  1. Got it. Will update manually. I am also taking away that I need to keep the auto-updates inside the dockers disabled (e.g., Sonarr offers). Otherwise, I am calling for trouble with the docker I assume?
  2. Thanks, that's quite of an issue... Any pointers on the first two issues? And maybe also any thoughts whether there is a tool around that allows me to check whether port forwarding is even possible with my ISP (and if so what ports).
  3. Thanks for developing this docker. I am on Unraid 6.4.0_rc14. Not fully clear to me from reading this thread whether this is making things easier with letsecrypt or more difficult. I have not succeeded yet to set up the docker. Few issues: * Setting the https port in docker settings to 443 does not work (related to 6.4?). Also tried 445, which also doesn't work (though not taken by Unraid). I tried 444, which happens to work. Would love to understand though why 443 and 445 are not working * I cannot access the UI. Log shows me two error message: certbot: error: argument --cert-path: No such file or directory Failed authorization procedure. myname.duckdns.org (tls-sni-01): urn:acme:error:connection :: The server could not connect to the client to verify the domain :: Timeout [s6-finish] sending all processes the KILL signal and exiting. I have not forwarded any ports in my router yet, so this may be related? Also, I am not sure whether I can even forward ports in my router as my IPS may restrict this?
  4. Sorry, not the OP, but the third post. See above the comment on self-updating. Is this possible now? Same question for other dockers.
  5. Thanks for the development. I started using it and it is very good. I have two questions related to updating the docker: 1) I am only using it for a short time and the docker frequently can be updated. This is weird as sabnzbd only has stable updates once every few months. Am I accidentally using nightly builds? 2) The OP says that an auto-update function exists. How can this be enabled and is it recommended to do so?
  6. First of all big thanks to @Fma965 for the great write-up. This is very heplful. As a first step I'd just like to get Nextcloud to work, but I like to have the options of adding sabnzbd (not specified in write-up?) and other dockers at later stage. Unfortunately, I am failing with some of the very basic, so will need some advice: 1) I cannot specify port 443 as it is used by something else. I don't know by what and "deployed host ports" within the docker settings does not show any docker using 443. Any idea how to find out what is using this port? 2) After setting up the docker, I cannot access unraid with my-IP:81 from my home networK. Any idea why not working. Related to (1)? Below some error messages from the log: certbot: error: argument --cert-path: No such file or directory Failed authorization procedure. myname.duckdns.org (tls-sni-01): urn:acme:error:connection :: The server could not connect to the client to verify the domain :: Connection refused 3) I have not forwarded the ports in my router yet. I have not tried in recent times, but I am not sure whether my ISP allows me to forward ports 443. If so, can I use a different port? Is there some app for Unraid or others that allows me to learn what ports can be forwarded and which ones are blocked by my ISP? 4) I actually "own" a domain and may want to use this eventually. Do I still need duckerdns in this case or how would I set it up directly? It is a domain hosted by strato.de 5) Any reason why sabnzbd is not part of the tutorial? More difficult to do or not suggested for security? 6) This thread includes something alarming. I hadn't thought about what I am doing with reverse proxy would impact what I do in my home network. Can required changes for the respective dockers to still work in the home network after setting up reverse proxies be added to the tutorial? Thanks again for your help!
  7. Has there been an update? Or any suggestions on alternatives? Would love to automate to add meta data to Radarr movie downloads (automated right after download). Any ideas?
  8. I'll give it a go with a fresh install. I must have done something wrong along the way. Before I do so, wanted to understand whether it is now supported to use Clover versions beyond 4200? There was a ticket for it, but got closed. I don't fully understand what the solution is. Can someone comment? https://sourceforge.net/p/cloverefiboot/tickets/411/
  9. Thanks @david279. What video of @gridrunner are you referring to to handle virt-manager? Is this still really needed or is there an easy work-around within the image or with working with the xml files? Also, do you mind to elaborate a bit how you did the efti thing to migrate from the iso-disk to the local harddisk. I followed the steps in youtube, but it didn't work. What you describe above reads different and probably the way to go for me as well. Thanks again!
