Tower cases with 5.25" drive bays top to bottom...
The 4220 is a better option in my opinion and the one that I use for my unRAID setup.

The 5X3 Cage review - Norco, SuperMicro, iStarUSA and Icy Dock
Thanks prostuff. That was quick. I figured the norco would be the no brainier due to the case. Have you had any experience with the rpc 470? No direct experience but we build a lot of servers in the norco 4224 and 4220. We use the norco 5x3 in all our builds.

We use Server grade motherboard for our builds and have not bother looking at "consumer" motherboard in the last 6-12 months. We user the Supermicro X9SCM boards in our builds.

We like and use the Norco drive cages. We also switch the Fans out, with these, if absolute quite is required. They connect via SATA and take a molex power connection.

Tower cases with 5.25" drive bays top to bottom...
It has a built in fan control that 6 fans can be hooked up to. I am sure you could make it quite, it just depends on how much you want to spend doing it. I will have a review of the case up on the Greenleaf website in the next month or so. I have to get photos taken of it and write everything up. First impression of the case though are that it is very sturdy, well made, and is most likely the nicest case available for a 16 or less drive build. You can get 10, 13, and 16 drive builds in this case.

You are very limited on cases that will hold that many drives. Most tower cases that will hold that many drives require 5-in-3 drive cages which run 100ish apiece. For that many drives your best bet is a rackmount case. If you can do 16 drives the Zalman MS800 with 3 x 5-in-3 drives cages and a single drive cage would get you 16. The case will run you around 90 but is on sale at newegg right now for 70 after a rebate.

Didn't Receive Your Registration Key?
We are having the same issue with some of our Greenleaf customers. The "@greenleaf-technology.com" account seems to be directed to SPAM folders in gmail and hotmail based on some of the reports we have received. From my initial look into things we are not in any of the SPAM databases so we are not sure what is going on. limetech: If you figure out what is going on please drop us an email.

My coolink fans are on the way, and this interests me also. Is this a viable option?? I would imagine so, but you more than likely void the warranty and make it impossible to return. Breaking them off and using some double sided tape, instead of screws, would probably achieve the same result.

LSI Controller FW updates IR/IT modes
It is not so much that support has been removed. There are issues with the drivers in the kernel in the later betas, and LimeTech does not have control over that. Support for them still exists in emhttp but the linux kernel.

MicroServer N36L/N40L/N54L - 6 Drive Edition
Shouldn't the Tardis be able to jump forward in time to the point at which the drive finished preclearing, then jump back with the precleared drive?

Can you point me to that script and flashing instructions? um... look at the first post in this thread. I already answered this question.

MicroServer N36L/N40L/N54L - 6 Drive Edition
Good to here!! I will be testing out a 4TB drive on an N40L here in a little while.

MicroServer N36L/N40L/N54L - 6 Drive Edition
I will see what I can do. We (Greenleaf) will be testing out the drive on all of the configurations that we can. I have the microserver to test it on and I know it will be tested on a SASLP and a monoprice SIL3132, probably on a number of different boards. I have an ECS board that I can test it one, along with an older Gigabyte board. Testing on the different setups should commence in the next week or so but probably won't be finished for about a month (to make sure we covered all our bases) and you should see a post/blog entry on the Greenleaf web site.

MicroServer N36L/N40L/N54L - 6 Drive Edition
I grabbed one of the N40L when they went on sale with a free 2TB Hitachi drive. Have been messing with it for the last couple days and it is a nice little bit of kit for sure. Going to be doing some testing on it (4TB drive support and a few other things). I am probably going to move my crashplan backup over to this little guy so it is not running on my main unRAID machine.

There use to be, the CollerMaster 590 (what a great case, simple sturdy and nothing fancy) but that case has been discontinued.

Looking for better ideas how how to sleep/suspend my unraid box
I moved the package from /boot/packages folder into the /boot/Extra folder plus removed the ultra.cfg file. Additionaly I removed all simple-features related go script entries. Then I rebooted the server but the result is the same as it was before. I think I'm not the only one with that issue looking at the reply #485 from here:http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=12698.new;topicseen#new Maybe we continue there as this is the better place to cover? Hold down shift and hit refresh in the browser a couple of times.

The Power Supply Thread
That is a very beefy looking supply for sure. Looks like a good choice if you are going to go with that many drives. From the quick specs lookup I did it has a single 12V rail with 83 Amps so you should be good to go there. figure 2 amps per green drive and 3 amps per 7200RPM drive and you should be around the amps you need for only the drives. If you need more modular connectors I suggest getting in contact with OCZ, sometimes the company will send you more of a particular connector at little or no cost. I have had corsair send me extra connectors before and they did not even charge me for them.

The Power Supply Thread
I am sure that dgaschk meant no disrespect or anything of that sort. He quoted the above as it points out what a good unRAID PSU is. The above post is a little bit of an over reaction on your part. The part he quote specifies the qualities of a good unRAID PSU. Looking at the quote it does not mention that 2 would be better than one. 2 PSU's is almost never better than a single PSU, save for in the case of redundant PSU's and that is another ballgame entirely. And your English is good, I know some people where English is there first language and you speak it better than them
