  1. Has how-to-update-Clover been discussed already in this thread? I haven't been following too closely since I finalized my Sierra build, but I remember having some problems in the past trying to get Clover updated. If I remember correctly, I would do the automatic update, it would appear to have been updated, but the change would never stick. Any chance there's a tutorial (or a gridrunner video ) floating around?
  2. Apologies. Didn't realize there was a discussion in another thread then the one I linked to. I will go ahead and run the command. Thanks!
  3. Hi, Not sure if this has been covered, but it seems like Emby on Android Mobile devices is currently broken for Emby servers inside Docker. Any thing being played direct works without issue, while any file that is transcoded never loads. A grey screen loads up and then nothing else happens. Not frozen though, as you can gracefully exit. Happens with external as well as internal player. Here's a thread discussing the problem. There are a bunch of Emby server logs in the above mentioned thread. Also, it appears like someone in the thread does have the answer: Should I go ahead and run the command, or is this something that is getting worked on? Thanks!
  4. Thanks for pointing that out! I hadn't really priced out other options than Amazon (because I already had Prime), but it looks like Crashplan and Backblaze both have unlimited packages priced around the same as Amazon's unlimited files offer, and they provide version control (unlike amazon). The description of Rclone mentions Backblaze B2. Has anyone tried the Backblaze Personal Backup with Rclone?
  5. Ooooh! That sounds better!.... Does that mean though that the entirety of the folder being watched would get uploaded every time, or does it still look at modified date etc? also, maybe you would get ransomware protection, because wouldn't local files that were renamed by ransomware appear to be new files to rclone (if using the copy function)?
  6. I am looking (and I've read this thread and the docker thread) at installing rclone to backup all my important files to amazon drive, but one thing I can't seem to get my head around: What happens in the event of accidental deletions/corruption of local files, or being infected with ransomware? From my reading, rclone makes an exact copy of the local folder you point it at. If this is the case, wouldn't it also delete/rename any backup versions when next it runs? Also, is there any sort of version control built in? Thanks! [EDIT] So I think I've answered my own questions. No versioning control and if local files get nixed, backups do as well?... If this is the case, what is the purpose of this exactly? I suppose having a cloud version of all your files for ease of access?... I feel I'm missing something here... Perhaps I should reword this to: "What does running rclone do for you?"
  7. The TVDB is/was having some intermittent uptime issues. That may also be your problem with Sonarr as I believe it uses it as its data source...
  8. Weird! Any of you VM gurus have a thought on what allanp81 is seeing?
  9. This confuses me . My understanding was that isolcpus is to tell the unRaid OS "Hands off these cpus. They're reserved for someone else". Then emulatorpin is to put the emulation task on other cpus and leave the virtual cpus (that have been isolated from unRaid) free to take care of the vm. Now, your statement above tells me that you are isolating a set of cores from the unRaid OS, then telling the VM to have the emulation task put on those cores that the unRaid OS is not supposed to be able to get at... Am I interpreting that right? Not trying to be a jerk . I'm just always looking at improving things and would love to understand the logic behind this!
  10. I get the same result for the dmidecode: 'EP2C602-4L/D16' The lscpu command gives me '2'
  11. It wouldn't hurt and will make it perform a little bit better. How many cores does your system have and how are you assigning them? Success! Looks like isolating the cpus did the trick. Crackle/popping seems to be gone... For the record, this is my xml for cpus: <cputune> <vcpupin vcpu='0' cpuset='12'/> <vcpupin vcpu='1' cpuset='13'/> <vcpupin vcpu='2' cpuset='14'/> <vcpupin vcpu='3' cpuset='15'/> <vcpupin vcpu='4' cpuset='28'/> <vcpupin vcpu='5' cpuset='29'/> <vcpupin vcpu='6' cpuset='30'/> <vcpupin vcpu='7' cpuset='31'/> <emulatorpin cpuset='0,16'/> </cputune> Hi DoeBoye, I'm glad you have got it sorted out now When you say you isolated the cpus did you have to isolate them from the host using isolcpus= in the syslinux.config or you pinned the emulation calls to separate cores with <emulatorpin cpuset='0,16'/> Just so others reading with same prob know how you solved it Good point! I did both! I used isolcpus in the syslinux.config file, and emulatorpin in the XML for both my vpns!
  12. I'll see if I can come up with something for your board. Fantastic! :-) Thank you so much! Is there anything I can provide to help? Logs or test results maybe?
  13. Yeah. That makes sense about the cpu fans. I'd really love to get that last case fan quieter though. Is there a hint in the other post I linked to? I believe he was saying the other fans are somehow linked to the other cpu? The configure button doesn't work in my case. It can't seem to find any fans and creates an empty file...
