So i'm currently thinking of upgrading from my norco to this Supermicro case. Supermicro 4u my question is would i have any issues removing the redundant psu and putting in a single rail one i currently have a Seasonic 1050 that i would like to put in the supermicro and possibly remove the loud fans to install some noctuas. Reason for this is i have my server in my office and have grown accustomed to how quiet my norco is with the noctua fans all around as it runs quiet and cool. I have read on older post where people have managed to put a regular PSU and noctua fans in place of the stock ones. Not sure if anyone else has done it and if it would be safe to do so. My current setup is x2 Xeon 2690 V2 ,X9DR3-F-B, 128GB Samsung ecc ram, LSI00244 9201-16i , Seasonic X-1050, and planning on adding a gtx 1080 down the line. I have mainly WD Red drives and so far i have had no issues with cooling or temp. Any advice would be appreciated thanks.
