  1. I had the same problem and could not delete the failed directories. No way found. Krusader would not delete them and although Linux commands have been used I did not know how and it is more than I wanted to learn today. I hope I never need to restore from Appdata Backup but appreciate that I have it and praise the Maintainer. Praise to the Community. It helps to have the right tools in your toolbox when doing Maintenance. For some reason I added Dynamix File Manager plugin today. Praise the developer of this one. I visited the directory where I have the appdata backups to see if I had a failure today and it succeeded but I now have the ability to select the failed directories and delete them one at a time. Could not do multiple selections but happy to free the space occupied by failed backups. Hope this helps others with same or similar problems.
  2. Thanks for pointing out problem can be resolved via Linux commands. I'm an old guy who is more comfortable with a GUI. Terminal is not my friend. Kind of confirms I should use Krusader to navigate to location and delete the failed backups. Used to do Microsoft Support starting back in the mid 1980's and this Linux stuff is an effort to move from Microsoft and keep my mind active as I am still learning new things.
  3. I have the same problem. Only 2 dockers are installed. Bin Hex Krusader and Bin Hex Plex Pass. The failed files are not dropping off and I cannot manually clear them. Older successful files may be dropping off but I cannot say for certain. A solution would be appreciated.
  4. I was having problems with Remote Shares not being written to and from by Radarr and Plex after the update to version 6.12.1. Rebooting the dockers did not help. To be doubly safe I backed up the flash drive before and after updating to 6.12.2. After reboot I manually restarted each of the dockers I wanted running on all 3 servers. My problems I had been having with the dockers are now gone. The docker downgrade is what I think solved my problem that simple reboots did not solve. Thank you for finding and fixing the problem with the docker version. It appears to be working very well again.
  5. I look forward to having the ability to restore specific containers. I was doing monthly backups with V2 and the one I have is from 12/12/22. Even if it is usable for restoring it would overwrite the AppData for Plex which has changed a lot since then. I had a Parity drive failure and unresponsive system which required a dirty reset button restart. I recovered from that and replaced the parity drive but in the process I lost the ability to start Mariadb. Will have to reinstall it so it can start. Current AppData has no files for MariaDb and it would have been nice to recover that container only. The backup does have a copy of MariaDb but I see fewer problems doing 1 container reinstall than messing up the ones that are not currently broken.
  6. Welcome Eli We can always appreciate more people with good experience to promote the Community. Look forward to see what develops with the My Servers App which I have been avoiding over the privacy concerns I have after reading the requirements for installing the App. I am impressed with the Bio and am glad I am not the only one the desire to replace my Microsoft Media Servers. Wish I had gotten into UnRaid sooner but didn't get here till about about a year and a half ago. Before that I tried Open ******** , Open ****** and Xpenology but they had too many issues and problems with a couple of their communities. Best wishes and hope you go far. Praise to UnRaid, the Superstars and Contributors. I am sure I have seen some of the contributor names in the forums of the systems I have left behind. So the contributors have extensive knowledge. I turn 70 tomorrow and as can be expected I really appreciate the resources available from the UnRaid community as I move away from Microsoft. 20 years ago my Microsoft Technical Support Help Desk Job moved to India. I had to be conversant and able support products from DOS 5 through Windows 7. I draw the line at Windows 10 do not expect to use Windows 11. So that explains why the move has been hard for me to continue my education. In conclusion I really appreciate UnRaid and all the community. I as of today have 2 Pro licenses and one Plus license. Supermicros all the way. 3 - 4U boxes and 3 - 2U boxes. I'll be able to retire some of the hardware and all the Microsoft Server licenses which are nearing End of Life.

  8. I think I am therefore I Am. But what if I only think I am thinking?

I have done a lot of reading and watching tutorials on best practices for setting up user shares but still need some guidance. I watched Space Invader Ones video on setting up user shares for best performance and in the video he recommends setting up different shares for each type of folder such as Downloads, Movies, TV, etc. I also read TRaSH's guide on setting up users shares to work with Sonarr/Radarr/NZB and they recommend using one share with subfolders. I'm confused as to what is the recommended setup and would like to get it right from the beginning. From my understanding of the cache drive, if I went with TRaSH's guide of setting up one 'data' share, what would be the point of using a cache drive? I also watched Space Invaders video on setting up a root share and it seems like that is also an option to allow for setting up separate user shares while still getting the performance of atomic move/hardlinking. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. I may have found a kindred spirit. I am also looking for a guide which addresses using preexisting Wiindows Server SMB shares. Praise be to Spaceinvader One but he never touched on proper setup for what I want to do. I followed his guides for setting up UnRaid 6.9 and for running Docker running Sonarr/Radarr/SABNZBD which I kind of have working New to UnRaid and using V6.9..2 with 8TB parity - 2 8TB data drives - 1 TB SSD Cache drive 1TB mechanical Downloads cache drive and a 4TB Docker cache drive in a 2 U Supermicro Chassis with 8 hot swap bays. Need to use the 2 24 bays servers which have all my stored Movies and TV shows in Windows Server folders. In his guides "he recommends setting up different shares for each type of folder such as Downloads, Movies, TV, etc. " Done that. Spaceinvader One guides seem to point only Downloads Movies and TV shares .... does not mention Remote Shares which I use for the final home for my downloads. I created a SMB folder on the Windows Server .... Called Downloads and based on SAB recommended Storage locations .... I have a directory tree setup with Windows share called Downloads with Sub-folders Complete / Books / Default / Movies /Music /Software /Temp /TV. I have UnRaid Main page set up with those Remote SMB shares. I have the Dockers pointed to the SMB shares and in the SAB setup I point it to the same destination. It works but is slow and inconsistent. I monitor the progress via Windows Explorer to the Downloads folder. Sometimes the files are not detected in Downloads but Radarr and Sonarr get them. Sometimes I have to manually import them to TV and Movies. Sometimes Sonarr and Radarr leave behind a Movie / TV show name empty folder but that may be a quirk in how they work. I wanted to avoid having the Movies Data Downloads and TV shares on the UnRaid Shares becoming overfilled. They all point to Disk 1 or Disk 2 in my array and I'm not sure if they could become stuck there. I suspect those UnRaid Shares are an intermediate stop along the way to the Destinations I have set in the Docker Containers. Did I mention I am new to Docker? Never tried it before UnRaid. Currently only have UnRaid on 8 bay with a Plus License but I have an empty 24 bay and bought a Black Friday Pro key and I am working toward setting up an UnRaid server to replace the Microsoft servers which have an expiration date for their continued support. First TV then later movies to be moved. If I can move the TV shows to an UnRaid server then later move the Movies to the current Microsoft TV chassis and then it's away from Microsoft servers. Maybe an expert in the UnRaid community can help me use the remote shares properly till I can move away from Microsoft.
