Enable https but keep http?
Yeah, this doesn't apply. The reason is I'm not using the my servers, thus it doesn't create a certificate for local ip address. When I enter the https://ipaddress/ like showed in the doc, it redirect me to the fqdn of the certs, which is a duckdns.org url, wether I used http or https url. Using a my server generated certificate solved this since it's creating a cert with the fqdn and ipaddress. I also tried server.localtld and it also redirected me

Move file to share locally (Solved)
Hello everyone, I got about 12TB of data to move from an old server to unraid. I'm currently doing it over 1gbit network and it's taking forever. Thus, I was wondering, can I hookup the old hdd to unraid, mount them (ntfs format) and do a local copy with midnight commander? If yes, if I copy it to /mnt/user/share, will it use the share allocation method I specified like if I was doing it through samba share? Thank you

[6.9.2] Editing ident.cfg timezone cause wrong timezone in gui
Hello, I currently have "UTC -05:00 Eastern Time (US & Canada)" Set in the date and time settings. This make the ident.cfg file on the flash drive show timeZone="America/New_York". I wanted to have timeZone="America/Montreal" instead since it's available. When I set that in the cfg file and restart my server, it showed "UTC -08:00 Pacific Time (US & Canada)", which is wrong. Thank you

Unraid caching lots of RAM (solved)
Hello everyone, I have a new unraid installation and when I go into system stat, I see that I have 10GB used, 22GB free and 90GB cached (120GB of ram). What is that caching all about? Is it like the cache pool for hdd but in rams? I see that it fluctuate a lot right now, I'm currently copying on a share 8TB of datas (brand new array). Thank you!

Hard drive replacement (solved)
Yeah I know. I had these 2 drives in my pc so while I know 512GB is lost, it's better then have only 1 SSD in the cache and no protection. Thanks

Hard drive replacement (solved)
Ok, and doing so, this won'T remove vm and docker from the gui (like I don't have to redo all my docker config or other stuff, it's just the array config that's wipe?)

Hard drive replacement (solved)
Yeah, that's what I did. But now, it doesn't want me to replace the parity and data disk at the sametime, thus I need to put back one of my old drive. If I do New Config, do I loose all my dockers /vm config (in fact, what do I lose?

Enable https but keep http?
Hello, I would like to be able to have http and https enabled at the sametime, or at least no redirect? The thing is I have a certificate signed for remote login, thus with my full domain. I have pihole setup to redirect this url directly to my server and it work properly. But when pihole is down, the redirection doesn't work thus it tries to access it through the router, and that's where it fail because 80 and 443 aren't open on the internet. Is there a way to just not have the redirection and keep http? I just want it for when I need to take my array down and not mess with host file. Thank you

Ah but my Xeon doesn't have iGPU Bah, that NVENC will do the job anyway. Thanks again and sorry for the wrong error

Hard drive replacement (solved)
Hello everyone, I have an unraid server that is running for about 2 weeks now. Current scenario is cache pool with 1tb and 512gb SSD in raid 1 and array of 2tb parity disk and 1tb data disk. The array disk are installed simply for me waiting for the real hdd, 3x 16tb. In the meantime, no share were made, only dockers container. I was wondering, can I put all the share (auto share like appdata) on cache only so everything is copied to the cache (I got about 20gb space used), then scrap the whole array, put in the new hdd (I don't have enough sata port to connect all of them at the sametime without removing older one) and then go from there? The parity check on the 16tb is estimated to 3 days, I don't want it to rebuild each time I put a new drive and I though if I put everything on cache, it should work, no? Thank you

Thanks ich for the explanation. It wasn't a war I tried to start, really just understanding. In a perfect world, I wouldn't have transcoding and most of what I watch on my TV is direct play anyway. Transcoding will be mostly for mobile viewing and it's people normally watching 720p tv show thus a 4k re-encode shouldn't bother them to much. As for my P5000, well, I'm sorry about the false reporting. my order included a P5000 and I have a RTX 4000, I'll have to go back to my seller.... My mistake

[Plugin] Nvidia-Driver
Hello everyone, I have a Quadro P5000 in my tower but the driver report it as a Quadro RTX 4000. Is there anyway to fix this? It still work fine, I'm just wondering if it's reporting other incorrect data since it's not the right card. On another note, I saw some post up that you say iGPU transcoding does a better job then NVENC? Unfortunatly, I don't have iGPU on my Xeon but I was wondering where this is from cause I have that P5000 specifically for that to be used in emby with 4k hdr transcoding. I was doing it on a poor little i3-530 before, which is really struggling today. Thank you!
