I guess it seems fine. I do have an array, just no parity. by fine, I guess I mean unRAID doesn’t report any disk errors and then all of a sudden I get them after months and I don’t physically touch the server or change anything on OS. I will open it up in the morning and follow your instruction. thank you!!

I have pci cards with connectors that break out to 4 sata data cables each. I have a couple power splitters that are 1x4 I beleive. Everything works fine for a couple of months and then I get these issues. I don;t even reboot or touch the server. Just confused as how it works and then all of a sudden my cables are an issue (sorry still new to this). I think I was forced to use some splitters because my PSU doesn;t have all that many power cables. And I don;t have any splitters on splitters I can tinker with all the power cables tomorrow morning and reply back. Thanks for your help

I’m not sure what the back plane is. Do you mean like on a 4U rack server? I have a define 7XL tower with all my drives in it.

The new config is the original config with drives in same place I just had to mount the drive that was having issues (Disk 2) I will not touch it unless told to again. Here is new diagnostics media-server-diagnostics-20250320-2112.zip

I tried changing to a new config to at least get Plex up and running, but now a new different disc shows unmountable. Not sure what is going on

Thank you for reply. I stopped the array to restart it after posting this and now one of my disks is missing so it won;t restart in order to send diagnostics

Some of my dockers won't launch in browser. I saw there was an update from 7.0 to 7.01 and did it and it didn;t change anything. Everything has worked good and have had uptime of over a month. Got a notice that there were 4 disks with errors, but dashboard only shows 1 Smart error and that his been there for a long while I just never cleared the alert. It's weird b/c Sonarr, Lidarr and Sabnzbd are all launching in web browser, but Radarr, Tautulli and Plex do not. All the files seem to be there. I am not very experienced yet Not sure what to do. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I tried typing "MEDIA-SERVER" (and adding the share name after) and could not access. Perhaps mine is a different issue. Should I try restarting the array? I attributed this to upgrading to 7.0, as I haven;t experienced this issue prior. Thx EDIT: I restarted the array and it resolved. Thanks (and sorry for unintentional hijacking)

I'm not sure why I chose hourly. I think after I lost a large HDD and I was reacquiring all the missing files, the cache was filling up (1TB NVME mirrored to another). So maybe I changed it. The server is media only (Plex) and I've not noticed any performance hit operating this way. Is this a bad idea? I m still relatively new to unRAID (as you can likely see from my post!) Should I re-download a new version of Mover Tuning? I don't see any Mover settings otherwise. Do you know if the plugin is being updated for 7.0? What are my alternatives? EDIT: I found the Mover settings. I guess I was using those before and not the Moving Tuner. idk Thanks

SOLVED - for any others having this issue: So using the log verbiage, a Google search led me to the fact that CA Mover Tuning was the culprit. I removed it, and it is now working. Perhaps the features of CA Mover Tunbing are now built in to unRAID 7? idk

I recently upgraded to unRAID 7. I am attempting to manually move files from cache to array via the "Move" button on Main page and by "Move Now" button on the CA Mover Tuning Plugin Page. Both refresh the page, but do not invoke the move. I enabled Mover Logging after several attempts, but do not know where the log resides. I have it scheduled to move hourly. It was working properly prior to upgrade (both scheduled and manual moves). Looking at some of the files in the cache, it seems some have been there for several hours to a full day, so I don't think the scheduled move is working properly either. I am not running out of room, but certainly will soon, if its not moving Any help is appreciated.

My PSU is 2 months old, but...I'll try to find my previous or order one. Everything is running well except that I'm losing my user shares... The other software is running fine, just doesn't have the shares to direct where to put files. I'm not getting any warnings or alerts either. This seems really strange

So the shares disappeared again!! I don;t know what to do manmedia-server-diagnostics-20240906-1822.zip One drive with read errors knocks my whole array out (shares at least). Read errors are sata data or can be power too? Confused

Thank you! If I use molex and sata from PSU, I think I can minimize splitters. I have 18 drives currently (2 18TB parity I've yet to add)

Not sure I have enough from my power supply, but I will swap them out if I do. Can you send me link to what you use? Also, I removed (2) more problem drives and created new config to see what happens next. I am leaving shortly, but it took a little time before issues arose last time (30-60mins I beleive). Let's say it wasn't the drives, can I add them back into the array with all the data still on it (since it has already been formatted, etc)? Or do I need to migrate one at a time like I did going from Windows to unRAID? Thank you for your help!!! I will post the results