  10. thanks. perfect. it also worked with 4200 for me and not with the later versions. did you follow some step to step guide to migrate from vnc to gpu. i don’t know virt manager and have never used a ubuntu vm. sounds a lot of work to get the nvidia drivers to work. can you share step by step the EFI things you went through. it reads like you faced the same issue and also couldn’t just follow the youtube guide? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Great to hear @david279. What version of clover did you use and what guide did you follow to passthrough your Nvidia card? Did you succeed to "migrate" Clover to your local harddisk following the instructions in the youtube video from this thread?
  12. Thanks for your message. This is clear. If I understand you correctly, I can now make an attempt to pass through audio from my GTX1050, but you are suggesting that it would be even better to pass through all of the GTX1050 (both video and audio)? Is this understanding correct and is this possible in the meantime with High Sierra? I remember you said in one of your videos that the drivers may not be available yet? If available by now, do you have a video with the how-to as well? I remember there is plenty of complexity in passing through a primary GPU to a VM though? Also, don't want to be a pain, but I am still struggling to migrate Clover to my local harddisk. I followed all the steps of the videos (thanks again). What I don't get to work is what is being described from 16:01 in the youtube video onwards. The labels in disk utility don't match with what you show in the video. Also, only one of the two EFI partitions includes clover folder/files. Any thoughts what I am doing wrong?
  13. No worries, thanks, much appreciated your help and the great video guides on youtube. Have been an active user. I have two audio cards. One is-on-board and one is part of my GPU. I have been trying to pass through the on-board one. See below IOMMU groups: IOMMU group 14 [8086:a2d2] 00:1f.0 ISA bridge: Intel Corporation Device a2d2 [8086:a2a1] 00:1f.2 Memory controller: Intel Corporation 200 Series PCH PMC [8086:a2f0] 00:1f.3 Audio device: Intel Corporation 200 Series PCH HD Audio [8086:a2a3] 00:1f.4 SMBus: Intel Corporation 200 Series PCH SMBus Controller IOMMU group 36 [10de:1c81] 65:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation GP107 [GeForce GTX 1050] (rev a1) [10de:0fb9] 65:00.1 Audio device: NVIDIA Corporation GP107GL High Definition Audio Controller (rev a1) Any thoughts on my second question? Any more info required from me?
  14. Hope to get this sorted out. Let me provide you some more information. Context where the HW : only one GPU (GTX 1050) used in primary PCI slot, GPU used by Unraid and not assigned to VM Below how "lspci -v" gives me related to the GPU. You will notice that the kernel driver is not in use (this was different when I did this first and unbinded it). https://pastebin.com/8XFap1JA Followed the comments to bind the card again. See error message below: root@Tower:~# cd /sys/bus/pci/devices/0000:65:00.0/ root@Tower:/sys/bus/pci/devices/0000:65:00.0# echo 1 > rom root@Tower:/sys/bus/pci/devices/0000:65:00.0# echo 0 > rom root@Tower:/sys/bus/pci/devices/0000:65:00.0# echo "0000:65:00.0" > /sys/bus/pci/drivers/vfio-pci/bind -bash: echo: write error: No such device And some more info from tools/system devices in case this helps trouble-shooting: IOMMU group 36 [10de:1c81] 65:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation GP107 [GeForce GTX 1050] (rev a1) [10de:0fb9] 65:00.1 Audio device: NVIDIA Corporation GP107GL High Definition Audio Controller (rev a1) How can I "bind" the GPU again? What happened when I "successfully" unbinded my card?
  15. Any thoughts on above? My GPU (primary slot GTX 1050) is no longer binded and I don't know how to bind it again. I had unbinded to dump the bios, but then failed to bind it again. Any thoughts how to do so? Thanks in advance!
