  1. 6.1.8 currently. This all happened when I updated to this version, and updated the Unassigned Devices version (which required 2 updates for me to get current, the errant text on the main page was in both the current newest version, and the version right before it).
  2. Removed the plugin and removed the configuration folder, then did a reinstall and got this: plugin: installing: https://github.com/dlandon/unassigned.devices/raw/master/unassigned.devices.plg plugin: downloading https://github.com/dlandon/unassigned.devices/raw/master/unassigned.devices.plg plugin: downloading: https://github.com/dlandon/unassigned.devices/raw/master/unassigned.devices.plg ... done plugin: downloading: "https://github.com/dlandon/unassigned.devices/raw/master/unassigned.devices-2016.02.13.tgz" ... done plugin: downloading: http://slackbuilds.org/mirror/slackware/slackware64-current/slackware64/a/ntfs-3g-2015.3.14-x86_64-1.txz ... done +============================================================================== | Installing new package /boot/config/plugins/unassigned.devices/packages/ntfs-3g-2015.3.14-x86_64-1.txz +============================================================================== Verifying package ntfs-3g-2015.3.14-x86_64-1.txz. 5. Would it be possible to add: cksfv v1.3.14: http://www.iki.fi/shd/foss/cksfv/ I use it in my download script to check the downloads against their supplied .sfv files.
  6. Would it be possible to make the Cache SSD Trim configurable as to what drive(s) it actually runs on? I don't use a SSD for cache, but I do use it for everything docker. I'm currently using a script installed into the daily cron job list to do it, but would rather be able to manage it via the UI if possible.
  7. Think you could add cksfv to the tools pack? http://zakalwe.fi/~shd/foss/cksfv/
  8. Running this on my AMD FX-8520-based unraid box, with the light power setting, and set to run when I'm working it's getting my CPU up to about 41c, and says it's using 4 of my cores (I show 6 cores pegged at 3500, so it's either using more, or other processes on my box are maxing the others). Ran it since yesterday afternoon, and it didn't appear to affect my deluge processes, plex (at least 2 clients running), sonaar or nzbget (I have others running, but they are light use compared to those processes). Also running one VM under KVM. I'm using a Corsair H60 water-cooling system in my server with push-pull fans, and so far it's kept the system from overheating at all (before the H60, without FaH I was hitting high between 48-58 depending on what was going on at the time, too close to the FX thermal overload temp for my taste). Prior to FAH I was sitting at about 28c constant on the CPU. SO make sure you have proper cooling if you're going to be pushing your CPU usage up with something like this... Other than bumping up the CPU temps a bit, it seems to run fine (I did have to add another subnet to the allow list, as I manage it from work across a hardware VPN connection, if you need additional subnets allowed, just put them in the same line as the existing ones, seperated by a comma).
  9. You have to go into admin mode, under comics and books, and add your scan directories and authorized users for each directory. Once you've done that, you can scan files. Currently have it scanning my ebooks, and it's up to about 6500 or so (my comics collection is lacking, only 133, or the existing releases of The Walking Dead, lol).
  10. I would fork this to a thread on its own and do a harder sell than that (with screenshots). Most people have no clue about MusicBrainz and Picard goodness and even the ones that do (me) have no clue why I would want to run a server for it. fork fork fork.. sell sell sell I get you!... I'm fed up with the '503 errors' when querying my 30000+ songs I'm running the vmware vm currently on a windows box, and it appears that I still get 503 errors occasionally, although much less often than with the live server. There IS a musicbrainz docker, but it's kind of a PITA to set up. I've got the first parts done, just need to get a good, working DBDefs.pm file set up for it. My current VM is using about 34g of space total (that's everything tho, not sure how much is database, and how much is OS), and it's up to date as of about 2am last night. It takes FOREVER to update the database from the 05/14 VM release to current, then build the search indicies. But to me it's well worth it if it keeps me from hitting that spam protection 503 error every half second, lol. The docker is located here: https://registry.hub.docker.com/u/rickatnight11/musicbrainz-server/ I'll see if I can get it up and running, if I do, I'll post notes on how to go about it. It's not going to work with the nice extended dock config, as you have to access the docker container directly to edit files, and start replication, etc. Looks like even with a properly configured DBDefs.pm, the docker (as it's set up anyway) doesn't include postgresql in the install, so there's no database or connection configured. I'm guessing the original creator of this docker has a postgresql docker set up on his system with the required database already configured in it, and this docker just connects to that instance. Adding postgressql to the docker is above my pay grade, so hopefully someone else can take what he's started, and create a docker that will run out of the box, with postgresql and all that installed, ready to go.
