  1. AFAIK there have only been issues with the ST8000VN004, and only when used with an LSI HBA, not clear so far if it's a general issue with that combo or it only affects some users.
  2. Yes, but it doesn't support > 2.2TB disks.
  3. If you saved the diags (or haven't rebooted yet) post them, they might give more details on the problem.
  4. You need to remove -n or nothing will be done, and if it asks for it use -L.
  5. Those are the most usual, so no need for diags, if you don't have more issues, especially after some heavy IO like a parity check, it might not be a general problem, which unfortunately will make it harder to fix.
  6. There's corruption in the tree block, best bet is to backup and re-format.
  7. For now I'm mostly interested in someone not having issues with that combo, to see if there's something different, like a specific LSI/drive firmware or even HBA model, but in case your issue was really a connection problem and if it doesn't happen again in the next couple of weeks or so then please PM me your diags at that time.

  9. You can use raid5/6 btrfs pools for better performance, I have several, just be aware that there are still some known issues with btrfs and raid5/6, so it's important to have good backups.
  10. Yes, the LSI SAS/SATA controller, problem wouldn't exist if you could connect them to the onboard Intel SATA ports.
  11. Try uninstalling the Dynamix sleep plugin, it has known issues with v6.9.
  12. For now I'm only interest in the ST8000VN004 when connected to an LSI.
  13. I would prefer to see the SMART report but if the WD extended test passed the disk should be OK, at least for now.
  14. Are they connected to an LSI? If yes please post diags just to see if there's something different.
  15. Not really since you rebooted since, if you don't have the old diags you can post a SMART report for the old disk.
  16. Try a different PCIe slot if available, if the same try another HBA if you can.
  17. SMART test passed so disk is OK for now, keep monitoring for future issues.
  18. If you have an LSI and 8TB Ironwolf drive(s) (only model ST8000VN004) probably best to stick with v6.8 for now, there have been multiple users with issues that can result in disable disks after upgrading to v6.9, on the other hand if anyone using them upgraded without issues please post back.
  19. Upgrading the firmware is very easy and can be done with Unraid, unfortunately the erase BIOS command doesn't work with the Linux tool, but it's still easy to do if you boot with DOS flash drive, or UEFI shell if the board has UEFI.
  20. There's a known issue with LSI + ST8000VN004, if you can't use another controller for those disks best to stick with v6.8 for now.
  21. Please post the diagnostics: Tools -> Diagnostics