  16. I followed the instructions. Hope I didn't brick anything. I have an GTX1050, which is in my primary PCI port. I dumped the bios using commandline. I didn't move the card to a secondary slot, which I hope was ok? Everything actually worked and I succeeded to dump the bios. The only thing that didn't work is to bind the card again. I get an error message that this card doesn't exist. I initiall unbinded it. Everything seems to be still working though, but I am worried that I bricked something by not binding the card again?
  17. I have it somehow working now. Nice to have MacOS on Unraid. I am now left with two issues though: * I cannot pass-through the audio card. Once I do, I get the error message two posts above * I haven't succeeded yet to install/migrate Clover to my local harddisk. My issue starts in min 16:01 of the youtube video. The labels in disk utility don't match with what you show in the video. Also, only one of the two EFI partitions includes clover. Any help appreciated!
  18. Thanks for your replies. Besides the inconvenience to do backups, is there any other strong reason not to have a 1TB visk on the cache drive? Does it negatively impact performance or bring higher chance of corruption? I doubt I can get two vdisks to work with MacOS. And you are right, that MacOS doesn't allow to put my iphoto library on a mapped network drive (same as what you describe for your temp file). My SSD/NVME is the cache disk. It carries two vdisks (one is the VM for MacOS and one the VM for Win10). Is this not a good setup? With my setup, I don't think I can even passthrough teh SSD/NVME as the vdisks are on the SSD/NVME?
  19. Making baby steps forward, but not really moving to get the Mac VM installed. Above originated as I was passing through the audio card. While I'd eventually would love to get it working, I deactivated it for now. This allowed me to at least start the VM and see it throgh VNC. However, I am now facing the same issue as described before (Clover 4259 hangs). I had set up using a USB created using the latest youtube video (with fakesmc file). I then followed the suggestion below and manually added the OSK key to the XML file of the VM. However, this didn't change the issue. Any thoughts appreciated!
  20. Made an attempt this weekend, but failed to get it working. I followed the two USB videos to create a usb key and then set up the VM. At the time, I am first to start the VM I am seeing the following error message. I did some google search and change "Enable PCIe ACS Override" to "yes" in "Settings / VM Manager", but also no success. Any idea what I am doing wrong? Error message upon start below: *** internal error: process exited while connecting to monitor: 2017-10-22T12:00:04.747339Z qemu-system-x86_64: -chardev pty,id=charserial0: char *** device redirected to /dev/pts/1 (label charserial0)*** 2017-10-22T12:00:04.791750Z qemu-system-x86_64: -device vfio-pci,host=00:1f.3,id=hostdev0,bus=pci.4,addr=0x1: vfio error: 0000:00:1f.3: group *** 13 is not viable*** Please ensure all devices within the iommu_group are bound to their vfio bus driver.
  21. Any insights whether this is now broken with the latest Clover as some on this forum have asserted?
  22. Thanks. Super helpful video. I have two questions: 1) For what kind of updates do I need to reduce the cores to 1? I have done so when installing the Win10 VM, but not sure whether this is required again for the "normal" daily Windows patches and updates? Or the upcoming Creators update? 2) Why do you suggest a small vdisk? Is it per se better to map network disks within the VM for file storage? I am a heavy user of Itunes. Is there any difference or preferred method in having the itunes library within the vdisk (VM) or on a mapped network drive? 3) I am about to start a Mac High Sierra VM (thanks for guidance in the other thread). When it comes to vdisk size, do I need to start a large 1TB vidks or is there also some way to do this with a small 70GB vdisk? It loks that Mac OS lacks the capability to auto-mount network disks at startup and also Photos library apparently cannot run on a non-Mac native file system. So, I better have it all inside the vdisk?
  23. Thanks, this is great! Waiting for a reply whether things are broken with the latest Clover and then will give it a shot! This sounds really good!
  24. From Sierra to High Sierra? And it just worked?