  11. Yeah, I made that mistake years ago on a 'hotswap' chassis that was plugged into a non-swap controller, it wasn't pretty. Even with the ability to swap drives hot, I always shut the system down, too many bad things happen when you mess with stuff with electricity flowing .
  12. Moved my Unraid box from the Antec 300 case pictured earlier in this thread to a Antec 900 case last night, also added another Supermicro 5-in-3. Now I just need one more of the 5-in-3's, and the system will support 15 drives, all hot-swap (that's more drives than my mobo/card combos will support at the moment, so I'm also looking at upgrading the board to something that I can hit the 15-drive mark on the PCI-E buss, no standard PCI).

Anybody see any reason I shouldn't put this drive in my unraid box?
  14. I've been having an issue where on a cold-start, one drive won't spin up, but a reset right after detection, they all spin up fine. I think I'm going to replace my existing power supply with a Corsair VX450, as their calculator says it should be good for my hardware, with up to 15 drives. The supply I have now doesn't do any sort of load-balancing between the rails (like the corsair's do), so I figure just replace it and I'll be good for a while (and Newegg has a 15.00 MIR on it right now). if you use the calculator on Corsair's website they will probably say this power supply is enough. The website says specifically - >> Planned Expansion (on the off-chance that I might need more than 9 drives): Not sure you need all those parts. You could go with 5in3s in a good case and not have any outside wiring. So if you were to double check your power supply and needs, then consider the 5in3's and a new case, you could fit it all in one place.
  15. Didn't catch that part at first. Don't you mean daily parity checks, lol? (For one reason or another, I've done one about every day this week, it's a great way to push the drives to see the max-temps, lol).
  16. It also appears to spin up much faster than my PATA 80g .
  17. I was thinking of using a 320 2.5" as a cache drive, plenty fast for that, and low power/heat .
  18. Yeah, I didn't until last week . Now if I could just find a rail/enclosure system that lets you adapt a 2.5" drive to a 3.5" slot that would work in my trayless box, I'd be set...
  19. Front pic, not great quality, but shows the hotswap bays... 20. Just re-arranged my drives, and installed the Adaptec card, and cleaned up the cabling a little bit. Looks much better than it did, that's for sure. I may end up using the 300 case for my dual Xeon (which might get re-purposed yet, just not 100% sure, lol) and replace it with a Antec 900 (although those Centurion cases are much cheaper, and look to have the same bay-setup, just without the 200+mm fan in the top). If I do that I'm definitely going to get a more suitable power supply (although this appears to be running fine, I had an odd problem on bootup after re-arranging where the 500g Pata didn't show up until I did restart after power-on, could be power related?).
  21. I'm using this same case at the moment, although I wish I had done a bit more research (I'd have gotten another 900 case, since the lower 6 bays are 5.25 in it, where the 300 is 3.5" down there). I've currently got the lower 6 bays full, and a 4-in-3 in the top bays (with only 2 drives at the moment). I need to change out my power supply, as it's a tri-rail, with 19a on each (and rail 3 isn't used at all with my configuration). I'm going to try to neaten up my wiring in the box as soon as the sata to molex adapters come in (I have plenty of SATA plugs on my power supply, but only 4 PATA, so using the 4/3 rack I have is problematic at best since it only uses molex plugs, and 3 of those are being used currently by my PATA drives...).
