (no plugins) kernel /bzimage append initrd=/bzroot,/bzroot-gui unraidsafemode label Memtest86+ kernel /memtest
  13. Yeah it has a IMM. In the BIOS there is no settings for it other than network configuration. It doesn't even seem to be an option to disable it.
  14. Console redirection is turned off.
  15. Here is a fun wrench to throw in. GUI mode works perfectly fine. Set GUI to boot by default and it works perfectly. Not really sure what that means to be honest
  16. Just text. I don't even get the grub bootloader. But system boots and works just can't see it.
  17. Anyone got any ideas?
  18. Just picked up a Lenovo x3100 M5 and video output disappears after boot. I can see BIOS screen and everything like that. But as soon as it starts boot from Unraid, I get no output. Not just black screen but monitor sees no input. Unraid is working perfectly fine, boots like it is supposed to just have no output. For testing I booted from ubuntu live usb and it outputs video like it should. Any help would be appreciated. unraid-diagnostics-20220408-1036.zip
  19. Just to add to this. Any type of direct write to disk for example extracting a large file results in around 30 MB/s of write speed. So it doesn't seem specific to the disk or controller. It is about 100MB/s for the SSD.
  20. Brand new install with nothing running same results. All speedtests look good. Just the writing to disk from something through the ethernet. Its a completely odd issue. From SSD to HDD file move is about 40MB/s which is about what I expected. From another computer on my network im getting the same 10MB/s max and mostly around 6MB/s. I used another computer to verify that it wasn't the file I was downloading. So its just the path through ethernet to disk (and its the same whether writing to SSD or HDD which SSD is connected to onboard sata and HDD on a controller) that is causing some type of bottleneck, since disk to disk is about what I expected. I get that the other stuff beating the processor would cause that but like I said its the same exact thing on a fresh install.
  21. So I know its a slow processor, but I wouldn't think it would affect the disk write speeds this much. gigabit internet and lan connection. Speedtest from unraid is 970Mbps consistently. Actually writing speeds for example running wget large file I absolutely cannot break 10MB/s. This is exactly the same whether it is the HDD or SSD. iperf is normal as its not writing to disk. rsync across wired connection shows the same exact results with not breaking 10MB/s more consistently 6MB/s. All docker containers are stopped for my tests and CPU usage is nearly nothing. For additional testing I did a brand new install on a new flash drive and the same results. Any tips other than get a new machine would be appreciated. unraid-diagnostics-20220330-1752.zip
  22. Plugin is showing GVT-g not supported. 10th gen i3 processor. Diags attached tower-diagnostics-20220104-1231.zip
  23. So to come back to this, it seems unraid doesn't output video so I was assuming it wasn't booting. It used to and even fresh usb drive with fresh install I do not get any video output of server. I can wait awhile and see unraid booted using the webgui and it is working. Just curious now why video output stopped working. It did before this happened. I get bios splash and all that but as soon as it boots to usb I get no video output.
  24. Yeah not sure what is going on. I just did a reinstall and started happening on this install. After a reboot it wouldn't boot again. didnt even look like it was picking up the drive. So I ran the unraid installer on it, ran the make bootable and it just won't boot. Flashed mint onto same flash drive and it booted without issue. Not quite sure why mint would boot and not unraid on same drive and same port
  25. The only thing in the manner was changing the temps for drives inside the GUI