  14. Hurrah! Progress!! Now Case fans 2 + 3 are behaving as they should. CPU fan 1 also slowed down, but not sure why, as it doesn't seem to want to speed up again when I set the high threshold artificially low... This is what I have: { "ASRockRack": { "raw": "00 3a 01 00", "auto": "00 00 00 00 00", "full": "64 64 64 64 64", "fans": { "CPU_FAN1_1": "00", "CPU_FAN2_1": "00", "FRNT_FAN2": "00", "FRNT_FAN3": "00", "FRNT_FAN4": "00" } } } Any thoughts on how to get CPU2 and Fan4 working?
  15. So my sensors are all reporting as they should, but I am still having issues with fan control. I renamed and reordered my fans in the board.json file, and all my fans are now appearing properly with temp sensor, low and high threshold and minimum speed, but changing the settings doesn't seem to affect my fans in any way. They are all constantly running at full tilt. I noticed in another thread, another user with the same board mentioned our board does things a little differently, but I'm not sure how to apply his comments to my install That's some good info. Where'd you get it from? The current status command works for my board, which could be useful. Did you try the ipmi plugin? Looks like case fans could be controlled as it's currently written. [EDIT] The ipmifan log seems to reflect the speed changes I set in the gui (ie: minimum fan speed), but fan speeds do not actually change... 2017-01-07 23:02:34 CPU_FAN1_1(50%):CPU_BSP1 Temp(42°C), CPU_FAN2_1(50%):CPU_AP1 Temp(41°C), FRNT_FAN2(47%): HDD Temperature(30°C), FRNT_FAN3(17%):HDD Temperature(30°C), FRNT_FAN4(17%):HDD Temperature(30°C) Any thoughts on how to proceed? Thanks!

  17. has worked on 3 nvidia cards for me, after I was pointed in the right direction This worked almost perfectly for me to get HDMI sound from my Radeon RX460! Thanks!! Only issue I have is that there seems to be a very minor crackle/pop every few seconds from the sound. It's easiest to hear if you listen to something without any variation. I find listening to a tone makes any crackles/pops immediately obvious: Ex: https://www.youtube.com/embed/TxHctJZflh8 Any thoughts on a cure? Later in the thread there's talk of isolating cpus and such. Would this cure a minor crackle/pop in the sound from HDMI?
  18. Probably unrelated, but worth a shot: For awhile I was having an issue where Sabnzbd could not move completed files to the final destination folder. The issue turned out to be another file already in the same folder had an apostrophe in the file name and for some bizarre reason, Sabnzbd was confused and could not move the file it had just downloaded because of it. As soon as I renamed the other file, Sab could save into the folder... Just for kicks, I would confirm there are no apostrophes in the file names (and any other unusual special characters) of the files/folder already in the destination folder that Sonarr is trying to move files into.
  19. So far so good! No video issues with it at all. Boots every time, and has been running without problems for a week straight. Only thing I haven't tested is audio. My monitor does not support HDMI, so I'm not sure how the audio functions on it. That said, I have purchased an hdmi matrix that splits the hdmi audio out and will hopefully prove to be a solution to macOS audio. I've tried external usb cards (dongles), and they work great on my WInodws 10 VM, but I cannot get them functioning in Sierra... It doesn't benchmark very well, from a gaming perspective, but if you're just looking for Office and design use, I think it's a great choice... Awesome! thanks for the info! yea, I don't care about gaming. Just looking to sell my iMac and use this as my desktop machine for general stuff! I run 2 zotac gt 710 and 1 msi gt 730 cards. All have worked out of the box for video. All run audio with the hdmi kext added. They are very inexpensive good choices for basic computing and very light gaming (like roblox, but with some image tearing here and there.) I haven't watched the video yet but is it mentioned in the video or somewhere here how to add the hdmi kext, and which one to get? I used to build hackintosh's but its been a few years. Thanks! +1! Not sure which kext. Please expand :-)

  21. Perfect! A very handy option! Thanks for the clarification Jonathan and binhex!
  22. Post 2 in this thread, FAQ Q4 Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk Hi, binhex. Thanks for the quick response! I actually read that before posting, which is where my question came from . I wasn't 100% clear on what you wrote, so I was just confirming if my understanding was correct (Privoxy allows the browser on my PC to access the VPN tunnel through a proxy). I guess my confusion mostly stems from the fact that I didn't realize that actions a docker takes could affect applications on my PC...
  23. Sorry if this has been asked before, but regarding Privoxy: This has nothing to do with Deluge. Bundling it together with this docker is just a convenient way to provide users with a way to access the VPN tunnel when using their browser for regular browsing. Nothing to do with torrenting. Is that right?
  24. For posterity, I gave up on the radeon 460, and nvidia 750ti. Instead, I bought a Zotac 2GB GT 710, and it works flawlessly without Nvidia drivers. Shows Clover boot screen, displays properly in the info screen. Supports Metal. No artifacts. Not a gaming card, but this vm will only be used for graphic design, so it should be more than enough for that purpose. As an aside, do I need to install the nvidia cuda drivers or do the macOS drivers include full cuda support?
  25. Just to confirm, you're talking about the GTX 760, not the 760ti, right?
